Francis (Moon) Mullins
1921-2015
Francis (Moon) William Mullins, 94, of South Branch passed away Tuesday, October 6, 2015 at the Sussex Health Center following a brief illness.
Born in Salisbury, he was the son of the late Frank and Edith (Fraser) Mullins. He was a retired Aircraft Engineer Crew Chief with Canadian Airways, formerly Eastern Provincial Airways and Maritime Central Airways. He enjoyed woodworking and country drives.
Survived and missed by son Stephen of Wickham; grandchildren Colin Mullins (Deanna) of Upper Coverdale and Lori Ferguson of Fall River, NS; great grandchildren Alli Ferguson and Ryan and Ethan Mullins. Predeceased by his wife Marion (Duhy); son Dennis (Danny); infant daughter Edith Ann and brother Mayes.
Resting at the Salisbury Funeral Home, 3350 Salisbury Road (372-4800) with visiting Friday, October 9 from 1 -3 pm. A private family graveside service will follow at Five Points Cemetery.

Ross Cameron
1932-2015
Earl Sinclair "Ross" Cameron, passed away peacefully at home in his 82nd year. He was a son of the late William and Isabel (nee MacKay) Cameron.
Dad leaves behind three children, sons Kevin (Kim) of Moncton, and Dale of Dartmouth, NS, daughter Sheila Duffy (Michael) of Middle Sackville, NS; grandson, Tyler; sister Matilda Shea, Dartmouth, NS, brother Donald (Freda) of Central West River, NS; sister-in-law Sheila Kitchen (Bruce) of Truro, NS; former daughter-in-law Mary Capstick of Florence, NS; cousins and many nieces and nephews. Dad also leaves behind his girlfriend and companion of more than 20 years, Ruth Parker of Riverview, NB. He was predeceased by wife Lucille, beloved daughter Yvonne, and brother Tom.
Dad was a long-haul and short-haul trucker, working his early years in Ontario at Bulk Carriers, then in the Maritimes at CN Rail (Route Canada), Day & Ross, and later for Tim Horton’s. He enjoyed the open road and had the opportunity to travel coast-to-coast across Canada and throughout much of the United States, a true outdoorsman; he loved hunting, fishing and being with nature. Many miles he’s walked in the woods, seeking the elusive game, with a few successful hunts along the way. Dad enjoyed spending time with his younger brother Donnie cutting wood on their land and loved bluegrass music, and attended many bluegrass festivals throughout the years where he met many lifelong friends. Dad was an amateur mechanic who enjoyed tinkering with cars, trucks, snowmobiles, ATV’s, and boats.
The family will receive guests at the Salisbury Funeral Home, 3350 Salisbury Road Tuesday from 6-9 pm and from where the funeral will be Wednesday, October 7 at 11 am in the chapel. Interment at Fairhaven Cemetery, Moncton.

T. Marie Prosser
1923-2015
(Thelma) Marie Prosser, 91, of the Jordan Life Care Centre and formerly of Salisbury passed away Saturday, September 26, 2015 at her residence.
Born in Saint John, she was the daughter of the late Claude and Ada (McLean) Lawson. Upon graduation from high school, Marie taught at Pokiok School for two years. She also taught at Bethel Bible School, and worked side by side with her husband in the pastoral ministry.
She is survived by sister-in-law Beulah Lawson; special friend Tina Smith and her family Jeffrey, Jacob and Beth as well as several nieces and nephews. Marie was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Predeceased by her husband Calvin; brother Charles Lawson and foster brothers George Sr. (Helen) Leffley, Wendall Lawson and Donald Irving.
Resting at Salisbury Funeral Home, 3350 Salisbury Road (372-4800) visiting will be Tuesday, September 29 from 1 pm until time of funeral at 2 pm with Rev. Luke Weaver officiating. Interment to follow at Maplewood Cemetery.

Richard Smith
1925-2015
Richard Leslie Smith, 89, of the Veteran's Health Center Moncton and formerly Salisbury and Oromocto passed away Tuesday July 14, 2015 at the Moncton Hospital. Born in Moncton he was the son of Vina Smith and was raised by his grandparents Harry and Isobel Smith. Richard was a Veteran of the Second World War having served in Continental Europe with the North Shore Regiment and was wounded in Belgium. A member of Branch 6 he was a faithful member of the Royal Canadian Legion wherever he lived and and recently received his 50 year membership award. He retired from the trucking industry after a long career. Richard enjoyed hunting and fishing, bluegrass music and his canine companions.
He was predeceased by his mother, grandparents, his two wives, Olive L (Amos), the mother of his children and Ida Peach (Chappell) and only daughter AnnaBelle Cusack. Survived and sadly missed by his sons Howard A. (Debby) and their children Carla LeBlanc (Derrick) and Andrew (Michelle); Richard (Rick) Jr. (Ruth) and their children Christopher (Amanda) and Jocelyn (Travis) and AnnaBelle's daughter Meaghan and by several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Also surviving are Ida's children and their families.
A tribute to a Veteran Service will be held Friday July 17 at 10:45 am at the Salisbury Funeral Home Chapel followed by the funeral at 11 am, Pastor Paul Pattison officiating with a reception to follow. Interment will be at the Burton Cemetery.
If desired memorials to the Canadian Cancer Society, the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Glad Tidings Church Building Fund would be appreciated by the family.
The family wish to thank the staff of the Veteran's Health Center for the wonderful care and love their father received and staff of 4600 at the Moncton Hospital.
Barbara Gaskin
1928-2015
It is with mixed emotion that we announce the passing of Barbara Constance Gaskin, 86, on Tuesday, February 10, 2015 of ProTem Special Care Home. Sadness for loved ones left behind and happiness for her, as Barb was taken into Glory by her Saviour the Lord Jesus Christ.
"Precious in the sight of the LORD is the death of his saints." Psalm 116:15
Barbara was born in Sussex, NB, the youngest child of Burpee and Ina (Eldridge) Bates. Her family moved to Moncton when she was six years old, and Barbara spent the rest of her life in this area, most of it in Gunningsville (now Riverview) and more recently in Upper Coverdale. Barb was a gentle soul with a ready smile and kind word for all. She had a lovely voice, and always enjoyed music and singing. Over the years she also enjoyed working in her flower and vegetable gardens, bird watching, and swimming at the YMCA.
She will be greatly missed by her husband of sixty-seven years, Norman Rogers Gaskin, her daughter Ruth Sharon Wheatley, Ruth's husband George Wheatley, all of Upper Coverdale. Barb will also be missed by special friends Stephen and Cheryl Epley of Red Bluff, California. She is predeceased by several brothers and one sister.
In keeping with Barb's wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral service. A private family service will take place at the Salisbury Funeral Home (372-4800) who are in care of the arrangements. Interment will take place at the Wesleyan Union Cemetery in the spring.
If desired, donations in Barb's memory can be made to the Alzheimer's Society or Friends of the Moncton Hospital.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Paulette and Chris Wallace of ProTem Health Services and their dedicated staff for the kindness shown and the excellent care provided for Barb during the past three years she has resided with them.
Marion F. Steeves
1941-2015
Marion Frances Steeves, 74, of Mellish Manor, Petitcodiac passed away Friday October 23, 2015 at the Moncton Hospital.
Born in Saint John she was a daughter of the late Harold and Gertrude (Culbert) Ward. A homemaker Marion enjoyed reading and spending time with her family.
Survived and sadly missed by her children Lana (Wayne) of Petitcodiac, Stacey of Fredericton and Bruce (Kathryn) of Riverview; cherished grandchildren Emily, Laura, Brooke, Chase, Blake, Dustin and Marlee; sisters Barbara McDougall of Saint John and Anne Louise Anderson of California and by several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by the father of her children Winston Steeves, her second husband Earl Steeves; her son Bradley; sisters Audrey McConaghy and Doris McDonald, brother Ronald Ward.
The family will gather at the Pleasant Vale Cemetery for a private service. Arrangements are in the care of the Salisbury Funeral Home and Crematorium (372-4800).

Melodie Peters Barron
1963-2016
Melodie Ann Peters Barron, 52, of Upper Coverdale passed away Saturday, March 12, 2016 at the Moncton Hospital.
Born in Charlottetown, she was the daughter of John (Jack) and Beulah (Haslam) Peters. Melodie was a homemaker and a Teacher's Assistant in the Greater Moncton area. She enjoyed woodworking, crafts, outdoors, the fish pond and loved spending time with family and friends.
She is survived and sadly missed by her husband Robert; daughter Angela Dawn Paquet of Riverview; step-sons Robert Barron (Sasha) of Calgary, Brad Barron (Jenna) of Riverview and Drew Barron (Ashly) of Riverview; granddaughter Jade Barron; sister Darlene Thompson (Terry) of Charlottetown; brothers David Peters (Colleen), Gary Peters and Tyson Peters (Kyra) all of Charlottetown; mother-in-law Betty Barron (late Munro) of Riverview and several nieces and nephews.
The service will be held at Salisbury Funeral Home, 3350 Salisbury Road (372-4800) Thursday, March 17 at 11:30 am with Rev. Jonathan Gorham officiating.
