Gerald Smith
1920-2016
Gerald Curtis Smith of Camden Terrace in Moncton, passed away on March 1, 2016 after a short illness.
He is survived by two daughters, Phyllis Eagles of Fredericton, NB and Gerry Lynn Mullarkey (Stewart) of Victoria, BC and his brother Ronald Smith (Jean) of Moncton, NB, two grandchildren, Tony Eagles (Susan) of Goose Bay, NL and Debra Eagles of Salisbury, NB, great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild, several nieces and nephews.
He is predeceased by his wife Dorothy and his son Barry.
He was a WW II veteran who worked for CN for 42 years. A long standing Legion member and a Masonic Lodge Member.
There will be no visitation at his request and arrangements through Salisbury Funeral Home.
Grace Carson
1942-2016
Grace L. Carson, 74, of Havelock passed away Saturday, March 12, 2016 at the Moncton Hospital.
Born in Amherst, NS, she was the daughter of the late Ralph and Roberta (Hicks) Northrup. She was the postmistress at the Havelock Post Office and Grace was an avid bingo player and former member of the Order of the Eastern Star.
She is survived by her sons Scott of Havelock and Jeffrey (Tammy) of Moncton; grandchildren Alley and Ryan Leaman; brothers Ronald Northrup (Diane) of Bathurst, Ralph Northrup (Dorothy) of B.C., Robert Northrup (Eva) of Moncton; sister Elizabeth Speilman of Calgary and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by brother Richard Northrup and sister-in-law Karla.
There is no visitation by request. There will be a graveside service in the spring at the Havelock Wesleyan Cemetery. Arrangements are in the care of Salisbury Funeral Home & Crematorium (372-4800). Special thank you to the owner and staff of the Silver Fox Nursing Home.

Graham Steeves
1944-2016
Graham Hubert Steeves of Havelock, ON, born June 22, 1944 in Steeves Settlement, NB, son of the late Alfonso and Violet Steeves passed away peacefully in his sleep on March 4th, 2016.
Predeceased by his wife, Judith (Arnold) Steeves, sisters Leota McConnell and Marilyn Steeves and nephew David Ogilvie. He leaves behind his long-time companion and good friend, Katherine Dunn. Survived by; loved and sadly missed by his sisters, Doreen (Don) Ogilvie, Constance (Walter) Alward, and Beverly (Don) Harper; brothers, Philip (Lynn), Ronald (Hazel), Deverne (Dorine), and Lynton; brothers-in-law, Clelland McConnell and Gerald Steeves, as well as many nieces and nephews. As well as his family, Graham loved their little dog 'Buttons' and he was passionate about his vegetable garden. There was always plenty and shared with friends and neighbours. Spring, summer and fall were mostly spent out-doors or enjoying a nap with Buttons in the breezes of the carport. He enjoyed many trips home to be with family. Graham, just like his Mother was a great cook and capable to taking on any task at home. At Graham's request, cremation has taken place and there will be no funeral.
Local donations to the Crohn's and Colitis Foundation of Canada may be made through Salisbury Funeral Home.
Ronald Copp
1943-2016
Ronald Samuel Copp, 72, of the Jordan Life Care Center and formerly of Salisbury West passed away Monday, February 15, 2016 at his residence.
Born in East Chester, NS, he was a son of the late Clifford and Della (Woodworth) Copp. Ron was a retired diesel mechanic with CNR and he attended Wheaton Settlement Baptist Church. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, time spent at his camp and his canine companions.
Survived and missed by his loving wife Laura E. (Killam); daughters Marianne S. Copp of Salisbury and Janet L. Copp of Moncton; grandsons Brandon and Jessie; step-daughters Elizabeth Kristiansen and Nina Turner; step-sons Blair and Danny Killam; brother Reid Copp of Hillsborough; several step-grandchildren, nieces and nephews and good friend Danny Lawrence. Predeceased by his soulmate Brenda Riley.
There is no visiting by request. A graveside service will take place at Five Points Cemetery in the spring. Arrangements are in the care of Salisbury Funeral Home & Crematorium (372-4800).

Cecil Matchett
1960-2016
Cecil Maxwell Matchett, 55, of Colpitts Settlement passed away Sunday, March 6, 2016.
Born in Miramichi, he was the son of Lyman Matchett and the late Doreen (Gifford) Matchett. He was a stay at home Dad who enjoyed working in the woods and working on cars.
Survived and sadly missed by his wife Angela (Lewis); daughters Stephanie Matchett, and Cecile Matchett, and son Zachary Matchett; eleven brothers and sisters; many brothers and sisters-in-law and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by brother Herbie.
The service will be held at Salisbury Funeral Home, 3350 Salisbury Road (372-4800) on Wednesday, March 9 at 1 pm with Ron Osborne officiating.
In memory of Cecil, donations to the Diabetes Association or the Canadian Mental Health Association would be appreciated by the family.
Lana Steeves
1964-2016
Lana Merle Steeves, 52, of Petitcodiac passed away Sunday December 18, 2016 at the Moncton Hospital.
Born in Amherst N.S., she was a daughter of the late Winston Steeves and Marion (Ward) Steeves. A graduate of Petitcodiac Regional High she was a geriatric attendant at the Jordan Lifecare Center.
Survived and sadly missed by her children Brooke Brown (Jeff) of Salisbury, Chase and Blake Cole of Petitcodiac, her partner Wayne Douthwright of Petitcodiac and her former partner and close friend Lloyd Cole of Petitcodiac. Survived also by her sister Stacey Steeves of Fredericton and brothers Bruce (Kathryn) Steeves of Riverview, Raymond (Shanea) Steeves of Elgin and by nieces, nephews and cousins. Predeceased by her brother Bradley Steeves.
The family will receive relatives and friends at the Salisbury Funeral Home, 3350 Salisbury Road (372-4800) on Wednesday December 21 from 2-4 p.m.
If so desired memorials to the Canadian Cancer Society, Pleasantvale Cemetery or Friends of the Jordan Lifecare would be appreciated by the family.
Teete Scott

Teete Scott, of Mt. Middleton, passed away at Sussex Health Centre on May 20, 2002
Born in Sussex Corner, NB on January 22, 1925, she was the daughter of the late Willard E. and Helen (Sutherland) Norrad.
Teete is survived by her husband Mitchell Scott, her children, Michael Scott of Vancouver, BC, Jayne Johnston and Heather Scott both of Florida, Sandy York (Alvin) of London, Ontario, a very special daughter, Janice Trites of Millstream, her brothers; Douglas, Harold (Helen), and Don "Red" (Ila) of Sussex, and Ralph (Verna) and Dick (Corrine) of Fredericton and her sisters; Zola "Timmy" Price of Fredericton and Judy Huggard (Paul) of Saint John, 7 grand children, Katy, Caleb, Chet, Charlotte, Jason, Robin, Shauna, a great granddaughter, Teryn, several nieces, nephews, cousins.
Teete was predeceased by her brothers Murray and Gordon "Dode".
Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, (506-433-1176), where the family will be receiving relatives and friends on Wednesday 2-4, 7-9.
The Funeral Service will be held from Wallace Memorial Chapel on Thursday, May 23, 2002 at 11:30 am, with Rev. Alan Tapley officiating. A private family interment will take place at Kirk Hill Cemetery.
