Beatrice Mary Farrington

Beatrice Mary Farrington, wife of the late Orrin W. Farrington, died Jan. 18, 2000, at Presque Isle, ME. She was born at Johnville, NB May 17, 1916, the daughter of Edward Leo & Jennie Eldora (Rideout) Shea. She attended St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Battle, NB. She is survived by 1 son, Norman Frederick Akerson of Caribou; 1 daughter, Jennie Wright of Mapleton; 12 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a daughter, Alice Hartsgrove Interment will be in Old Holy Rosary Cemetery.

Victor C. “Vic” Brown

Victor C. “Vic” Brown, died Dec. 12, 1999, in Ocala, FL. He was born in Corn Hill, NB, June 11, 1920, the fifth of 9 children of Curtis & Louella Brown. In 1927 the family immigrated to the United States. He joined the U.S. Army. He served as the postmaster & the RFD mail carrier of New Sharon, ME, & also served as town constable & selectman. His first wife, Ethel Louise Dean of Worcester, Mass. died in 1986 after 46 years of marriage. Survivors include his wife, Louise of Ocala; 9 children: U.S. Army Brigadier General Gerald C. Brown of Falls Church, Va., Sharon E. Danforth of Freeport, Maine, Nancy B. Allen of Farmington, Maine, June K. Haggan of Wilton, Maine, Marlene L. Pillsbury of Skowhegan, Maine, Joyce Brown of San Diego, Ronald E. Brown of Temple, Maine, Arnold A. Brown of Denville, N.J. & Richard Brown of West Farmington, Maine; 8 grandchildren; 8 brothers & sisters, Margaret Ball of Encinitas, Calif., John Brown of Lewiston, Maine, Irene Swanson of Santa Barbara, Calif., Frank Brown of New Sharon, Etta B. Short of Van Nuys, Calif., Iris Neth of Van Nuys, Calif., Elden Brown of Bordentown, N.J. & Ariel “Skip” Brown of Mantua, N.J.

Rolande M. McBrine

Rolande M. McBrine of West Minot, ME, died May 14, 2000 in Lewiston, ME. She was born a twin in the Levesque family on July 23, 1931 in Edmonston, NB. On July 3, 1959, she married Richard McBrine. Survivors include her husband of almost 41 years of West Minot; her son,Timothy “Marty” of Poland; her 3 daughters, Bridget Cailler of Litchfield, Kathy Buckingham of Sabattus, & Linda Landry of Monmouth, 2 sisters, Sister Claire Levesque, OPM of Ottawa,Canada & Corrine Ouellet of Moncton, NB; 3 brothers, her twin Roland Levesque of Madawaska, Leo Levesque of Edmonston, NB, & Paul Levesque of Madawaska.

Armand M. Tardif

Armand M. Tardif died May 14, 2000 in Lewiston, ME. He was born in St. Leonard, NB on Sept. 28, 1922, the son of Patrick & Helen (Lebel) Tardif. Survivors include 4 daughters, Rachel Clevenger of Lewiston, Brenda Chouinard, & Judy Thongsavanh both of Auburn, & Rena Tardif of Lewiston; 3 sons, Edward of Sabattus, Philip of Corpus Christi, Texas, & Daniel of Sabattus; 3 sisters, Germaine Patra, Therese Michaud, both of NB, & Ernestine Theriault of Quebec; 1 brother, Roland of St. Leonard, NB; 12 grandchildren; & 1
great-granddaughter.

Edgar Stephen Warr

Edgar Stephen Warr died July 17, 2000, in Calais, Maine. He was born April 30, 1895, in Calais, the son of Willis & Maude (Tooker) Warr. He was married to Faye V. Sampson of Bayside, NB, in December of 1920. On Aug. 1, 1970, he married Lucy Storr of St. Andrews, NB. He was predeceased by his first wife, Faye (Sampson) Warr & his second wife, Lucy (Irwin) Warr; 1 brother, William Warr; 2 half brothers Percy Marshall & Lee Marshall; a half sister, Hazel Strickland. He is survived by 1 sister-in-law, Mildred Marshall; 1 brother-in-law, Joe Strickland. Burial will be at the Woodland (Baileyville, Maine) Cemetery.

Regis D. Dube

Regis D. Dube of Guerette, ME died July 17, 2000. He was born in St. Anne, NB , March 28, 1917, the son of Regis & Modeste (Fisher) Dube. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Doris (Rossignol) of Guerrette; 3 sons, Maurice & his wife, Diane of Frenchville, Leland of Plainville, Conn. & Regis Jr. of Nashua, N.H.; 1 daughter, Geraldine Dube of Caribou; 7 grandchildren, Brian & Claudia Anderson, Eric Anderson, Anna Anderson, Stina Anderson, Kevin & Jamie Dube, Amy Dube, Hillary Dube; 4 great-grandchildren, Abigail, Jade & Brady Anderson, & Tyler Drake. Burial will be in St. Euthrope Cemetery, Guerrette.

Reva M. Langley

Reva M. Langley, 56, wife of Carl D. Langley, died July 24, 2000, in Mars Hill, ME. She was born Oct. 7, 1943, at Four Falls, NB, the daughter of Charles & Phyllis Rose MacDonald) Everett. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brother, Maynard Everett; & 2 grandsons, James Patrick Sprague & Carl Robert Langley. She is survived by her husband of 39 years; 1 son & daughter-in-law, Lee & Linda Langley of Fort Fairfield; 3 daughters & a son-in-law, Rebecca Langley of Fort Fairfield, Ellen Langley of Fort Fairfield & her special friend, Paul LeBlanc, Linda & Paul Sprague of Limestone; four brothers & sisters-in-law, Merrill & Margaret Everett of Perth-Andover, NB, Victor & Ruth Everett of Aroostook, NB, Elwood & Laurie Everett, Dwight & Nancy Everett, all of Fredericton, NB; 4 sisters & brothers-in-law, Evelyn Boone, Ida Mae and Donald Boone, & Faye Everett, all of Perth-Andover, NB, Avis & Bernham Morrell of Four Falls, NB; 4 grandchildren, Danielle & Leigha Langley of Fort Fairfield, Jason & Alex Sprague of Limestone. Interment will be in Union Cemetery, Fort Fairfield.

John C. MacLeod

John C. MacLeod, 75, died July 25, 2000 in Brewer, Maine. He was born in St. Stephen, NB, Nov. 30, 1924, the son of Thomas & Mabel (Bonness) MacLeod. Surviving are his wife, Teresa "Terry" MacLeod of Brewer; 1 son, Daniel & his wife, Sharon MacLeod of Center Ossipee, N.H.; 3 granddaughters, Allison, Lauren & Lindsey MacLeod, & their mother, Kathy, all of Dover, N.H.; 1 sister, Ethel MacLeod of Orono. He was predeceased by a brother, Charles Ellis MacLeod. Interment in Rural Cemetery, St. Stephen, NB.
