Patricia Agnes Taylor

The death of Patricia Agnes Taylor, wife of Walter Taylor of 1371 King George Highway, Miramichi, occurred at the Miramichi Regional Hospital on Wednesday, April 4, 2001 at the age of 82.
Born in Ireland she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Sarah (Murray) Flaharty.
She is survived by her husband, Walter, two sons: Walter Taylor of Saint John, N.B.; Patrick Taylor (Mary) of Belledune, N.B.; two daughters: Rose Marie Taylor of Bedford, NS; Patricia Taylor-Roach (Ken) of Cincinnati, Ohio; two sisters: Katherine and Josephine both of London, England, seven grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
The family received visitors at Bell’s Funeral Home on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 P.M.
Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated from St. Samuel’s Roman Catholic Church on Saturday at 11AM with Father Joseph Arsenault officiating.
Active pallbearers were: Joe McGrath, Eddie Taylor, Francis Taylor, Bill Scott, Norman McLenaghan, and Ken Druet.
Readers were: Helen McGrath and grandson Bernard Taylor. Organist and Soloist was: Jackie Allain.
Interment will follow in the church cemetery on a later date.
For those who wish, memorial tributes may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
Funeral arrangements were under the care of Bell’s SELECT Community Funeral Home, 651 King George Highway, Miramichi, N.B..

Beverly James Parker

Beverly James Parker of 4751 Route 108, Derby, N.B., passed away at the Miramichi Regional Hospital on Saturday, April 14, 2001 at the age of 58.
Born in Newcastle, he was the son of Leona (MacKinley) Parker and the Late Earle Parker.
He was a Woodsman.
Survived by two sons; Chris of Calgary, Alberta, and Curtis of Brandon, Manitoba; two daughters: Beverly Anne of Calgary, and Carol of Miramichi: three brothers; Cyril (Lois) Paul (Moira), all of Miramichi, and David of Derby; two sisters; Linda (Mrs. Reggie Theriault) of Kitchener, Ont., and Nancy (Mrs. Robert Houlston) of Miramichi; three grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by sister; June Whitney, and brother, Billy.
Family received visitors at Bell’s Funeral Home, 651 King George Highway, Miramichi, on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9.
Funeral Service was held from the H. Sterling Bell Memorial Chapel on Tuesday, April 17, 2001 at 2 P.M. with Rev. Cecil Symes officiating and assisted by Rev. Weaver Amos.
Organist and Soloist was Jacqueline Allain: Hymns: "Old Rugged Cross", "Here I Am, Lord" and "I Come".
Honorary pallbearers: Sterling Nowlan, Reggie Theriault, John Whitney, Ralph Gilks, Jack MacKinley, Wendal Harrigan, Allan Connick and Jack Kelly.
Active Pallbearers: Kirk Parker, Kyle and Robert Houlston, Herbie Bryenton, Bobby Cortes and Brian Grey.
Burial will take place in the Deby United United Cemetery later in the Spring.
Funeral arrangements were under the care of Bell’s Funeral Select Community Homes, 651 King George Highway, Miramichi, N.B.

Daniel Burton Curtis

The death of Daniel Burton Curtis, husband of the late Thelma (MacDonald) Curtis of Miramichi Senior Citizen’s Home and formerly of 60 Harper Road, Miramichi, N.B., occurred at his residence on Wednesday, April 4, 2001 at the age of 87.
Born in Sevogle, he was the son of the late John and Louise (Boudreau) Curtis.
Daniel was a retired welder from Heath Steele Mines, member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #10 and he was also the last surviving member of his immediate family.
He is survived by two daughters: Evelyn Trevors of Miramichi; Linda Sobey (Newton) of Truro, NS; six grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
He is predeceased by five brothers: William, Jim, Lawrence, Joseph, and Henry; one sister: Evelyn and one son-in-law: Owen Trevors.
The family will receive visitors at Bell’s Funeral Home on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 P.M.
The funeral service will be held from St. James Presbyterian Church on Friday at 2 P.M. with Rev. Murdo MacKay officiating.
Burial will take place at the Miramichi Cemetery on a later date.
For those who wish, memorial tributes may be made to the Extra Mural Hospital, Veteran’s Wing of The Miramichi Senior Citizens Home, St. James Presbyterian Church or to a charity of the donor’s choice.

Ralph Estey

The death of Ralph Estey, husband of Carmel (Briggs) Estey of Jordon Memorial Home, River Glade, N.B., occurred at his residence on Tuesday, March 27, 2001 at the age of 73.
Born in Red Bank, N.B., he was the son of the late Osborne and Eva DeRedin Estey.
He lived in Toronto, ON, for many years, where he worked for the North York Municipality as a Sanitation Engineer.
He is survived by his wife, Carmel of Calgary, AB; one son: Steven Estey (Dawn Marie) of Prince George, BC; three daughters: Sherry Greenfield (Mike) of Calgary, Nancy Haley of Calgary, and Valerie Jensen (Don)of Turks, Cacoes Islands; two sisters: Joan Simmons (Don) of Saint John, N.B., and Agnes Todoschuk (Bill) of River Glade; one brother: Ben Estey (Verlie) of Thunder Bay, ON; seven grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by two brothers: Louis and Fred Estey.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from St. Thomas the Apostle Roman Catholic Church on Friday, March 30, 2001 at 2:00 P.M. with Father Cobbina officiating.
Interment will follow at the church cemetery on a later date.
For those who wish, memorial tributes may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or to a memorial of one’s choice.

Raymond Joseph Daigle

The death of Raymond Joseph Daigle (Bar Six) of 2342 King George Highway, Miramichi, N.B., occurred at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Friday, April 20, 2001 at the age of 64.
Born in Majorville, N.B., he was the son of the late Alban Richard and Marie and Daigle
He is survived by his wife: Aline (Savoie) Daigle: three sons; Ronald Edward (Carol) and Claude (Tricia), all of Miramichi: one daughter, Edith Raymond of Saint John; two brothers: Rheal (Sharon) Richard and Peter (Christine) Richard, all of St. Stephen, N.B., and nine sisters: Rose Eva Dickerson, Mary (Leslie) Noddin, Yvonne (Harold) Stewart, Yolande (Sonny) Robar, Juliette (John) Richard, Doreen (Allan) Fraser and Gloria (Bill) Ford, all of St. Stephen, Tammy (Ivan) Arsenault of Ontario, and Sylvia (Clifford) Pitre of Miramichi; five grandchildren: Christine, Sonia, Real, Santana and Ethan; one great-grandchild; Jocelyn and several aunts, uncles nieces and nephews.
The family received visitors at Bell’s Funeral Home on Saturday from 7-9 P.M. and Sunday 2-4 and 7-9.
Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated from St. Samuel’s R.C. Church, Douglastown, on Monday April 23, 2001 at 11 A.M. with Father Joseph Arsenault officiating.
Organist: Jacqueline Allian. Readers: Diana Barrieau and Diane LeBlanc.
Active Pallbearers: Alvida, Donald, and Alyre Savoie, Robert Daile, Sherman Brennan and Gerald Austin.
Honorary Pallbearers: Eric and Weldon Anderson, Raymond Drisdelle, Joe Austin, Ryan Matchett and Steve Newman. Funeral arrangements were under the care of Bell’s SELECT Community Funeral Home, 651 King George Highway, Miramichi, N.B..

Stella Jean Hubbard

The death of Lloyd Byron Hubbard of 4863 Route 108, Millerton, N.B., occurred at the Miramichi Regional Hospital on Tuesday, April 17, 2001 at the age of 54.
Born in Newcastle, he was the son of Gertrude (Parker) Hubbard of Millerton, and the late Weldon Hubbard. He is survived by his mother Gertrude, several aunts, uncles and cousins.
The family received visitors at Bell’s Funeral Home on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 P.M.
The Funeral Service was held on Friday, April 20, 2001 at 2 P.M. from the Derby United Church with Rev. Olive Ann Archibald officiating.
Organist: Phyllis Mossman was accompanied by the Congregation and Choir for the singing of the following hymns: “Now I’m Coming Home”, "The Lord’s My Shepherd”, and “Amazing Grace.”
Active Pallbearers were: Paul Hubbard, Wayne and Ronald Parker, Jack MacKinley, Leonard Bryenton and Jack McKibbon.
Interment will be at the Derby United Church on a later date.
For those who wish, memorial tributes may be made to the Derby United Church, or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
