ST. CHARLES, NB - Eva Daigle 61, of St. Charles passed away at the Stella Maris Hospital, Ste. Anne de Kent on Thursday, April 2nd, 2009. Born in St. Ignace she was the daughter of the late Emile and Marguerite (Daigle) Richard. Eva will be sadly missed by her husband; Emile Daigle, two sons; Jean Claude (Carla) of London, Ontario, Donald (Kathy) of Kitchener, Ontario; three grand children; Dawson, Charlotte and Nathalie, her sisters and brother; Georgette Gallant (late Lorie) of Oshawa, Ontario, Ivan Richard of Toronto, Rosa Vautour (Josephat) of Richibucto, Madeline Perry (David) of Saint John, Geneva Cormier (Raymond) of St. Ignace and Theresa Richard (Joseph) of St. Louis. Predeceased by infant daughter; Jacqueline Daigle and one brother; Tilmon. Resting at Thompson's Funeral Home, Richibucto with visitation on Saturday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9, Sunday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9, Monday at 2:00 pm until departure for funeral. Jeannine Boudreau
Memramcook - Jeannine Boudreau of Beaumont passed away on Friday April 3rd, 2009 at the Dr. Georges L. Dumont Hospital at the age of 70. Born on September 23rd, 1938 in Beaumont, she was the daughter of the late Frankie Gaudet and the late Bella Belliveau. She worked as a supervisor in housekeeping for Crown Plaza (formerly Keddy's Brunswick Hotel) until her retirement. She was a member and vice-president of the Golden Age Club of Pre-D'en-Haut and volunteered many hours to her church and community. She is survived by her three daughters, Gloria (Ronald) LeBlanc of Pre-D'en-Haut, Germaine (Shawn) Boudreau of Belliveau Village and Caroline (Gilles) LeBlanc of Beaumont; four sisters, Bernice (Paul) Cormier of Fox Creek, Annette (Dollard) LeBlanc of Belliveau Village, Claudette (Rheal) LeBlanc of Beaumont and Aline (Allain) LeBlanc of Cormier's Cove; five brothers, Leopold (Odette) Gaudet and Leonce (Aline) Gaudet both of Belliveau Village, Jean Gaudet of St-Joseph, Georges (Carmella) Gaudet and Marcel (Suzanne) Gaudet both of Beaumont; three grandchildren: Rémi, Joline and Stéphane and by several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Robert (Bobby) Boudreau, one brother Roger and by one granddaughter Monica. Visitations will be held at Dupuis Funeral Home, Memramcook on Sunday, April 5th from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm and Monday, April 6th from 2 to 4 and 6 to 6:30 pm. Funeral Mass will be held at Notre Dame de l'Annonciation Roman Catholic Church, Pre-D'en-Haut on Monday, April 6th at 7:00 pm. Interment will be held in the parish cemetery. FOLKINS, FRANK C.
The death of Frank Clayton Folkins of Pleasant Ridge occurred unexpectedly on June 23, 2009 at the age of 63. Born in Millstream, Frank was a son of the late Frank and Jean (Ganong) Folkins. He is survived by his wife Beverly (Briggs) Folkins; daughters, Heather McGrath (Michael) and Lisa Folkins, all of Pleasant Ridge; son Wayne Folkins (Carla Doyle) of Millstream; sister Jean Steen; brother Gerald Folkins (Marilyn), aunt Dorothy Belding all of Saint John, several nieces and nephews and his dog Teddy. Frank was predeceased by an infant daughter Janice and sister Georgie Dunfield. Frank was a member of Local 502 IBEW for more than 30 years. He was Deputy Fire Chief for the Millstream Volunteer Fire Department for 25 years, retiring in 2003. Frank was a beef farmer for 30 years and looked after the Berwick Cemetery and the Folkins/Fenwick Cemetery with great pride and dedication. The family will receive visitors at the Sussex Select Community Funeral Home, 21 Aiton Road Sussex (506-433-2133) on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9PM. The funeral service will be held on Saturday June 27, 2009 at St. Paul's United Church at 1:00PM. Interment will be at Berwick Cemetery. The death of Cathy Downey of Quispamsis, NB, wife of Don Downey, occurred Thursday, June 25th, 2009, at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Saint John, NB, she was the daughter of Anne (Wyatt) Dunlop and the late Bob Dunlop. Besides her husband and mother, Cathy is also survived by two daughters, Jennifer Downey (David Ingleson) of Estevan, SK and Tanya Rogers (Phil) of Medicine Hat, AB; one son, Derek Downey of Quispamsis; four sisters, Mary Wright (Tom), Sherry Middleton, Sue Martin (Kim), all of Saint John and Linda Reid (Kevin) of Grand Bay-Westfield; one brother, Bill Dunlop (Karen) of Quispamsis; four grandchildren, Ryan and Ashlyn Ingleson, Zachary and Dylan Rogers; numerous nieces and nephews. COREY, NOVA KEITH
Nova Keith Corey lost his battle with cancer June 23, 2009 at the Moncton Hospital with his family by his side. Born in Cherryvale, NB, March 25, 1943, he was a son of the late Russell G. and Eva (Keith) Corey. Nova grew up in Havelock. He was employed with Eaton's, joined the RCMP and worked in sales at a number of Insurance Companies. He drove for Cement Cartage and was owner/operator of Nova's Pulp & Logging. In his retirement he operated a band saw mill. He was a member of the former Havelock Masonic Lodge, Havelock Legion #86 and the Havelock Flying Club. Nova enjoyed hunting and being at the camp in Cherryvale. He is survived by his life partner Lynn Pickett; best friend Mika; son Dean; daughter Mindi Cowan (Trevor) and their mother Penny Fawcett all of Moncton; grandchildren Ashleah, Tristan and Colby Cowan; Lynn's sons Roger and Matthew. Also survived by sister Donna Hamm (late Brian), nephews Trevor and Troy; brother Larry; nieces Jill and Carrie and their mother Judy; sister Gail Kincade (Stan); niece Shalene and nephew Devon; and brother Luke (Patsy). A celebration of Nova's life will be held Saturday, June 27 at 2 pm at the Salisbury Funeral Home Chapel, 3350 Rte 106 (372-4800), with Rev. Nick Graham officiating. Dorothy Mildred Corey, 78, of Salisbury and formerly of Havelock passed away peacefully with her children at her side Tuesday, June 23, 2009 at the Moncton Hospital. Born in Salem, she was a daughter of the late Emery and Janice (Corey) Kierstead. She was a member of the Salisbury Baptist Church. She enjoyed gardening, tole painting and spending time with her family. She will be sadly missed by her children Laurel Corey of Moncton, Michael (Kathy) of Petitcodiac, Lenora Kelly (Dan) of Salisbury; her cherished grandchildren Matthew (Jennifer Butler) of Lower Sackville, Kaitlin Corey (Justin Stephens) of Bridgewater, NS, Amanda O'Blenis (Danny) of River Glade, Megan Kelly (Jacob Kilpatrick) of Salisbury; two great grandchildren Jack & Mya O'Blenis; sister Vera Allen (Ronald) of Saint John; brothers and sisters in law and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her husband Earl S. (2004); brother Pearley Kierstead. AYLES, MARJORIE CHRISTINA
The death of Marjorie Christina Ayles, wife of the late Arnold Ayles occurred on Thursday June 25, 2009 at The Saint John Regional Hospital surrounded by her loving family. Born 1922 in Bagdad, NB she was the daughter of the late George and Margaret (Moore) Damgard. In her earlier years she was a teacher and later worked for Revenue Canada before she and Arnold started their family. She enjoyed family gatherings and was an avid bingo player. Marjorie was a member of the ladies auxiliary R.C.L. Branch #64. She is survived by her children Linda Thomas (Allen) of Charlottetown, PEI; Bill Ayles (Kim) of Quispamsis, Bonny Holden (Fred) of Chipman and Paul Ayles of Charlottetown, PEI; grandchildren, Janet O'Toole (Frank), Geoff Thomas (Monica), Brian Thomas (Anna), David Thomas, Heather Ayles and Jonathan Ayles; several nieces, nephews and many friends. Marjorie was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Besides her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her sisters Georgina, Nanny and Hazel and brother Eric. Resting at Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Rd. (646-2424) with visitations on Saturday June 27, 2009 from 2-4, 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will be held at Fundy Funeral Home Chapel on Sunday June 28, 2009 at 1 p.m. Private family interment will be held at Ocean View Memorial Gardens at a later date. It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Jacqueline Yeomans Desjardins) on December 6, 2008 at the Carelife-Fleetwood Residential Care facility, Surrey, BC after a lengthy illness. Jacqueline was born in Grand Falls, NB in 1949. She was the daughter of Louis and Sylvaine (Poitras) Desjardins. She is predeceased by her parents; her brothers Maurice, Paul and Jacques. Jacqueline is survived by her sons Christopher (Areli) of Victoria, BC, Scott and Brad(Devynn) of Surrey, BC; her sister Nicole (Hermel) Gagnon of Quispamsis, NB, as well as several nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles. A private family ceremony will be held in Surrey on Tuesday, December 9, 2008 and a memorial service will follow at a later date. For those who wish, memorial tributes may be made to The Muscular Dystrophy Association of Canada in Jacqueline's name.

The passing of Robert Brayall of Plaster Rock occurred on December 5, 2008 at the St. John Regional Hospital at the age of 41. Born in Plaster Rock he was the son of Doris (Neilson) Brayall and the late Ernest Brayall. Besides his mother, Robert is survived by two sisters, Mary (Dale) Young and Margaret Ferris (Wayne Green) all of Plaster Rock; one brother, Richard Brayall of Plaster Rock; four nieces, Samantha, Megan, Kathleen and Kelsey; one great nephew, Alexander. Predeceased by his father. Funeral service was held on Saturday, December 6th at 3 pm from White's Chapel with Father Curtis Sappier officiating.
