JONES, CODY PRESTON
June 24, 1994 - April 2, 2009
The death of Cody Jones occurred suddenly on April 2nd, 2009 at his residence. He was the son of Preston and Terri-Lynn Jones of Fredericton Junction, NB. Cody is survived by his parents; his twin sister, Candace Jones; his siblings, Kevin Currie, Conan Jones, Mikhail Jones and Jonathan Currie; his maternal grandmother and step-grandfather, Paulette and Armel Doiron of Upper Gagetown, NB; maternal grandfather and step-grandmother, Myles and Villa Currie of Saint John, NB; paternal grandparents, Stephen and Maureen Jones of Ste. Anne, MB; one maternal great-grandfather, Lyle Currie; paternal great-grandparents, Theresa and Jack Hamilton; uncles and aunts, Richard Currie of ON, Steven Currie of Lincoln, NB, Kyle Jones of, MB, Jason Jones of MB, Priscilla Jones of MB, Melina Jones of Baltimore, Melissa Jones of MB, Christina Jones of MB and Jennifer Grimard of MB as well several great-uncles, aunts and cousins. Cody was predeceased by one brother, Randy Duguay. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 7th, 2009 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm at the Oromocto Select Community Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held from the funeral home chapel on Wednesday, April 8th, 2009 at 1:00 pm with Fr. Ken Weir officiating. Interment will take place at the St. Vincent de Paul Cemetery at a later date. Donations in memory of Cody may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
HAY,GARY FRANK
At his residence, April 2, 2009, Gary Frank Hay of Fredericton, NB. Son of Maxine G. (Moore) Hay and the late Robert F. Hay of St. Stephen, NB. Survived by one daughter; Katherine E. (Katie) Hay of Dartmouth, NS., his mother; Maxine, several cousins. Visitation will be held at The S.O. Mehan and Son Funeral Home Ltd., 23 Main Street, St. Stephen, NB on Sunday April 5, 2009 from 2 to 4 PM. Funeral Service will be held on Monday, April 6, 2009 at 2 PM at Grace Memorial United Baptist Church, 536 Northumberland Street, Fredericton, NB. Family will receive relatives and friends at the Grace Memorial United Baptist Church, Fredericton on Monday from 12 to 2 PM. Interment will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, remembrances to the Epilepsy Society or charity of ones choice would be appreciated by the family.
ERSKINE, ELIZABETH JANE QUARTERMAIN
(March 6th, 1930 to March 30th, 2009)
Elizabeth (Bessie) passed away on Monday, March 30th, 2009 at the Oromocto General Hospital. She is survived by her second husband Paul Erskine, her children Robert Quartermain, Debra Quartermain, granddaughters Amanda and Kathleen Bentley, sister-in-law Ann and several nieces and nephews. Her first husband, Allan Quartermain passed away in 1979. Elizabeth began her teaching career in St. Stephen at age seventeen. After moving with family to Saint John she taught for several years in Loch Lomond and then ran her own kindergarten program. Always generous and kind she cared for her students and was involved in the church and Meals on Wheels. She returned to St. Stephen following the death of her first husband Allan, remarried and remained until her final year where health issues brought her to Fredericton to live at Ste. Anne's Court near her daughter. She enjoyed a good year there in her beautiful apartment with her family close by, her son, husband visiting often and two special friends Linda and Kate who cared for her lovingly. Bessie spent a week each summer in St. Andrews by the ocean she always loved with Bob, Deb, Amanda and Kate. It was here after a lovely afternoon spent by the water with Amanda and Kate, Bessie wrote the words she wanted read when she was gone. Her last few days were peaceful surrounded by her immediate family and dear friend Linda, her favourite music playing softly in the background and a lovely pink scarf draped across her arms. In her own words "A Message of Thanks, this is a really a thank you to all the people who helped me along my life journey. To the people who really knew me and have loved me all of my life, who will hold me, close in their hearts. These are the people who also hold a place in my heart. ...I am glad I had this time on earth. I was truly blessed to have met and married two wonderful men, Allan and Paul...My children Deb and Bob know the place they hold in my heart, how much they are loved, the pride I have in their accomplishments. The joy of having Amanda and Kate. I was happy to have my stepdaughter Sue and my grandsons Spencer and Alex in my life....There are so many people in our lives, family, friends, bridge club, church, people we work with and people who are there for us when times are tough. These are the people who hold special places in your heart." A private service was held in St. Stephen at The S. O. Mehan and Son Funeral Home on Wednesday, April 1st, 2009 with a reception following at niece Pat Smith's home where Bessie was lovingly remembered by family and close friends. A memorial service will be held later this year. Those wishing to honour Bessie with a remembrance please make a donation to a charity which is close to your heart. We are sincerely grateful for all of the loving messages and tributes from friends and family. Our mother touched many lives and her gentle loving spirit we will carry always in our hearts. STEEVES, RALPH
Ralph Fenwick Steeves, 97, of Steeves Settlement passed away Thursday, June 25, 2009 at Lakeview Manor, Riverview. Born in Steeves Settlement, Ralph was a son of the late Nathaniel and Ina (Bannister) Steeves. He was a farmer by occupation and Ralph was a member of the Steeves Settlement Baptist Church. Although disabled at a young age he never let that get in the way of his enjoyment of life. He is survived by son Nathaniel (Ruth) and grandson B.J. of Steeves Settlement; special son Ronny Collier of Parkindale; brother Adam of Steeves Settlement; sisters Arleen Brown of Petitcodiac and Erma Thorburn of Toronto and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by wife Florence (Babcock); special friend Doris Monteith; brothers Seymour, Reginald, Dawson, Murl and George; sisters Byrd Lirette, Violet Wilson and Hazel Eastwick. Resting at the Salisbury Funeral Home, 3350 Salisbury Road (372-4800), with visiting Sunday June 28 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The funeral will be held at Steeves Settlement Baptist Church, Monday June 29 at 2 pm with Rev. Stewart Steeves and Rev. Gilbert Wilson officiating. Interment will follow at Steeves Settlement cemetery. Donations to Steeves Settlement Baptist Church, SPCA or a charity of choice would be appreciated by the family.

Florence Elizabeth MacDonald, 90, of Kenneth E. Spencer Memorial Home and formerly of Salisbury passed away Friday, June 26, 2009 at the Moncton Hospital following a brief illness. GALLANT, ANTOINETTE
(1935 - 2009)
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Antoinette Gallant at the Georges-L-Dumont hospital, on June 26th after a lengthy illness. Born in Lagacéville, she was the daughter of the late James Richard and the late Edmée Richard (née Savoie). Antroinette tried her hand at teaching for two years at the local school. She then moved to Richibucto, where, with her dignified demeanor and her charming personality, she quickly won the hearts of those she met. She soon became an active member of her new community, joining the Catholic Women's League (C.W.L.) in 1974 as the club's organizer, a position that she held for 30 years. At the request of a local parishioner, Antoinette also joined the Golden Age Club where she acted as secretary. She was equally involved with her church. There, she often offered her help in administration, read scriptures during mass, and distributed communion. When she had time to spare, Antoinette's fingers worked nimbly at knitting or needle point. Her family and friends were constantly showered with her beautiful creations. A perfectionist in her crafts, Antoinette was proud that some of her work won prizes at the Sainte-Marie Agricultural fair. Antoinette will be sadly missed by Livain, as well as their six children: Blair (Marguerite) Orléans, Ontario, Paulette (John) Givran, Rexton, Michel "Mike" (Nicole) Aldouane, Marc (Keitha) Rexton, Carolle (Louis) Arsenault, Mundleville and Rhéa Gallant, Shédiac and a son-in-law: Reggie LeBlanc, Dieppe. Antoinette also leaves 12 grand-children to morn her: Gabrielle, Errol, Bryce, Sophie, Mélanie, Jonah, Maria, Alexandre, Érik, Jacob, Angela and Guy along with four great-grand-children: Samuel, Jessica, Euan and Lucas. She also leaves to morn four brothers: Laurie of Néguac, Ronald (Verna) Vancouver, Aubé (Jacqueline) and Arnel (Réjeanne) both of Lagacéville and her sister, Winnifred Breau of Néguac as well as brothers-in-law: David Baldwin, Oshawa and Gerard Breau, Néguac. Antoinette was predeceased by her sister: Maria (1942) and two brothers, Emery and Ulysse. Resting at Thompson's Funeral Home, Richibucto, with visitation on Sunday from7:00 to 9:00pm, Monday 2:00 to 4:00pm and 7:00 to 9:00pm, a funeral mass will be held on Tuesday June 30th at 1:30 pm at the St-Louis-de-Gonzague Roman Catholic Church, Richibucto. Donations to the Fondation Hôpital Georges-L.-Dumont, Unité de dialyse would be appreciated by the family. Arrangements in care of Thompson`s Funeral Home (Richibucto).
FOREMAN, PEARLE
The passing of Pearle Foreman of Moncton, NB, formerly of Stanley, NB, wife of the late Lloyd Foreman, occurred on June 25, 2009 at the home of her daughter and son-in-law in Moncton with whom she had resided for the past ten years. Born on July 12, 1918 in Taymouth, NB, she was the daughter of the late Fred and Cora (Dennison) Young. She was a member of the St. Thomas Anglican Church and the ACW. Pearle was a retired school teacher having taught for 34 years in the Stanley and Cross Creek areas. Pearle is survived by her daughter, Judy LeBlanc (Ralph) of Moncton, NB; sons, Dale Foreman (Diane) of Steinback, MB and David Foreman (Nancy) of Edmonton, AB; eleven grandchildren; nineteen great grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Jean Young, Eliona Young, and Elsie Mosher; several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Pearle was predeceased by her sisters, Pauline Carson and Eliza McFadgen; brothers, Byron, Norman and Gerald Young. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive on Sunday, June 28, 2009 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A Funeral Service and celebration of Pearle's life will take place at York Funeral Home's T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel on Monday, June 29, 2009 at 11 am with Rev. Brent Ham officiating. Interment will take place in St. Paul's Anglican Church Cemetery, Cross Creek, NB. DUFFY, CAROL J.
1931 - 2009
Carol June Duffy, RN of Lakeview Manor and formerly of Old Coach Road, Riverview. It is with great sadness that Carol's family announce her passing, June 23rd, 2009, at the age of 78. Carol was born at Newcastle Creek, January 26th, 1931 and was the seventh child of Russell and May (Milton) Fullerton. She was a graduate of Minto High School and the Charlotte County School of Nursing, 1952. After graduation she joined the RCAF as a nurse and was stationed at Trenton, Ontario. Nursing was not only her career but her passion, having worked in the profession over 43 years. During this time she touched many people and was frequently remembered by families and patients for her kindness and compassion. During her nursing career she practised at the Moncton Hospital, Albert County Hospital, Saint John General and finally as Director of Nursing at Lakeview Manor, Riverview. Carol was a member of Trinity United Church, Riverview. Her passions in life were spending time with her family, travelling and golfing. She was the beloved wife of John Maclaren Duffy, and will be sadly missed by her daughters Leslie (Donald) McLean, Kathy (Robert) McCabe and Kim (Graham) Cope and her grandchildren Andrew, Keith and Leanne McLean and Tara, Jennifer and Stephanie McCabe. As well she is survived by sisters Greta Fullerton, Freda Murphy, Audrey Merrill, Patricia (Allison) Brown and brothers Gerard (Linda) Fullerton and Terry (Betty) Fullerton. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her first husband, Keith Gordon Brown, brother, Gerald Fullerton and sisters' Jean Glenn and Mildred Lundbohm. As requested by Carol, there will be no visitation. A funeral service will be held at 11 am at Trinity United Church, Old Coach Road, Riverview on Tuesday, June 30, 2009 with Reverend Charlotte Youland presiding with a reception to follow at Trinity United Church hall. A private family interment will follow at Fairhaven Memorial Gardens following the service. Memorial donations in Carol's memory may be made to Lakeview Manor Salvation Army Nursing Home or Alzheimer's Society.
