He is survived by his wife Barbara (Giberson) of Wakefield, son Brent (Patty) Underhill of Grafton, grandsons, James and Michael Underhill of Grafton, sisters; Elva Schriver of Woodstock, Eunice (Hector) McKinnon of Moncton, Ruth (Keith) Manterfield of Wakefield, Elizabeth (Aubrey) Giberson of Ashland, brothers; Clair (Mary) Underhill of Wakefield, Roy (Carla) Underhill of Prince Albert, SK, Dale (Janice) Underhill of Fosterville, Mark (Lorna) Underhill of North Wilshire, PEI, Larry (Judy) Underhill of Jacksonville, nieces and nephews.
Resting at the Britton Funeral Home, High Street, Hartland with visiting hours on Monday the 19th and Tuesday the 20th from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday the 21st at 2:00 p.m. from the Wesleyan Church in Somerville. Kirkpatrick, Ella Madeline (Kirkpatrick). It is with great sadness the family of Ella Madeline Kirkpatrick of Hoyt, NB announces her passing at the Oromocto Public Hospital on Friday January 16, 2009 at the age of 87. Born in Sandbrook, Queens County, NB on March 25,1921. She was the daughter of the late Estey and Elizabeth (Whittaker) Kirkpatrick.
Ella is survived by one daughter Juanita (Gerald) Whittaker of Hoyt, NB, three step-daughters Audrey (Dr. Earl) Covert, Raymond, AB, Elaine (Lonnie) Wooden, Calgary, AB, Gail (Robert) Armitage, Port Moody, BC. One son Silas (Yvonne) Kirkpatrick, Hoyt, NB. one step-son Everett (Bonnie) Kirkpatrick, Surrey, BC. Two sisters Viola Darrah, Chipman, NB, Lillian Perkins, one brother Ross (Lois) Kirkpatrick, Hoyt, NB. brothers-in law Lloyd Reid, Halifax, NS and Glen Edgar, Plaster Rock, NB. Aunt Grace Nason, Hoyt, NB. One granddaughter Jennifer (Jean-Guy) Babineau, two great-grand-children Noah and Ben Babineau of Moncton, several step-grand-children and several nieces & nephews. Ella was employed at the White Rapids Manor in housekeeping before her retirement. She was an active member of Calvary Pentecostal Lighthouse Church, a member Patterson Historical Society and Wirral Hospital Aid. Ella was known for her hospitality and love of flowers. She traveled extensively and lived and worked in Hayriver, NWT for a period of time.
She is predeceased by her first husband, Percy Kirkpatrick and second husband Cedric Kirkpatrick, three sisters Erma Kirkpatrick, Ruth Reid and Opal Edger.
Relatives and friends are invited to Calvary Pentecostal Lighthouse Church for visitations on Monday January 19, 2-4pm and 7-9pm. Funeral service will be from Calvary Pentecostal Lighthouse Church on January 20 at 2pm with the Rev. Albert Galbraith officiating. Interment to follow at a later date in the Patterson United Church Cemetery. You may express your sympathy by making a donation to charity of the donors choice.
