LITTLE, HILDA
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our mother, Hilda Little at Kingsway Care Center, Quispamsis on June 23, 2009 at the age of 86. Hilda was born in 1923, only child of the late Jarvis and Myrtle Harris of McAdam, NB and beloved wife of the late Raymond "Bud" Little. Hilda was an active member of the Rockland Drive United Baptist Church in McAdam, NB having taught Sunday School, member of the Ladies Guild and Women's Missionary Society. Hilda especially enjoyed her summers at the family cottage at Magaguadavic Lake. In her earlier years she was an active bowler having attained the high single. Hilda is survived by her four children; Susan of Quispamsis, NB, Patsy (Bruce) McMullin of Calgary, AB, Kathy (Ken) Stannix of Dartmouth, NS and Tony (Wendy) of Saint John, NB; three grandchildren, Lesley (Scott) Miners, Meaghan Stannix and Jeff Little; three great grandchildren, Ryan Sunderland, Faith Sunderland and Brayden Miners. Hilda was predeceased by her husband Raymond" Bud" Little in 1994 and grandson Christopher Stannix in 2007. Resting at the Rockland Drive United Baptist Church, McAdam, NB from where the funeral service will be held on Friday, June 26, 2009 at 2PM with Rev Scott Kohler officiating. Visiting hours will be held at the church on Thursday, June 25, 2009 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Interment in Rockland Cemetery, McAdam, NB. For those who wish remembrances to the Rockland Drive United Baptist Church, Heart and Stroke or charity of ones choice would be appreciated by the family. Robert Brooks
Robert Brooks of Gladwyn passed away unexpectedly in Degelis, Quebec on March 27th, 2009. Born in Perth-Andover on January 15th, 1942, he was the son of the late Hanley and Beatrice (Anderson) Brooks. Robert leaves behind his wife Terri Brooks (Edgecombe); his children Thomas Brooks (fiancé Dee) of Bensalem, PA, Sheri Brooks of Moncton, Toby Brooks of Centerville; his stepdaughter Annamarie Hutchinson (Ian) of Halifax, NS; brother Everett Brooks (Gael) of Lindsay, ON; grandchildren Tanner Nicholson, Danny Craig, Robert Craig, and Allison Craig. He was predeceased by his parents and his brother Jack Brooks. Robert was a member of the Perth-Andover Masonic Lodge, Benjamin Lodge # 39, and was a Shriner. He was also a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Electra Chapter # 9. He was an elder in the Gladwyn United Church. Robert was a self-employed truck driver for the past 25 years. Funeral service was held on Wednesday, April 1st, 2009 at 2 pm from St. James United Church in Perth-Andover. Rev. Helene Burns officiated, assisted by Rev. Maynard Rector. Interment will be in St. Paul's United Church Cemetery, Gladwyn at a later date. The organist for the service was Dawn Bishop. Congregational hymns were "The Old Rugged Cross", In The Garden", and "Shall We Gather at the River". Everett Brooks sang "The Lord Is My Shepherd". The eulogy was given by his wife Terri Brooks. Honorary pallbearers were Corey Anderson, Hugh Beveridge, Dale Bowmaster, Cecil Campbell, Wally Ciesielski, Dale Finnamore, Bill McMillan, Troy McMillan, Dwayne O'Neill and Edward Sullivan. Mildred Paradis
At the Grand Falls Manor, March 31, 2009, Mrs. Mildred (Ryan) Paradis of Grand Falls passed away at the age of 87 years. She was the wife of the late Edward "Duke" Paradis. Born at Grand Falls in 1921, she was a daughter of the late Ambrose and Ida (Carroll) Ryan. Prior to her retirement, Mrs. Paradis worked several years at the Grand Falls General Hospital. She is survived by five daughters, Theresa Tillotson (late Paul) and Donna Slevin (late Paul) of Aberdeen, Maryland, Carol McIver (Bill Shortt) of Kingston, Ontario, Janet Rodakowski (Allen) of Wentzville, Missouri and Susan Daneluk (George) of Drummond, three sons, Edward Jr. (Lucy) of Burlington, Ontario, Robert (Joy) of Poughkeepsie, New York and Paul of Toronto, 14 grandchildren, six great grandchildren, one great great granddaughter, three sisters, Noreen Jolley (Alex) of Salmon Arm, BC, Betty Moore (Kenneth) of Hoyt, NB and Letty Toner (Gordon) of Harvey Station, NB, several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by one sister, Marion Mersereau and three brothers, Frederick, Elmer and Joyner Ryan. Her funeral service was held Saturday, April 4th at 11 a.m. from the Assumption Roman Catholic Church, Grand Falls, with Father William Rice officiating, assisted by Father Lucien Levesque. The pallbearers were George Daneluk, George Jr. Daneluk, Pierre Roberge, Michelle Paradis, Dawn Tillotson and Kane Sullivan. Interment was in the Assumption Cemetery. Lorne Côté
Lorne Côté, de Saint-Léonard fils de feu Frank Côté et feu Hope Poitras époux de feu Linda Côté et conjoint de Dorina Bourgoin, est décédé le 29 mars 2009 à l'hôpital Général de Grand-Sault à l'âge de 83 ans. Outre sa conjointe, il laisse dans le deuil sa brue Chantal Chamberlain et sa petite fille Cansandra Côté d'Edmundston. Les funérailles ont eu lieu le jeudi 2 avril en l'église de St-Léonard. Le service fut dirigé par le père Roland Poitras avec l'inhumation au cimetière paroissial. La quête a été confiée à Jacques Bourgoin et Maurice Bourgoin. La direction des funérailles a été confiée aux Résidences funéraire Brunswick ltée.
Anne Marie Comeau
Anne Marie Comeau de Grand-Sault est décédée le 23 mars 2009 à l'âge de 76 ans et six mois. Elle était la fille de feu Joseph Comeau et feu Célestine Cottreau. Elle laisse dans le deuil son frère, Jean Eude Comeau et sa nièce et son neveu, Kathy et Perry, tous de Amhurst, N.E. ainsi que sa soeur, Sr Agnès Comeau, R.H.S.J, de Yarmouth, N.E. Les funérailles ont eu lieu le 26 mars 2009 en l'Église Assomptionavec l'inhumation au cimetière de Drummond. Le service fut célébré par le Père Jean-Marie Martin, assisté par le père William Rice, père Pierre Thibodeau, Père Frédéric Poitras et le e Lucien Levesque. Les porteurs étaient Rock Levesque, Gerry Cyr, Aldé Desjardins et George Bernier. Gerry Cyr et George Bernier étaient responsables de la distribution des cartes tandis que Rock Levesque et Aldéo Desjardins étaient les responsables de la quête Mell Comeau a travaillé pendant 38 ans comme ménagère dans les presbytères de la région. La direction des funérailles a été confié aux résidences funéraires Brunswick Ltée d'Edmundston, N.B.
Robert William Barry
Robert W. Barry, 87, of Moncton, passed away peacefully at his residence on Tuesday, March 17, 2009. Born in Blackville, NB, he was the son of the late George and Kathleen (Watson) Barry. Robert was retired from the CNR and attended the United Church. He was a member of the Brotherhood of Maintenance Way Employees. Robert will be sadly missed by his nieces, Patti Boyle (Mike), Canaan, Catherine Kerr (Jim McKenna), Deep River, ON, Cynthia Barry, Blackville; nephew, Donald Barry (Brenda), Fredericton; sister-in-law, Dolly Kerr (Jack), Fredericton; several other nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Robert was predeceased by his wife, Rita Marie Barry; brother, Bliss; sister, Mona. No visitation by personal request.
