ELLISON, Edith M.
Edith M. (Warren) Ellison passed away at York Manor Nursing Home on Wednesday, October 21, 1998. She was born in London, Ontario, the daughter of the late Philip B. and Elvina (Pegler) Warren. She attended school at Westervelt Collegiate and was later employed with Electrolux (Canada) Ltd, at London, Brantford, Montreal and Saint John, N.B., and with the C.P.R. Executive Offices in Montreal. Survived by her husband Dana M. Ellison, one son Brian in Toronto, one daughter Marilyn Wilson in Ottawa, two granddaughters Erin and Tara, one nephew and one niece. She was predeceased by a brother Charles Alan Warren of London, Ontario. She was a member of Christ Church (Parish) Church, Fredericton, N.B., and was the first senior citizen to obtain a B.A. from St. Thomas University, Fredericton, N.B., in 1978. She was also a Life Member of the Women's Institute of N.B. Funeral arrangements are being made by Bishop's Funeral Home, 540 Woodstock Road, Fredericton, N.B. There will be no visitation by request of the family. Following cremation, a memorial service will be held at St. Anne's Chapel of Ease, Westmorland Street, Fredericton, on Saturday, October 24, 1998 at 11 a.m. Rev. Rod Black will officiate and will be assisted by Rev. Bob Johnson. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Parkinson Foundation, the Alzheimer Society or to a charity of the donor's choice. Following the service the family will receive friends at a reception to be held at the church. Interment of ashes at the Bayview Cemetery, Hatfield's Point, King's Co., N.B. at a later date.
MACLEOD, Glenwood Basil
The death of Glenwood Basil MacLeod occurred at Charlotte County Hospital, St. Stephen, N.B. on October 21, 1998. Born on November 23, 1925. Graduate of St. Stephen High School and St. Stephen Business College. Veteran of World War II 1st and 3rd Battalions North Shore (NB) Regiment. Served in the Canadian Army Militia (1950-1964) with the 1st Bn New Brunswick Regiment (C&Y). Employed with the Federal Department of Employment and Immigration (1950-1985) and as County Coroner, Province of New Brunswick (1984-1997). Former St. Stephen Town Councillor and Past President and life member of the St. Croix Branch Royal Canadian Legion. Member of the Corps of Commissionaires and St. Stephen Rural Cemetery Board. Active in Trinity Anglican and Christ Church (vestry & choir, warden & treasurer). Survived by his wife, Doris (Dinsmore), sons Jeffrey (Anne), David (Nancy) and John, daughter Carolyn (Tom Carson) and grandchildren Emily MacLeod, Erika and Thomas Carson. Also by his brother Lloyd (Joan), sisters Carol (Eric Smith) and Bernice Southard, sisters-in-law, Evelyn MacLeod and Jacqueline MacLeod, several nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be held at Christ Anglican Church, Prince William Street, St. Stephen, N.B., at 2 p.m. on Saturday October 24, 1998. Visitation will take place at The S.O. Mehan & Son Funeral Home Ltd., 23 Main Street, St. Stephen, N.B. on Friday October 23, 1998 from 2 to 4 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to Christ Anglican Church, St. Stephen, N.B. would be appreciated by the family.
MYLES, Glenna
The death of Glenna (Farrell) Myles occurred at the Dr. Everett Chalmer's Hospital on October 22nd, 1998. Born in MacKenzie Corner in December of 1925, she graduated from the Victoria Public Hospital Nursing School in 1948. Survived by three sons, Donald and his wife Laurel of Calgary, AB, Paul and his wife Lorrie of Nackawic, N.B. and Brian and his wife Teri of Nackawic, N.B; one sister Berniece Debay of Newport, ME; seven grandchildren, Tanya (Myles) Porter and Terra (Myles) Mouland of Riverview, N.B., Jodi Myles, B.J. Myles, Jennifer Myles, Stephanie Myles and Bobby Myles of Nackawic, N.B.; two great-grandchildren, Taylor Porter and Katelyn Porter of Riverview, N.B.; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Robert S. Myles, one brother Merlin Farrell and her parents George and Myrtle Farrell. The family will receive visitors at McAdam's Funeral Home on Saturday, October 24th from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will be held from the funeral home chapel on Sunday, October 25th at 3:00 p.m. Father John Jennings will officiate. Pallbearers for the service will be, Pete Peterson, Ryan MacFarland, Fred Gaudet, Carl McMaster, John Horsnell and Gordon Brewer. Honorary pallbearers will be her nursing classmates, Marg McMaster, Evelyn Estey, Ida Reid, Mable Robbins, Gwen Coburn, Edi McGlynn, and Marion Lingley. Interment will be at the Prince William Cemetery in Prince William, NB. Following the interment, all are invited back to McAdam's Funeral Home for a reception. For those who wish, memorial tributes may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, the Shriner's Hospital or to the charity of the donor's choice. NOBLE, Joseph Kenneth
Passed away at home, Rusagonis, N.B., on Tuesday October 20, 1998. Born in Rusagonis, he was a son of the late Marvin Adam Noble and Annie Harding (Harris) Noble. A retired trucker, he was Baptist by faith. He was predeceased by his daughter JoAnne Beaucage and by brothers Hedley and Cecil and sisters Mahalia and Julia. Survived by sons Ronald, Carl and Nelson all of Fredericton and by a daughter Sharon Noble of Vancouver, B.C.; grandchildren; two sisters Lelia and Mary and two brothers Hazen and Roy. There will be no visitation or funeral service by request. Cremation will be held with interment in the Rusagonis Baptist Cemetery. Bishop's Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Memorial may be made to the charity of the donors choice.
WINSLETT, George
Passed away peacefully after a long illness on October 21, 1998. George had recently moved to Fredericton from Ottawa, Ontario with his wife Susan, daughter and son-in-law, Colleen and William Dickinson and their two children to be near his daughter and son-in-law, Liz and Edgar of Fredericton. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren, one great grandchild; two sisters, Barbara and Margaret; several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held Saturday, October 24, 1998 from 2 to 4 p.m. at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton N.B. A private burial will take place at a later date. For those who wish, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or to the Extra Mural Hospital.

Mr. Joseph Ambrose McDermott of Kenneth Spencer Memorial Home, Salisbury Road, Moncton and formerly of Smith Creek, N.B. passed away at Moncton Hospital on Thursday, October 22, 1998. Mrs. Whitaker was born December 31st, 1916, in Hillsborough, N.B., a daughter of the late Stephen and Clara (McLean) Wilband, and had resided the greater part of her life in Saint John. She was predeceased by a son, Stephen Wilband; three brothers, Joseph, Aubrey, and Frank Wilband; and two sisters, Patricia Coughlan and Rita Wilband. She is survived by two sons, David (Brenda) of Quispamsis, and Edward (Margaret) of Upper Golden Grove; one daughter, Ruth Easton (Harvey) of Port Stanley; one brother, Edward Wilband of Saint John; four sisters, Joan Devore (Gilbert) of Gilbert, AZ, Clara Partridge of Gilbert, Az, Louise Pagliaro of Plant City, Fla ., and Ruth Lyman of Des Moines, Iowa; four grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; and several nieces and nephews. Resting at Fitzpatrick's Funeral Home, 100 Waterloo St., with visiting on Thursday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Ann's Church on Friday morning at ten o'clock. Interment will take place in St. Joseph's Cemetery.

Beloved son of Kerri Lynn Myles and Christopher Reid West, and baby brother of Ashlyn Cyr-West and Hannah Myles was dedicated into God's loving care on August 28th, 2007 at IWK Health Centre. Jalen is also survived by his maternal grandparents, Patrick and Christine Myles, Newfoundland, paternal grandparents, David and Helen West, New Brunswick, as well as his aunts and uncles. A naming and blessing service has taken place at IWK Health Centre with Rev Elaine Walcott officiating.
