MURPHY, May, - passed away suddenly at the Health Sciences Complex on Sunday, March 2, 2003, May Murphy. Aged 60 years. Predeceased by her father Daniel Whitten, 1973. Leaving to mourn her loving husband Raymond; son Douglas; mother Emilene Whitten; brothers: Gerald (Regina), Douglas (Diane), Hubert (Inez), Daniel (Lucy), Eric (Sharon); sisters: Jean (Stanley Harris), Lorraine (Leslie Critch); step-children: Margaret (Dave Coveyduck), William Murphy (Marg) Suzanne (Wayne O`Connell), Rita (Peter Walsh), Brian Murphy (Margie); grandchildren; great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends. Resting at Barrett`s Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue from 11 a.m. - 10 p.m. on Monday and from 10 a.m. - 10 p.m. on Tuesday. MORGAN, Suzanne - Passed peacefully away at the Health Sciences Center, Tuesday, April 21, 1992, Suzanne Morgan of Kelligrews in her 99th year. Widow of the late Silas Morgan; predeceased by her son Clarence in 1987. Leaving to mourn two sons: Verner (Marion) Bert (Annie) of Kelligrews, five daughters: Gwen Fagan (Reg), Margaret Parsons (Ern), Laura Porter with whom she resided, Kelligrews, Louise Smith (Lloyd) of Manuels, Eva Balsom (Fred) Grand Falls; forty five grandchildren, 81 great grandchildren, and 9 great great grandchildren; also a large number of relatives and friends and the staff who gave her such great care at the home she resided at. Resting at Hickey's Funeral Home, Kelligrews until 12:00 noon Friday. Funeral service at Hickey's Chapel 2:30p.m. April 24, 1992. Internment at Paradise cemetery . SEWARD, Nellie (nee Peddle) Peacefully at her daughter's residence, on October 19, 1978. aged eighty eight years, beloved wife of the late Edmond Seward and the late Alfred Morgan, dear mother of James J. Morgan of Toronto, Ont. and Annie (Mrs. William Coveduck) of Verdun, Quebec. also survived by seven grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren. Resting at
the J. F. Wilson and Sons Funeral Home, 5784 Verdun Avenue, Verdun, Quebec. On October 22nd. Seven members of the family accompanied her body to St John's Newfoundland for Internment in Hopewell cemetery , Conception Bay.

Strong, Charles J. Funeral services will be held Sunday afternoon at 2:30 in Mt. Bellingham M. E. church for Charles J. Strong 89 Bellingham St. who passed away yesterday afternoon after a three week illness at the Memorial Hospital. Born in Old Perlican, Newfoundland 63 years ago, the deceased had been a resident of this city for the last 14 years. He was employed by the Palmer Lumber Co. in Charlestown. Mr Strong was an active member of Mt. Bellingham church and belonged to the Smith Class. He had been in failing health for several months but his death came as a shock to a wide circle of friends. Besides his wife Mrs. Selina (nee MORGAN) Strong, he is survived by three daughters, Mrs Blanch Harvey, 119 Grove St., Mrs Mildred Janes, Everett and Miss Gladys Strong, at home. Rev. Henry I. Bailey, pastor of Mt. Bellingham church, will officiate and burial is to be in Glenwood cemetery , Everett. Funeral arangements are in charge of Wendell W. Dykeman, 23 (?) Ave.

WATTS, Eudora (Dottie) .. Interfaith Home for Seniors, Corner Brook (Formerly of Rocky Harbour, NF) It is with great sadness that the family of the late Dottie (Pittman) Watts announce her passing at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital on Wednesday, June 6th, 2001 in her 83rd year. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are her children: son Jim, Nettle's Harbour; daughters: Rhoda Downton (George), Corner Brook, Lillian Pittman (Wilfred), Sackville, NS and Ada Barbour (Allison), St. John's, NF; eight grandchildren: Paula O'Connell (Ron), Scott Downton (Denise), Travis Pittman (Christine), Troy and Tim Pittman, Tammy Collins, Michael and Mark Barbour; eight great-grandchildren: Christopher and Heather O'Connell, Nicholas and Julia Downton, Ashley Collins, Brock Pittman, Justine and B.J. She is survived by two sisters: Rosie Shears (Sidney), Rocky Harbour and Annie (Pittman) Coveyduck, Mackinsons, NF, as well as other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Albert in 1988, two infant sons, William and David, and sisters Blanche and Olive. Visitation will take place from Fillatre's Funeral Home, Rocky Harbour on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-10 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Friday, June 8th, at 2:00 p.m. from the Wesley United Church, Rev. Elizabeth Kozbial officiating. Interment to follow at the church cemetery .
