RONALD JOSEPH SHEPPARD

St. George’s, NL - It is with great sadness that the family of the late Ronald Joseph Sheppard announce his passing at Western Memorial Regional Hospital in Corner Brook on Wednesday, May 2, 2007 at the age of 61 years. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories: two brothers: Freeman (Diane) Sheppard and Melvin (Alma) Sheppard; three sisters: Mona (Joseph) McCarthy, Barbara (Ches) Higdon and Patsy (Doug) Cramm; as well as a large number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his parents Raymond and Isabella Sheppard and sister Lila Sheppard. Friends may visit St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church, St. George’s on Thursday from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm, and on Friday from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm. The funeral service will take place on Saturday, May 5, 2007 at 10 am, with Father Gerard Patry officiating. Interment will follow at the Roman Catholic Cemetery in Shallop Cove. As expressions of sympathy, flowers are graciously accepted or donations may be made to the Diabetes Association. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Fillatre’s Funeral Home, Stephenville Crossing.
BLANCHE LILLIAN ANDERSON (nee GALLANT)
Irishtown, NL - It is with great sadness that the family of the late Blanche Anderson announce her passing at Western Memorial Regional Hospital, Corner Brook on Monday, February 26th, 2007 at the age of 91 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are her children: Mary Mishaud (Joe), Joe Piercey (Loretta), Dave Piercey and Terry Anderson; step-children: Wil Anderson (Theresa) and George Anderson (Monica); 13 grandchildren: Wally, Monty, Debbie, Wanda, Lori, Gail, Sterling, Wade, Dean, Dermon, Marcie, Deon and Angie; 16 great grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren; seven step grandchildren and six step great grandchildren; sister: Rita Bronson, Boston, Mass.; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Predeceased by first husband Timothy Piercey, 1945, second husband William Anderson, 1987, infant son; great grandson Joey, 1993, great-great grandson Brady, 2000; sisters: Mary Bennett, Genevieve Bennett; brothers: Johnny, Felix and Joe Gallant; daughter-in-law: Georgina Piercey, 1994; brothers-in-law: William and Douglas Bennett; sisters-in-law: Margaret and Monica Gallant. Friends may visit St. Brendan’s Roman Catholic Church, Irishtown on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9:00 p.m. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, March 1st, at 10:00 A.M. from All Hallows Church, Humber Road. Corner Brook, NL - Passed peacefully away on Tuesday, February 27th, 2007 Pauline Madonna Blackwood at Western Memorial Regional Hospital, Corner Brook at the age of 56 years. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her father George Blackwood, sister Patricia (Brendan) Seaward, brother Richard (Fran) Blackwood, nieces: Tracey (Brad) Humber and Kelly (Brent) Garthshore, nephews: Darren (Emma) Blackwood, Bradley Blackwood, John and Scott Seaward, great-nieces: Sarah and Anna Humber and Jessica Garthshore, uncle Pierce (Marion) Blackwood and special family friend Cynthia Janes. As well as a large circle of other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her mother Bride Blackwood, January, 1997. At Pauline’s request cremation has taken place at Humber Valley Crematorium, Pasadena. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories, his common-law wife, Theresa Marcoccia; his children: Jamie & Samantha; Theresa’s children: Phillip & Anthony; sisters: Phyllis Freeman of Ontario, Vera Dunphy (Greg) of Nova Scotia, Diane Thornham (Wade) of Nova Scotia and Elaine Bennett of Corner Brook; brothers: Robert (Judy) of Corner Brook, Fred (Sheila) of McIvers, Terry of Ontario and Eric (Florence) of Irishtown; and a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his parents, Hubert & Selina Brown; brother, Maxwell; an infant brother and an infant sister. Joseph Gorman, age 53 years, died peacefully at home on Monday, February 26, 2007, with his loving wife Nadine Roche (Koots) by his side, after a courageous battle with cancer. Predeceased by his father Clifford and mother Eileen. The Funeral service will be held Saturday, March 22nd at 2:00 p.m. from St. Michael's and All Angels Anglican Church, Park Drive, Corner Brook, Canon David Pearce officiating. The interment will follow at the Mt. Patricia Cemetery Receiving Chapel. A reception will be held at St. Michael’s and All Angels Church Hall after the interment service, all are welcome to attend. It is with great sadness that the family of the late Bride Hackett announce her passing at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital on Tuesday, June 3, 2003 at the age of 82 years.
She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories, nine sons: Ted (Philomena), Reg (Violet), Walter (Eva), Tom (Martha), Gerald (friend Mary), Allan (Millie), Brendan (Holly), Karl, Peter (Nancy); three daughters: Velita McCarthy (Mick), Ann Marie, Donna Donahue (Darren); special grandson Jamie Hackett, sister Velita Rowe (Henry), sister-in-law Victoria Hackett, and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
She was predeceased by her husband Michael, daughter Rhona, son Ignatius, daughter-in-law Helen Hackett, parents Walter and Julia Hynes, sister Marion Chassion and infant brother Reginald.
