Walsh, Martin Patrick (1939-2014) It is with deep sadness the family of Martin Walsh announce his passing after a courageous battle with dementia and cancer at the L. A. Miller Center Palliative Care Unit on Mon. Oct 20, 2014. Predeceased by his parents Mary Ellen and Pius Walsh, in laws Mary and Ishmael Davis, brothers Pius and Peter, sisters Madonna Hann (Austin Sr)and Mary Hayes (Gus), and sister in law Florence Howse (Tom). Leaving to mourn his loving wife of 50 years, Katie, sons Gerard (Andrea), John (Wendy), daughters Susan Guiney (Billy) and Carolyn Shannahan (Paul), Grandchildren, Kathleen, Jason, Christopher, Marcus and Todd Walsh, Carrie and Katie Guiney, Martina and Luke Shannahan and his sisters Theresa Stewart and Marguerite Kennedy. Also leaving a large circle of nieces, nephews, family, friends and his former co-worker friends at Marine Atlantic where he worked for many years. Resting at Fahey’s Funeral Home, Fermeuse Wed Oct 22 and Thurs Oct 23 2-9 pm. Mass of Christian Burial at Immaculate Conception Church Cape Broyle 10 am Fri Oct 24. Interment to follow at Our Lady of the Cape cemetery. Thank you to everyone who helped with Dad’s care throughout his illness. Dad you will always be cherished in our memories and our hearts.
Frederick Patrick Sheehan

Frederick Sheehan of Cappahayden, in his 86th year Passed peacefully away on Friday, November 7, 2014 at Chancellor Park surrounded by his family. Predeceased by his mother and father Alfred and Catherine Sheehan, aunt Sister Mechtilde Lawlor, brother in law Vincent Power and sister in law Josephine Power. Leaving to mourn his wife of 53 years Rita and his seven children, Colleen (Brian), Gerard (Susan), Cynthia (Derm), Neil (Beth), Delores (Dwight), Noel (Yolanda) and Kenneth (Diana), ten grandchildren, Joshua, Heather (Ryan), Courtney (Mark), Matthew, Alexandria, Noah, Jenna, Hayden, Gavin and Ryan. Also his sisters Mary Brophy (Kevin, deceased) of Fermeuse, Mechtilde Brophy (Phillip, deceased) of Fermeuse and Annunciata (Michael) Johnson of Calvert, brother and lifelong friend Patrick (Clara) Sheehan of Cappahayden, Brother in laws Michael Power (Sheila, deceased) of Ontario, Edward (Anna) Power of New York, Joseph Power (Marie, deceased) of Renews and sister in law Caroline Osher of New York and large circle of friends, nieces and nephews. A special thank you to Kevin and Michael Power for all the aid given to our mom during her many trips back and forth to Chancellor Park. To the staff and doctors of Chancellor Park, we greatly appreciate and are eternally grateful for the kindness, support and compassion shown to Dad and the family throughout his 4 years and most especially in his final days. Clarabelle Fennelly (Ryan)

Passed peacefully away in the presence of her family and in the tender care of the staff at Faheys Personal Care Home Fermeuse on Sunday Nov 30 2014 Clarabelle Fennelly (Ryan) of Port Kirwan age 95 years. Predeceased by her husband Raymond Fennelly (02-2008). Left with fond and loving memories her children. Catherine Cahill, Tom (Sandy), Janet Symes (George), Dorothy Brothers (John), Ray (Beth) and Sharon Sinnott (Alvin) and her grandchildren and great grand children. Resting at Faheys Funeral Home Fermeuse Monday 7-9 p.m. Tuesday 2-9 p.m. Wednesday 9-10 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial 10:30 a.m. Charles Borromeo Catholic church Fermeuse with internment to follow at Charles Borromeo Catholic cemetery. Mrs. Belle endeared herself to all who had the pleasure of her aquaintence. She shared her music for 90 years with hundreds of audiences, fellow musicians and students. Her tunes that were passed on over the years and preserved by her peers contributed to her being presented with the Newfoundland and Labrador folk arts lifetime achievement award in 2014. Mrs. Belle had deep faith and was a constant supporter of anything charitable. It is her request in lieu of flowers donations can be made in her name to the Bliss Murphy Cancer charity. Chad Kenny

It is with great sadness the family of Chad Kenny announce his sudden passing at his home in Fermeuse on December 26, 2014 at the age of 32. Predeceased by his grandparents Bill and Lorraine Williams and Tom and Mary Kenny and cousins Allison Maher and Linda Cahill. Leaving to mourn his pride and joy, his daughter Alyssa, who he loved dearly and lived every moment for. Also left to mourn with saddened hearts and cherished memories his mother Glenys (Raph), father Jim (Cathy), sister Shannon (Harold), also a large circle of aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, and special friends Jimmy, Trevor, Joel and Ryan along with his friends and coworkers on the Hibernia platform. July 24, 1937 - March 3, 2015 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of a dear father, grandfather, brother and friend, William Peter Duggan on March 3, 2015 age 77 of Cape Broyle. His family is grateful for the excellent care that he received from the nurses and staff of the ICU at St. Clare's Hospital. Predeceased by his parents Patrick and Bridget Duggan, sisters Mary Duncan and Jose Carew and his brothers John, Michael and Kevin. Leaving to mourn his loving family, wife Anna of 45 years, daughter's Sherry Lynn (Paul), Arlene (Stuart) and Juanita (Barry); grandchildren Chelsea, Kayley and William and their dad James Walsh. Passed peacefully away on March 17, 2015 Blanche M. Waddleton of Trepassey in her 77 year. Predeceased by her husband Reg, parents Michael and Sarah Sutton, sister Rita Waddleton, and brother Martin Sutton. Leaving to mourn her sisters Mary Perry (Ian) and Theresa Pennell, her brothers Tom (Mary) and Kevin Sutton, sister-in-law Irene Waddleton, Kevin Brazil and his mother Frances, many nieces, nephews and friends. Mary Catherine Walsh Passed on: March 19th, 2015 (1936-2015) Passed peacefully away on March 19th, 2015 at St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital surrounded by her loving family and friends. Predeceased by her loving husband of 43 years Michael Walsh, her parents John J. and Mary A. Kenny and father and mother-in- law William and Lucy Walsh, brothers-in-law Clarence and Raymond Walsh, Aiden Nolander and sister-in-law Sr. Annette Walsh. Leaving to mourn her brother Gordon Kenny (Margie); her sisters: Imelda Dunn (John, deceased), Marion Pittman (Jim), Anna Kenny, Margie Careen, and Doreen Carey (Lawrence). Sisters-in-law: Eileen Nolander, Sr. Lucia Walsh and Stella Walsh. Mary also leaves to mourn 12 nieces, 14 nephews, 19 grand-nieces, 12 grand nephews, 3 great-grand nieces and 2 great-grand nephews. She was a very special Aunt Mamie to all and loved very much. Mary will be greatly missed by the sisters and staff of the Presentation Convent in St. John’s. She also leaves to mourn her good neighbors Ron & Uriel Murphy, Billy & Sharon Walsh and Francis Walsh. Mary leaves to mourn the entire community of Calvert as well as surrounding communities on the Southern Shore, where she was devoted to her church and fellow parishioners and will be remembered for her loving and caring nature towards everyone around her. Mary always had a smile for everyone and will be missed beyond words. A special thank you to her caregivers at Fahey’s Nursing Home.
