Beatrice Georgina Jennings
1939-2012
It is with great sadness that the family of Beatrice Georgina Jennings announce her passing
at Western Memorial Hospital, after her courageous battle with cancer on Monday, January 30, 2012 at the age of 72 years, with her loving family by her side.
She will be sadly and deeply missed by her husband of 43 years, Almon and daughter Vanessa (Darryl) Callahan.
She also leaves to mourn her two brothers Gilbert (Ena) Andrews of Stoneville, Ross Andrews of Catalina, her sister Irene (Lester) Green of Raleigh, as well as a large circle of relatives and friends.
She was predeceased by her parents Eliol and Emily Andrews and her father and mother-in-law Kenneth and Agnes Jennings.
The funeral service will be held Wednesday, February 1st at 2:00 p.m. at St. Mary’s Anglican Church, Curling Street, Reverend Karen Laldin officiating, followed by the interment at Mt. Patricia Cemetery. Friends may visit Fillatre’s Funeral Home 218 Curling Street Tuesday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m.
As expressions of sympathy flowers are graciously accepted or memorial donations may be made to a charity of one's choice.

Corner Brook, NL - Passed away on Sunday, January 29, 2012, Junia Langins at Corner Brook Long Term Care home at the age of 89 years.
Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories: son: Janis (Anna), Toronto; daughter: Liga, Corner Brook; five grandchildren: Margrieta, Juris, Kaspars, Maija and Paul; sister: Kira; Kira’s son Christopher, Kira’s daughter Sandra (Christopher) and their daughters: Martina and Daria, as well as many relatives and friends.
She was predeceased by her husband, Ernest Langins, February 4, 2005 and her parents: Dagmara and Arkadiy Obrazcov. A Memorial service will be held at a later date.
As expressions of sympathy, no flowers by request, donations in her memory may be made to Western Memorial Regional Hospital Foundation or to the charity of one’s choice.

On Thursday, January 26, 2012 we lost our Precious Little Princess, Kira-Hope Diamond Barnes at her home in Corner Brook at the age of 5 years.
She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her mother Charlene Barnes; father Peter Brown; brothers: Christopher and Stephen Barnes; grandparents Elaine Barnes (Taylor Crocker), Chris Dalaney, Bud and Wanda Sullivan; aunts and uncles: Laura (Brian) Joyce, Taylor Barnes, Trevor Sullivan, Joseph Sullivan and Stephanie (Brendan) Judge; cousins: Alexis, Connor and Kieran; as well as a large circle of great aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends.
A very special thank you to all of Kira-Hope’s home care workers for all their love and support over the years.
Friends may visit Emmanuel Pentecostal Church in Cox’s Cove on Friday and Saturday from the hours of 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. from where the funeral service will be held on Sunday, January 29 at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor William Sampson officiating.

Stewart Laing
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Stewart Laing announce his passing on Saturday, January 21, 2012 at the Labrador Grenfell Health Centre at the age of 64 years.
He will be sadly missed by his wife Grace; children: Norman (Ronda), Nadine (Deon) and Neil (Adriana); grandchildren: Jordan, Katelynn, Nikita, Jamie and Emily; sister Virginia (Fred) and a special girl Kerstain. As well as a large circle of nieces, nephews others relatives and friends.
He was predeceased by father Norman; mother Louisa Jane; sisters: Jessie and Vera; and brothers: Walter and Curling.
Friends may visit Fillatre’s Funeral Home, Happy Valley Goose Bay on Sunday and Monday from the hours of 2-4 and 7-9 PM.
The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, January 24 at 2:00 PM from the Anglican Church with interment to follow at the Anglican Cemetery.

Clyde Melvin King
May 31, 1947 … January 18, 2012
Corner Brook, NL - It is with great sadness that the family of the late Clyde M. King announce his passing on Wednesday, January 18th, 2012 at Western Memorial Regional Hospital at the age of 64 years.
Clyde was an avid hockey fan and player, passionately following his Montreal Canadiens. He loved nature and spent countless hours walking, hunting and fishing. An excellent and proud family man, his love for sports, music and animals were passed on to his children and four grandsons. A loving husband, he fought a valiant battle against illness to spend as much time as possible with the love of his life. His family learned love, strength and honor from his teachings, and he will be sorely missed.
Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories is his wife of 44 years, Linda (nee Penney); children: Susan Hingston (Rob), Janet Spurrell (Jason) and David King; grandchildren: Ryan King, Niall and Aaron Hingston, Zachary Spurrell; mother: Mrs. Vera King; sister: Ruth Wellon (Dave); brothers: Bob (Mae) and Bill (Shirley); sisters-in-law: Terri Parrill (Bob), Irene Pritchett (Mavin) and Mary Mouland (Jesse); brother-in-law: Joe Penney (Liz); special aunt: Irene Simms and special Uncle: Clyde Hutchings; as well as large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends. He was predeceased by his father: Dugald King; brother: Jim King; sister: Sharon Gardner; mother and father-in-law: Winnie and Sidney Penney.
Friends may visit Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 4 St. Marks Avenue on Thursday evening, 7-9:00 p.m. and Friday, 2-4 and 7-9:00 p.m.
The funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 21st at 2:00 p.m. from All Saints Anglican Church, Clarence Street. Reverend Tanya White officiating.
Interment to follow at Mt. Patricia Cemetery.
