Predeceased by his parents, Dennis & Elizabeth Flynn, his grandparents, Mary Ann & Harry Laracy, his aunt, Sr. Mary Scholastica Flynn, RSM, his mother and father in-law, Nellie & Ted LaCour. Left with fond and loving memories are his devoted wife of 45 years, Martina (nee LaCour), his daughters: Betty Ann Costello (Bill), Conception Hr., Sharon Oulton (Ray), Lower Sackville, NS, Rhea Lundrigan (Rodney), Upper Gullies, two precious grandchildren: Leslie-Anne & Shannon Costello, his brothers-in-law: Edward Lacour (Libby) St. John’s, Walter LaCour (Shirley), Holyrood, Declan LaCour (Marg), Lakeview, Rick LaCour (Trudy), Corner Brook, his sisters-in-law: Helen Dalton (Fred), Labrador City, Marie Noseworthy (Norm), Mississauga, ON, his three special aunts: Frances Laracy, Conception Hr., Constance Costigan, Hr. Visitation on Tuesday & Wednesday from 12 noon - 9:30 p.m.. Funeral will take place on Thursday, January 29th, 2004 with 11:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial from SS. Peter & Paul Church, Hr. Main. Cremation to follow. Inurnment will be at a later date in SS. Peter & Paul Cemetery, Hr. Main. Left with fond and loving memories are her children: Christopher & Jessica, her parents, Annie Devereaux, Edmonton, AB, and Patrick Milmore, St. John’s her fiancé, Darryl Reid, Bishop’s Falls, her sisters & brothers: Margaret Linthorne (Fred), Georgetown, Leanne (Gerard) Kelly, Patrick (Cathy) Milmore, Kevin (Michelle) Milmore all at Edmonton, AB, Con (Sandra) Milmore, Mt. (John Fahey), and Alanna Winter, son Professor Richard Greene (Marianne Marusic), stepdaughter Andrea Maunder (Michael Barsky), stepson David Maunder (Tanya Roche), grandchildren, Lara Fraize, Kalli Fraize, Alanna Fraize, Sarah Greene, Samuel Greene, Isabella Fahey, Robert Fahey, Anna Winter, step-grandchild Julia Maunder, uncle Joseph Mackey (Elizabeth), sister-in-law Shirley Greene, and a wide circle of relatives and friends. Left to mourn are sons: Joe, Tyrone, Wayne (Peggy), Darrell (Regina), Michael (Ada), 16 grandchildren and 2 great- grandchildren, brothers: Fred (Sylvia), Jack, Dennis, Mike, William (Elaine), also a large circle of extended family and friends, including special friend, Isabelle Walsh. (1918-2007) - It is with overwhelming sadness and a heavy heart that we announce the peaceful passing on Friday, June 22, 2007 of a dear father, grandfather, brother and friend, James Thomey, aged 88 years. He died as he lived with dignity and peace in the presence of his loved ones at the family home in Avondale. He was a former retired mechanic of the US Naval Base in Argentia, Member of the Local 203 Boilermakers Union. and Member K of C Cabot Council 6001. Predeceased by his wife Catherine (June 22, 1982); parents Arthur and Mary; brothers Mike and Mark; and sisters Mary, Joan, and Camilla. Left with a lifetime of love and wonderful memories, his beloved daughters Camilla (Brian) Payne, Wabush, Joanne (Joseph) Moore, Avondale; five precious grandchildren, Michael and Michelle Moore; Scott, Mark and Anne Payne; brothers Ron (Bride) Calgary, Bren (Helen) and John (Lillian) Harbour Grace; sisters-in- law Anne Doyle, Avondale, Genevieve Lambe and Ester Costello, St. John’s; brothers-in- law Tom (Kay) Costello, Avondale, Jim Elkin, USA, William Doran, Harbour Grace and a large circle of nieces, nephews and friends.
