MANNING, Frances Mary – Passed away peacefully at Grand River Hospital on September 10, 2007 at 78 years of age. Loving wife of Kevin for 54 years. Beloved mother to Barbara (Ernie) Shumsky, Kevin (Dianne), Dan (Sharon) Manning. Cherished grandmother to Michael and Colleen Manning. Sister to Rose (Harry) Phillips, Helen (Bill) Abbott and Edward (Angela) O’Brien. Sister-in-law to Marion Grace Manning and Theresa O’Brien. We deeply mourn the loss of our wife, mother and grandmother. God has taken Frances into his loving arms. She will be missed and remembered always. A service has taken place at Schreiter-Sandrock Funeral Home and Chapel 51 Benton St. Kitchener, Ontario. (519) 742-4481. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her name to the Grand River Hospital Foundation.

EASTMAN, Marjorie (Lambert) – Passed peacefully away in the presence of her family on Monday, September 10, 2007 aged 76 years. Predeceased by her husband James. She leaves to mourn her daughters Joan (Jerry), Joy; sons Rick (Donna), Terry (Philomena), Jim (Ranessa); granddaughters Jennifer, Kimberley, Sophia; grandsons Michael and Matthew; great-granddaughters Briana and Brooklyn; brother Winston (Elizabeth); sister Mae (Clyde, deceased); special sister-in-law Jean (Christa and Troy); also a large number of sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law; caregivers Mary Hobbs and Pauline Kelly; special friends Emma, Florence, Daphne, Carol Ann and many more. Resting at Pritchett’s Funeral Home in Gambo. Visitation Wednesday 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Thursday at 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Funeral service to be held on Thursday at 2 p.m. at St. George’s Anglican Church in Gambo. Flowers gratefully accepted or donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice.

HANN, George Wilson – It is with sadness, yet with gratitude for a life so well lived, that Wilson’s family announces his peaceful passing surrounded by his loving family at the Health Sciences Complex, after a very courageous battle with cancer, on September 11, 2007 in his 87th year. Predeceased by his brothers Chesley and Walter; sisters Lillian, Elsie and Hilda. Wilson was a loving husband of 68 years to Edith and a dedicated father to daughters Doreen Upshall (Ralph), Hazel Stringer (Gar) and Frances Kennedy (Vic); sons Norm (Barb), Harvey (Elizabeth) and Ray (Carol); also left to mourn eighteen grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren plus a large circle of relatives and friends. Resting at Carnell’s Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road with visitation on Tuesday from 7-9 p.m. and Wednesday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Visitation will continue at St. Andrew’s Anglican Church, Little Harbour East, Placentia Bay on Thursday from 2-8 p.m. Funeral service will take place on Friday, September 14, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. from St. Andrew's Anglican Church, Little Harbour East. Interment to follow at the Anglican Cemetery. Flowers gratefully accepted or donations in Wilson’s memory may be made to St. Andrew’s Anglican Church, Little Harbour East, Placentia Bay.

PEDDLE, Leroy – Passed peacefully away at Dr. G.B. Cross Memorial Hospital, Clarenville, on Sunday, September 9, 2007, Leroy James Peddle of Musgravetown, aged 93 years. Predeceased by first wife Hilda; sons: Leroy, Glenn and Lloyd; daughters: Kay and Jean; brothers: Jack, Sylvester and Robert; and sisters: Linda and Nellie. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories wife Winifred; daughters: Margaret (William) and Maxine (George); son Gary (André); daughters-in-law; sons-in-law; step-son Allen (Charlotte); step-daughters: Denise (Ingham) and Dildre (Hubert); brother Josiah (Margaret); sisters: Anna Belle, Lavina, Doris (Joseph), Gertie (Clayton) and Charlotte; fifteen grandchildren and a number of great grandchildren; brothers-in-law; sisters-in-law; nephews; nieces; and a large circle of family and friends. Resting at Fewer’s Funeral Home, Lethbridge. Funeral Service 2:00 p.m. Thursday, September 13, 2007 from Salvation Army Citadel, Musgravetown with interment at United Church Cemetery, Musgravetown. PYNN, Wallace (Wally) – Passed peacefully away on Tuesday, September 11, 2007, age 70 years, of Upper Gullies (formerly of Paradise) . Left with fond and cherished memories his wife Sylvia (nee Parsons); sisters: Sybil, Texas, Myrle, St. John’s; brothers: Gerry (Jean), CBS, Hal (Betty), Labrador City; brother-in-law Lloyd (Mary), Ontario, Junior (Marina), N.S.; sister-in-law Darlene Noseworthy (Peter), CBS; also nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Visitation in the James J. Hickey Memorial Funeral Home, Kelligrews on Wednesday and Thursday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service in the Anglican Church, Whitbourne on Friday, September 14, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. Interment in the Anglican Cemetery, Whitbourne. Predeceased by her parents: Susanna and William Noseworthy; sister Laura and brother-in-law William Stone. Leaving to mourn her devoted husband of 56 years Norman; son David; daughter-in-law Elizabeth; grandchildren Sara and David; sisters Sylvia Stone, Jenn Hynes (Harry) and Flora Clouter (Hazen); and brother Albert (Nellie); as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Resting at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Ave. on Wednesday and Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will be held from Barrett’s Chapel on Friday, September 14, 2007 at 11 a.m. Interment to follow at the Anglican Cemetery, Kenmount Road. Leaving to mourn two grandchildren: Paul (Wanda) Mercer, Marilyn (Allan) Woolrich; three great-grandchildren: Bradley, Alex, Kelsey; son-in-law, Gordon Mercer; and a large circle of other relatives and friends.
