Malcolm (Max) Hector Allen
Passed peacefully away on September 29, 2003 after a long battle with prostate cancer. Max, in his 67th year, was surrounded by his loving family and friends.
Predeceased by his parents Malcolm and Evelyn and brother Cambridge.
Left with fond memories are his loving wife Laura; one son Terry; daughter-in-law Kim; granddaughter Kali Sue; grandson Riley; brothers Freeman, Harvey and wife Marie; twin brother Bill and wife Eileen; and a large circle of relatives and friends.
A very special thank you to Dr. Pheonia O’Shea and nurses Carmel and Chris, Dr. Essaji and the community health nurses that cared for him. Cremation has already taken place. The family will be receiving visitations by family and friends at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue on Tuesday, September 30 from 2-4 and 6-10 p.m. and on Wednesday, October 1 from 10a.m.- 12 noon. A Memorial service will take place on Wednesday, October 1, 2003 at 2:00 p.m. at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, Old Placentia Road., Mount Pearl. Flowers gratefully accepted.

Evelyn Alcock passed away peacefully with family at St. Clare's Mercy Hospital on Saturday, April 5th, 2003 aged 82 years.
Wife of the late Hughie Alcock. Leaving to mourn one brother Douglas King and wife Peg at Cambridge, Ontario; One sister; Olive Baker; daughters; Lorraine Clancey (Tom), Jean Fulford, Joan Conway (Dermot), Kay Chaulk (Derick), Carol Cadwell (David), Sharmaine Bursey (Ron) and Audrey Crane; sons; Roy Alcock (Thelma) and Ronnie Alcock (Paula); 25 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and special family of the late Gerald King of Shea Heights, her many special friends and relatives. Also her special friends at Mount Pleasant Manor.

TIZZARD, Annie Ida (nee Strange) - Passed peacefully away at St. Patrick’s Mercy Home on Wednesday, July 17, 2002, Annie Ida Tizzard, in her 89th year.
She will be forever loved and missed by her family: sons David (Rita) Tizzard, Corner Brook, Bruce (Emma) Tizzard, North Sydney, NS; daughters: Dorothy (Bob) Puffer, Dearborn, Michigan, Bonnie (Ron) Brocklehurst, Judy and Nancy; 11 grandchildren; and 8 great grandchildren; also a large circle of other relatives and friends.

Predeceased by his wife Dorothy (nee King), June 23, 2002 and his sisters Ethel, Sarah and Rose.
Leaving to mourn are his cousins: Agnes Thistle (Bruce), David Thomas (Jean), Hubert Thomas (Pauline), Wilfred Thomas, Charles Pope (Bea), Hunter Oak (Sylvia), Helen Carlson, Mary Whitmore and family, Penticton, BC; sister-in-law Cassandra King; nephew Albert King (Lynn) and family, Winnipeg, Manitoba; niece Dorothy Wambolt (Barry), Halifax, NS, Peg King and family, Portugal Cove. At Edward’s request cremation has taken place. Burial to take place at The United Church Cemetery, Bauline Line, Portugal Cove, at a later date.

Passed away at the Health Sciences Complex on July 14, Leslie Edwin LeDrew, veteran of the Newfoundland Ranger Force and the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, formerly of Laurenceton, Notre Dame Bay, in his 89th year. Predeceased by wife Mildred Minnie (Tetford); son Roy; brothers: Garles, Lemuel and Howard; and sisters: Elizabeth and Emily.
Leaving to mourn sons, George (Linda), David (Lucelle), Bevin (Maxine), William (Florence), Lorne (Catherine), and Larry (Ruth); sisters: Ellen Snow and Edith Squires; 14 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and special friend Evelyn Henderson.
Visitation will be at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue, 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. on Monday, July 15, and 10 a.m. - 12 noon on Tuesday, July 16. Memorial Service will be held at Barrett’s Funeral Home 2 p.m., Tuesday, July 16. Interment will be in Laurenceton, Wednesday 11 a.m., to be followed by a reception in the Community Hall. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
