Luetta Meadus
Luetta (nee Marks) (Yates) Meadus passed peacefully away at St. Patrick’s Mercy Home, St. John’s, on Monday, March 24, 2003, Luetta Meadus. Aged 94 years. Predeceased by her husband Edmund, 1976; son Tom, 1990; daughter Heather, 1942; granddaughter Debra Lynn, 1963; and husband Ira Yates, 1986. Left to celebrate Luetta’s life are her daughter Gloria Harding (Bill Dalton); daughter-in-law Rose Meadus; grandchildren: Carolann Harding (Craig Pollett), Tom Meadus (Coretta), Christina Mercer (Geoff), and Robert Grandfield (Margaret); eight great grandchildren: Hollilyn and Hannah Green; Isaac and Benjamin Meadus, William Mercer, Reanna, Julia and Ben Grandfield; stepchildren: Richard Yates (Alma), Marie Crann (Roy), Gertrude Johnson (Wally), Hazel Gunlagson (Brian) and families; also a number of other friends and relatives. A very special thank you to sister Patricia Marie, sister Collette, Dr. Marie O’Dea and the staff at St. Patrick’s Mercy Home who helped us through this difficult time.
Resting at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue on Tuesday and Wednesday from 2-4:30 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Cremation to follow. A memorial celebration will be held on Thursday, March 27, 2003 at 11:00 a.m. from Barrett’s Chapel. A private family interment will follow at Mount Pleasant Cemetery. Gladys V. (Nee Masters, Grant) Marcotte
Passed peacefully away on Sunday, July 20, 2003 at St. Clare's Mercy Hospital after a short battle with Cancer, surrounded by her loving family, Gladys V. Marcotte.
Predeceased by her husband William (Bill), July 1982; her second husband Armand (Tony), February 1998; and her daughter Lorraine, December 2000; stepson Louie Marcotte, July 2003.
Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories her five daughters: Patricia (Ray), New York, Geraldine Parker, New York, Antoinette (Cyril), St. John's, Barbara Martin Kovic, Connecticut, Charlotte (Clifton), St. John's; son-in-law James Brophy, St. John's; two step daughters: Dorothy and Ellen, Brigus South; stepson Michael, St. John's; three brothers: James (Mabel), William (Doreen), and Levi (Carol); sixteen grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren; also a large number of nieces, nephews, and friends.

Passed peacefully away at Chancellor Park Nursing Home on July 10, 2003, Sheila Elizabeth Lynch, aged 64 years.
Predeceased by her husband Gerald in 1994. Leaving to mourn daughters: Christine (husband Stratford Barrett) and Sandra; grandson Matthew; sister Marie Cleary (husband Joseph), Niagara Falls; brother Gerald Foley (wife Paula), St. John’s; sister-in-law Isabel Foley, St. John’s; special uncle Joe King; special friend Ambrose McGrath; and other relatives and friends.

Passed peacefully away at the Health Sciences Center on March 14, 2003, Eileen LeGrow, aged 59 years.
Predeceased by her parents Victor and Rita Godden and brother Owen. Leaving to mourn her husband Bob; son David; daughter Tracey; two grandchildren: Tyler and Kristen Butt; two sisters: Ann Muhlethaler (Peter), Woodstock, Lorraine Drodge (Eldon), Manheim, ON; sister-in-law Marilyn LeGrow; brother-in-law Bruce LeGrow (Jackie); special friend Marilyn Nickerson; a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Cremation has taken place.
A Memorial Service will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, March 17, 2003 from Cowan Heights United Church. Inurnment to follow at Mount Pleasant Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the Cowan Heights United Church Senior Choir and Musical Fund.

Passed away tragically on July 14, 2003 as the result of a motor vehicle accident, Captain F. Morrissey Johnson, aged 70 years.
