Elizabeth Anne Penney

Passed peacefully away at St. Luke's Home on Saturday, March 29, 2003, Elizabeth Anne Penney. Aged 85 years.
Predeceased by her husband John, 1969; and brother Carson Squires, 2000. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories her sons: Wayne (Jeanne) and Boyd (Jodie) of London, Ontario; daughter Glennis Reid (Mundon) of Chapel Arm; sisters: Mabel Eveleigh of London, Ontario, Gladys Tucker and Olive Squires both of St. John's; 11 grandchildren; 2 step grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; also a large circle of relatives and friends.
Resting at Barrett's Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue on Monday from 2-4pm and 7-9pm, and on Tuesday from 12noon-2pm. Funeral service to be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 1, 2003 from Barrett's Chapel. Interment to follow at Mount Pleasant Cemetery. Flowers gratefully accepted or donations in her memory may be made to St. Luke's Hostel Fund.

Ronald Frederick Peet
OCTOBER 16, 1913 - MAY 22, 2002

Passed peacefully away at the Health Sciences Complex on Wednesday, May 22, 2002, Ronald Frederick Peet of St. John’s, aged 88 years (Member of Avalon Lodge and the Newfoundland Ranger Force) .
Predeceased by his wife Janet, 1986; sisters: Anne (Dollie) Peet, and Velma and Ken Moore; brother Thomas and Elizabeth Peet; brother-in-law Douglas Steele.
Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are son Roger (Martha) Peet; daughter Marilyn Clarke (friend Charles); brother Leonard Peet; sister Alma (Babs) Steele; sisters-in-law Laura Wells and Eva Poole; Patrick Clarke (Mary); very special long time family friend Elizabeth Pike; granddaughters: Jennifer Nakashima (Brian), and Deborah Peet; grandson Roger Peet Jr.; also several nieces, nephews, relatives and many friends, especially Bruce Neal, Sam Johnson, Rev. Calvin Evans, and his friends at Maplewood.
Resting at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue on Thursday and Friday from 10am-12noon, 2-4pm and 7-9pm, on Saturday from 10am-12noon. Funeral service to be held from Barrett’s Chapel on Saturday, May 25, 2002 at 2:00 p.m. Interment to follow at Mount Pleasant Cemetery. Flowers gratefully accepted or donations may be made to Wesley Church, V.O.W.R., or the Diabetes Association.

Elizabeth Parrell
February 13, 1948 - June 7, 2002

Passed peacefully away after a lengthy, courageous battle with Cancer at the Health Sciences Center on June 7, 2002, Elizabeth Rebecca Parrell, aged 54 years. Predeceased by her mother and father: Clifton and Mary Parrell; brother Clifton Parrell.
Leaving to mourn her two sons: John Hickey (Trish), and Christopher Hickey (Cindy); three brothers: Wayne Parrell (Ina), Greg Parrell, and Paul Parrell (Yvonne); three sisters: Phyllis Rose (William), Mary Downey (Paul), and Jacqueline Rees (Rolf); four nephews: Robbie Rose (Wanda), Jonathan Rose (Tracy), Steve Downey (Braun), and Jason Downey (Sue); nieces: Andrea Parrell, Megan Parrell, and Christen Parrell; two special nieces: Jennifer Williams (Charles), and Gillian Rose (fiancé Lewis Hussey); very special friend Trish Broklehurst; as well as many other relatives and friends.
Resting at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue, on Saturday from 2pm-10pm and Sunday from 10am-10pm. Funeral Mass to be held at 9:30 a.m. Monday, June 10, 2002 form Mary Queen of The World Parish, Mount Pearl. Interment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy flowers are gratefully accepted or donations in Elizabeth’s memory may be made to a charity of one's choice.

Millicent Gladys (nee Bishop) O'Neill

Passed peacefully away at St. Clare's Mercy Hospital on Tuesday, January 28th, 2003 after a brief illness, Millicent O'Neill, aged 74 years.
Predeceased by her parents Cecil and Lillian Bishop, brother Douglas Bishop and sister Frances Stokes, parents in law Lawrence and Johannah O'Neill, daughter in law Viola O'Neill. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories her husband of 53 years Lawrence Francis (Frank); 3 sons; Larry (Effie), Roger (Joyce), Darrell (Janice); Four daughters; Beverley Weatherby (Paul), Valerie Crewe (Graham), Sherrin (Francis Taylor), Jennifer Arkin (Robert); three grandchildren; Cathy, Bradley and Todd; one sister; Elizabeth Day (Harold); and a number of brothers in law, sisters in law, nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
Resting at Barrett's Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Ave. from 7-9 p.m. Wednesday, 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Thursday. Funeral Service 11 a.m. Friday, January 31st, 2003 from Barrett's Chapel. Cremation to follow.

Alice Maude Noel

Noel, Alice Maude - 93 years. Born January 27, 1910 at Safe Harbour, Bonavista Bay. Passed away at home on July 24, 2003.
Predeceased by husband Edmund R. Noel in 1994. Beloved mother of Sidney and his wife Carol Hargreaves of London, ON; Ida of St. John’s; Evelyn and husband Ronald Bisson of Ottawa, ON; Lloyd and wife Dianne Stephens of St. John’s. Also four grandchildren: Christopher and wife Amy McCarthy of Toronto, ON; Steven of Kingston, ON; Robert of London, ON; Justine and her children Jessica and Eric of Victoria, B.C.; also cousins, nieces and nephews.
Resting at Barrett’s Funeral Home from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. on Saturday, July 26 and from 2-4 p.m. on Sunday, July 27. Funeral Service 11 a.m. on Monday, July 28, 2003 from Barrett’s Chapel. Interment to follow in Mount Pleasant Cemetery. Flowers gratefully accepted or donations in her memory may be made to George Street United Church.

Passed peacefully away after a lengthy illness at the Hoyles-Escasoni Complex on Thursday, July 31, 2003, Valerie Jean Nicholls. Aged 70 years.
Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories her husband Stewart Nicholls; son Darryl (Della); daughter Natalie; sisters: Eleanor Simmons (Morgan-deceased), and Phyllis Holloway (Thomas); brother Graham Drover (Daphne); step sister Margaret Little, Sarasota, Florida; sister-in-law June Ponting, Newmarket, ON; also a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral service to be held from the Cathedral of St. John the Baptist on Saturday, August 2, 2003 at 2:00 p.m. Interment to follow at the Anglican Cemetery, Kenmount Road. Gabriel Frazer Moulton- Passed peacefully away on Friday, March 14, 2003, in his 83rd year at the Hoyles Escasoni Complex, Gabriel Moulton of Mt. Pearl (formerly of Burin) . Pre-deceased by his parents Sam and Rebecca; sister Irene and brother and sister-in-law Captain Don and Dorothy Moulton. Left to cherish his loving memory his wife Susan (Miles); sisters-in-law: Kay (George Brown), Blanche Miles and Ruby Miles-Bartlett; special niece Rhonda O’Connell and her children: Mitchell and Katie; nephews: Carl Moulton (Marion), Chris Brown (Jessie), Derek Miles, Perry Miles, and Ken Miles; nieces: Peggy Martinson (Eric), Kim Williams, Susan Penny (Marshall), Lisa Gartner (Brian), Saundra Dewling (Richard); also grand-nieces and nephews and a wide circle of friends including special friends: Ed and Ruby Hunt and Lloyd and Claudette Brown.
