GROVES, Esther Josephine - passed away peacefully at the Holyes-Escasoni Complex on August 5, 2003 in her 88th year, Esther Josephine Groves. Predeceased by husband George James Groves (1979), son Stephen Groves (1942). Left with fond memories are sons George (Irene), Celestine (Patricia), Robert Alexander (Sharon), Kenneth (Penny); daughters Ina (Robert Byrne), Veronica (Patrick Walsh), Ruth (Pierre Rivard), Bertha Ellis, Marilyn (Edward Rumsey), Ann-Marie (Skip Hurley), Esther (James Scoville). Also left to mourn 31 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild and a large circle of other relatives and friends. Funeral mass will be held from St. Teresa`s Parish on Saturday, August 9, 2003 at 11:30 a.m. Visitation at Caul`s Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road, Thursday and Friday from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. Interment will be at the Anglican cemetery, Forest Road. CAREW, William Alphonse - Passed peacefully away at the Leonard A. Miller Centre, Palliative Care Unit on Monday, January 27, 2003, after a short, but courageous battle with cancer, William Alphonse Carew, age 67 years. Leaving to mourn with loving memories his wife Geraldine; children: Kenneth (Marguerite), David and Verna (David Burkinshaw); five dearly loved grandchildren: Meghan, Mark, Matthew, Melanie and James; sisters: Aneitha Sheaves and Selena Parsons; brothers: Frank (Mary) and Eric (Sylvia), and many other relatives and friends. Cremation has taken place. In accordance with his wishes, a private family service in celebration of his life will be held at the Carnell Memorial Chapel, 329 Freshwater Road.
