GILLETT, Geoffrey L.M. - (1926 - 2002). Passed peacefully away on December 15, 2002 at the Health Sciences Centre. Predeceased by his parents Frederick and Cynthia and brother Gerald. Leaving to mourn his wife, Antonia (nee Hutton); children: Elizabeth, Frederick (Stephan), Moya, Sean (Linda) and Sheila; nine grandchildren; sister Jeanne Alliban. At Geoffrey`s request cremation has taken place. A memorial service will take place in Toronto at a later date. Donations in his memory may be made to the Parkinsons Foundation. PITTMAN, Edna - Passed peacefully away at the Carbonear General Hospital on December 14th, 2002, Edna Pittman, age 76 years. Predeceased by husband Chesley (1999), sister Florence Lambert (1998). A well known man for his many trips to Millertown, moose hunting. Predeceased by his loving wife Gertrude Whalen-Lawlor (nee Locke), May 1985. Leaving to mourn a loving and cherished daughter Joan Rodgers; special grandson Louis (Jean); 3 sons: Richard (Francis), Ned (Muriel) and Benedict (Carol), Haliburton, Ont.; stepdaughters: Bridget Coombs (Cyril), Trepassey, Mary Jones and Nora Sinclair (Eric), Clarenville; stepsons: Jim Whalen and Pat Whalen, Ontario; 32 grandchildren, a great number of great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren; 3 sisters: Madonna Druken, Bernadette Druken (Sylvester) and Jean Lynch; also a number of nieces and nephews; as well as the staff and friends of 2 North and 2 West at Escasoni; and a number of relatives and many friends of St. Thomas Line, Paradise. Passed peacefully away at St. Luke`s Home on Tuesday, January 28, 2003, in the presence of her loving family, Ruth Mary (Rowe) Bambrick of St. John`s at the age of 85 years - a precious mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, wife and friend. Predeceased by her husband, Cyril J. Bambrick (1992), taxi driver and owner of Terra Nova Taxi; her father, Henry Rowe (1946); her mother, Emily Rowe (1957); her sister, Linda Green (1994); her brothers: Harry Tavenor (circa 1949), Bill Rowe (1984) and Frederick Tavenor (1986).
