KAIZER, Ettie Louise - 91, Gold River, Lunenburg Co., died December 25, 1999, in South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater. Born in Gold River, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Janet (Zwicker) DeMont. She was a member of St. Mary's Anglican Church, Gold River. Surviving are daughters, Carolyn Hatt and husband Wilfred, Gold River; Dorothy McAuley, Marriotts Cove; sons, Willis Haley and wife Mae, Gold River; Marshall Haley and wife Carol, Ross and wife Sylvia, Sharon and wife Sheila, all of Chester Basin; sisters, Marg Mosher, Western Shore; Vina Lantz, Gold River; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Floyd Kaizer; daughters, Joyce Haley, Becky Haley; sons, Robert Haley, James Haley; grandsons, Rickey Hatt, Kenneth McAuley; granddaughter, Susan McAuley; great-granddaughter, Marcy Sawler. Visitation 7-9 p.m. today, in Mahone Funeral Home, 32 Parish St., Mahone Bay. Funeral 11 a.m. Tuesday, in St. Mary's Anglican Church, Rev. Michael Mitchell officiating. Burial in Western Shore Cemetery, Western Shore. Donations to St. Mary's Anglican Church, Children's Wish Foundation or Canadian Cancer Society.

SCHMEISSER, Everett Robert
SCHMEISSER, Everett Robert - 90, Bridgewater, passed away peacefully on December 24, 1999, in the South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater. Born in East LaHave, he was a son of the late Robert and Anne Schmeisser. He was a member of St. Pauls Lutheran Church, Bridgewater and a life member of Poyntz No. 44 AF&AM Masonic Lodge, Hantsport. He retired from DND with over 25 years of service. He served as a merchant marine during the Second World War. He enjoyed 27 years of winter retirement in Florida with his loving wife of 58 years. He is survived by his loving wife, Evelyn Victoria (Colp); daughter, Nancy (Reg) MacMillan, Hantsport; son, Robert (Barbara), Halifax; grandchildren, Heather MacMillan (husband Marcel Hardy), Katherine (Ian) Spence, Windsor; Susan (Earl) Curran, Prince Edward Island; Scott Schmeisser, Montreal; Shaun Schmeisser, Halifax; great-grandchildren, Emma and Ryleigh Spence and Ryan Curran; sister, Laura Ritcy, Blockhouse. He was predeceased by brothers, Roseville, Norman, Harold and Arnold. There will be no visitation in the funeral home. A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, in St. Pauls Lutheran Church, Bridgewater, Rev. James Slack Jr. officiating. Interment of ashes will take place at a later date. Donations may be made to St. Pauls Lutheran Church or any charity. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Sweeny's Funeral Home, Bridgewater.

CONRAD, Capt. Norman Lemuel
CONRAD, Capt. Norman Lemuel - 95, Harbour View Haven Home for Special Care, Lunenburg, formerly of Middle LaHave, died February 8, 1999, in the home. Born in Rose Bay, he was a son of the late Isaac Lemuel and Mary Ella (Conrad) Conrad. He went to sea in his earlier years and later was employed as a harbour pilot in Halifax until his retirement in 1969. After his retirement, he and his wife moved from Halifax to reside in Middle LaHave. He was a member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church, Middle LaHave, and former member of the church council and member of the IOOF Lodge, Riverport. Surviving are his wife, the former Eileen Wright, Middle LaHave: daughter, Nancy (Mrs. Benny Tanner), Middle LaHave; sons, Robert R. Conrad, Hammonds Plains; David E. Conrad, Halifax: stepsons, Robert R. Boulton, Halifax; David E. Boulton, Sackville; sister, Nina (Mrs. Philip Ritcey), Saint John, N.B.; brother, Albert Conrad, First South; 7 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his first wife, the former Pearl Mae Ritcey; daughter, Irene Falkenham; brothers, Lawrence, Clyde, Leaman, Purvis; sisters, Daisy, Margaret. Visitation 7-9 p.m. Wednesday in Dana L. Sweeny Funeral Home, Lunenburg. Funeral 2 p.m. Thursday in St. Mark's Lutheran Church, Middle LaHave, Rev. Willis Ott officiating. Burial in Shepherds Hill Cemetery, Riverport. In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Mark's Lutheran Church, Middle LaHave; St. Matthew's Lutheran Church, Rose Bay, or any charity.

SMITH, Marion Loretta
SMITH, Marion Loretta - 85, 209 Morash Lane, Lunenburg, passed away February 16, 2000, at home. Born in First South, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Arlean (Zinck) Conrad. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Lunenburg and a member of Royal Canadian Legion Branch 23, Lunenburg. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She is survived by her daughter, Anna (Mrs. Bernard Hannam), Lunenburg; grandchildren, Gerald, Bridget, Brenda, Brian and Michael; six great-granddaughters. She was predeceased by her husband, Gerald; brothers, Collon, Ray; sister, Lucille, a sister in infancy; and a half-sister, Marguerite. Visitation was held in Dana L. Sweeny Funeral Home, 11213, Hwy. 3, Lunenburg. Funeral service will be held 11 a.m. today, in Zion Lutheran Church, Lunenburg, Rev. Douglas Moore officiating. Interment will be in Hillcrest Cemetery, Lunenburg. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association, The Arthritis Society or Zion Lutheran Church.

HEBB, Albert Melbourne - 87, Midville Branch, Lunenburg Co., died January 15, 2000, in the South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater. Born in Midville Branch, he was a son of the late Archibald and Alice (Rhodenizer) Hebb. He was a farmer all his working life. He was a member of the Lutheran Church. Surviving are son, Freeman, Middlefield, Queens Co.; sisters, Maude Wile, Lilly Jarvis, Midville Branch; Lois Young, Branch LaHave; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by brothers, Freeman, Arthur, Parker; sister, Ellen. Visitation 2-4, 7-9 p.m. today, funeral 2 p.m. Tuesday, Rev. William Gustafson officiating, both in R. A. JOHANSEN, Per Isak - 77, Kagero, Norway, formerly of Bridgewater, died January 31, 1998, at home. Born in Kagero, he was the son of the late Peder and Birgit Johansen. He was a veteran of the Second World War. Surviving are his wife, Jennie, Kagero; daughters, Sonja (Mrs. Theodore Deal), Judy (Mrs. James Leneten), Bridgewater; son, Peter, Bridgewater; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two brothers and five sisters. He was predeceased by three sisters. Funeral 2 p.m. Wednesday in Kagero.

CONRAD, Edith Lucy - 102, died January 29, 1998, in Willow Manor, Dania, Fla. Formerly of Cherry Hill, she was a daughter of the late William and Eleanor (Kaulback) Conrad. Surviving are adopted daughter, Janis (Mrs. Malcolm Banfield), Lower Sackville; sister, Mary Lohnes, Northwood Centre, Halifax; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by brothers, Morris, Hilary, Stanley; sister, Rhonda. Committal service was held in St. Mary's Anglican Cemetery, Crousetown, Rev. Michael Hawkins officiated. Arrangements entrusted to Sweeny's Funeral Home, Bridgewater.

VEINOT, Beulah Mae - 75, Bridgewater, passed away April 23, 1999, in South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater. Born in New Elm, she was a daughter of the late Gilbert and Amanda (Weagle) Fancy. She is survived by her husband, Curtis; sons, Lorne and wife Marilyn, Blaine and wife Elizabeth; grandsons, Craig and Brett, all of Bridgewater. She was predeceased by sister, Irene Veinot; brothers, Ray and Earl Fancy. Visitation will be 7-9 p.m. today, funeral service 2 p.m. Tuesday, both in Sweeny's Funeral Chapel, Bridgewater, Lic. McBRIDE, John
McBRIDE, John - Died on his birthday, April 25, 2000, at the age of 91, in the Fisherman's Memorial Hospital, Lunenburg. He resided in Bridgewater for the past 21 years. He was born in Ardroson, Scotland, and he and his family immigrated to Montreal, Que., when he was 15 years of age. John is the son of the late Daniel and Janet McMillan (McBride). John is survived by his wife, Helen McBride (Balser); his son, William A. McBride, wife Jane and grandchildren, Ryan McBride, wife Ambree and Dawn, Erin and Tara, Salt Lake Utah. John was predeceased by sisters, Claire Leroux, Jenny McWilliam, Betty Woods and brothers, William and Donald McBride. Visitation will be held 7-9 p.m. Friday in Sweeny's Funeral Home, Bridgewater. Funeral service will be held Saturday, April 29, at 2:30 p.m. in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 337 Aberdeen Rd., Bridgewater, Bishop Seymour Herbert officiating. Burial will follow in the Pine Grove Cemetery. Donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Nova Scotia.

RHODENIZER, Neil Cornelius - The death of Neil Cornelius Rhodenizer, Saint John, N.B., formerly of Bridgewater, husband of the late Irene (Wile) Rhodenizer and son of the late Roland and Lina (Robart) Rhodenizer, Dayspring, occurred Tuesday, August 24, 1998, in Kennebec Manor Nursing Home, Saint John. Neil is survived by daughters, Suzanne (Mrs. Darryl Goyetche), Saint John; Sharon (Mrs. Arnold Rhyno), Lynche River, Richmond Co.; brother, Sanford Rhodenizer, Dayspring; sisters, Nedra (Mrs. Arnold Marshall), Digby; Mrs. Nita Crowe, Bridgewater; beloved grandchildren, Christopher and Julie (Mrs. Peter Rosvall) and several cousins, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by several brothers and sisters. Resting at Sweeny's Funeral Home, Bridgewater, today, August 26, from 2-4, 7-9 p.m. A graveside service will be held Thursday, August 27, at 2 p.m. in Dayspring Cemetery, Bridgewater. Remembrances to Kennebec Manor transportation fund would be appreciated by the family.

Stephen Whynot), Liverpool; son, Stephen, Liverpool; sisters, Pearl Heeney, Barbara O'Leary, Liverpool; brothers, Douglas Jollimore, Castlegar, B.C.; Edward and Jack Orme, Liverpool; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Freeland; sister, Ruth; brother, Maurice. Visitation 2-4, 7-9 p.m. today, funeral 3 p.m. Thursday, both in Chandlers' Funeral Home, Liverpool, Rev.
