Doris Marie Pope
POPE, Doris Marie - 73, Halifax, died Thursday, January 30, 2003, in the VG Site, QEII. Born in Chatham, N.B., she was a daughter of the late Archibald and Mary Cameron.
She is survived by daughters, Kenna Jean Davison (Charles), Sandra Pope-Taylor (Rod); son, Kevin; sisters, Lillian Elechko, Muriel Merritt; grandchildren, Patrick and Christine Davison; great-grandson, Ariel Pepin-Davison; several nieces, nephews.
She was predeceased by her loving husband, Kenneth James Pope (Saturday, November 16, 2002); brothers, George, Harold, Allan and Archie Cameron; sisters, Frances Cossaboom, Dorothy Trevors.
Cremation has taken place. Funeral service 11 a.m. Monday, February 3, in St. Mark's Anglican Church, Halifax, (Russell and Gottingen), Cannon Sue Moxley officiating. Reception to follow in the church hall.

Ella Louise Brackett
BRACKETT, Ella Louise - 87, Herring Cove, passed away peacefully Tuesday evening, January 29, 2003, after eight years residence in the former Fairview Villa (now Maplestone), Halifax. Born in Halifax, she was a daughter of the late Juliette (Gagnon) and Amadee Fougere (originally from Arichat and Poulamon, respectively, Isle Madame).
Ella was the first child in the family to be born in Halifax. She was an avid bridge player and will be sorely missed by her close group of friends and fellow bridge players. She was famous within the family for her extremely light hand with pie pastry and had a standing order from her mother-in-law, Mary Rose Brackett, for a pie during Mary's days at her summer cottage next door. Ella was a faithful member of St. Paul's Roman Catholic Church, Herring Cove and for eight years resided in Margaret Latter Manor in Herring Cove.
Surviving are her daughters, Marilyn Graves, Halifax; Judy MacIntyre, Herring Cove; sons, Paul, Dartmouth; Dennis, Abbotsford, B.C.; Andrew, Herring Cove; Gerry, Martock; grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sisters, Isobel Streit, Bellport, N.Y.; Ina Richard, Prospect Bay; Jean Anderson, St. Petersburg, Fla.; brothers, Alfred and Eddie Fougere, Florida; Steve Fougere, Bedford; Leo Fougere, Moncton; various nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband, John Andrew Brackett; brothers, Arthur, Clement and Fred Fougere; sisters, Irene and Germaine Fougere, Estelle "Bunny" Horne, Mary Fougere.
Visitation will be 2-4, 7-9 p.m. today in Atlantic Funeral Home, 6552 Bayers Rd., Halifax. Funeral mass will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, February 1, in St. Paul's Roman Catholic Church, Herring Cove, Father Terry O'Toole celebrating the mass. Burial in St. Paul's Cemetery, Herring Cove, at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Nova Scotia or Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia.
Robert Enos Henry Boutilier
BOUTILIER, Robert Enos Henry - 37, Beaver Bank, passed away January 28, 2003, in Cobequid Multi Service Centre. Born in Halifax, he was a son of William (Shirley) and Christina (Gordie) (Malay) Boutilier.
He enjoyed ATV's. He was a volunteer at the Burn Camp with his son every summer. He was a loving husband and father.
Surviving are his loving wife, the former Linda Jollimore; daughter, Leah; son, Brandon, both at home; brother, Brian Malay; sisters, Diana, Dartmouth; Terri, Beaver Bank; Tanya (Dougie) Ernst, Bridgewater; Chrissie (Steve) Andrews, Dartmouth.
He was predeceased by maternal grandparents, Enos and Leone (Russell) Malay; sisters, Dawn and Deborah.
Visiting 2-4, 7-9 p.m. today in Atlantic Funeral Home, 125 Sackville Dr. Funeral service 1 p.m. Friday in Knox United Church, Rev. Robert Chapman officiating. Burial in Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
Lorraine Cecelia Nickerson
NICKERSON, Lorraine Cecelia - 64, Lower Sackville, passed away January 27, 2003, at home. Born in Halifax, she was a daughter of the late Thomas and Kathleen (Boutilier) Barrett. She was a member of St. John Vianney Roman Catholic Church.
She was a beloved mother and grandmother. She enjoyed wrestling and baseball, especially the Blue Jays. Lorraine was raised in St. Joseph Orphanage.
Surviving are daughters, Nancy (Joseph) Greene, Windsor; Cheryl (Donnie) Greenough, Lower Sackville; Donna Ryan, Windsor; Margaret Ryan, Dartmouth; Karen (George) King, Dartmouth; sons, Jamie Nickerson, Dartmouth; Leslie (Glenna) Nickerson, Yarmouth; Lawrence (Sharon) Nickerson, Halifax; Corey (Diana) Nickerson, Sydney; brothers, Raymond, Ontario; Kenneth "Ken" (Margaret), Lower Sackville; Keith (Pat), Lower Sackville; Jim (Lynda), Bridgewater; Wayne, Fall River; sisters, Ada (Fred) Croke, Lower Sackville; Jean, Dartmouth; Donna (John) Lane, Waverley; 19 grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband, Lyman; daughter, Anne Marie; brother, Bill; several brothers and sisters.
Cremation has taken place. Visitation 2-4, 7-9 p.m. today in Atlantic Funeral Home, 125 Sackville Dr., Lower Sackville. Memorial service 10 a.m. Thursday in St. John Vianney Roman Catholic Church. A reception to follow in the church hall. Burial in Oakridge Memory Gardens, Lower Sackville.

Abraham John "Jack" Dodge
DODGE, Abraham John "Jack" - 79, Halifax, died January 27, 2003, in the New Halifax Infirmary, QEII. Born in Belleoram, NL, he was a son of the late John and Urusula (Savoury) Dodge.
He was retired from National Sea.
Surviving are daughter, Phoebe Duban, Edmonton; sons, David and John, both of Kentville; several grandchildren; sisters, Phoebe Keefe, Ecum Secum; Alice Leights, Bedford; Margaret Canning, Halifax; brothers, Harold, Halifax; Frank, Belleoram, NL; several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by sister, Vera.
Cremation has taken place. Memorial service 11 a.m. Thursday, January 30, in Halifax Regional Crematorium, 1078 Old Sackville Rd., Lower Sackville.

Lillian Isobel Zwicker
ZWICKER, Lillian Isobel - Halifax, passed away January 25, 2003 in the VG Site, QEII, Halifax. Born in Halifax, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Mary (Meikle) Paterson.
She was a lifetime member of Calvin Presbyterian Church, and was an active member of the Ladies Guild.
She is survived by daughter, Lynne Nicoll, Dartmouth; sons, Robert (Karen), Brian, all of Halifax; granddaughter, Vickie; grandson, Sean.
She was predeceased by her husband, Roderick "Rod"; brother, Robert "Bobbie".
Visitation will be 5-9 p.m. today, funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, both in Atlantic Funeral Home, 6552 Bayers Rd., Halifax, Rev. Sydney McDonald officiating. A reception will follow in the funeral home. Burial to follow in Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
