Donald Gerald Crouse
Crouse, Donald Gerald - 70, Baker Settlement, Lunenburg County, passed away peacefully in his sleep on September 7, 2005 at home. Born in East Clifford, he was a son of the Late Lloyd and Thelma (Beck) Crouse. Donald was a businessman prior to his illness. He was the owner and operator of Don’s Auto Body and previously in partnership of Ross and Don’s Auto Body in Baker Settlement. Donald’s charm and wonderfully funny personality always ensured many friends and family would stop by the garage and house just to enjoy his company. He enjoyed playing cards, darts and crokinole. He enjoyed golfing and curling and was a member of both clubs in Bridgewater. Donald was a natural handyman. He built many houses and you could always count on him to be able to build, fix or repair almost anything. He enjoyed going to his cabin he built on Molega Lake and you could always hear him whistling and joking as he worked on his land. Since his illness began over a decade ago, he was cared for at home by Margaret who devoted all her time to his needs. He will be greatly missed by many. Surviving are his wife of 46 years, the former Margaret Oickle; Sons Wade (Wanda), Baker Settlement, Trevor, Monk Rd., Jeff, Baker Settlement; daughters Cheryl Meisner (Mitchell), Monk Rd., Lou-Wana Whynot (Eric), Bridgewater; Brothers Brian, Larry (Brenda); sisters Shirley (Gerald) Crouse, Jean Aulenback, Donna (Tony) Norwood; Granddaughters April Thompson (Charles), Dartmouth, Kellie Meisner, Hannah and Cicely, all of the Monk Rd.; Grandsons Kerrie and Korrie, Monk Rd.; great-grandson Dakota, Dartmouth. Predeceased by son Timothy; sister Glenice Bolivar.

Florence Lillian Crouse
Crouse, Florence Lillian - 78, of Cherryfield, Annapolis County, died September 16, 2005 in South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater. Born in Cherryfield, she was a daugher of the late Twining and Alice (Sarty) Crouse. She was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church, Bridgewater. Surviving are her sisters Elsie C. Conrad, Cherryfield, Beulah E. Hendrick, Michigan USA; Nephews Harley Conrad, Broadcove, Brad and Danny Hendrick, Michigan, David Hendrick, Africa, Kyle Conrad, Broadcove; Niece Candace Conrad, Broadcove. She was predeceased by her sister Helen Crouse.
Visitation 2-4 and 7-9pm Sunday, funeral service 2:00pm Monday, both in R.A. Corkum Funeral Home, Wileville. Pastor Glendon Corkum Officiating. Burial in Barss Corner Community Cemetery. Kenneth B. Zwicker
Zwicker, Kenneth B. - 80, Wileville, Lunenburg County, passed away Thursday September 15 at Glades Lodge Nursing Home, Halifax. Born in Lapland, he was a son of the Late Byron and Gladys (Bolivar) Zwicker. He owned and operated a Lumbering Operation in Wileville for 25 years, until his retirement due to ill health. Surviving are his sister Marjorie (Arthur) MacKenzie, Liverpool; two Nieces and two Nephews. He was predeceased by his sister Marion Spicer.
Cremation has taken place under the direction of the R.A. Corkum Funeral Home, Wileville. There will be no visitation at the Funeral Home. Graveside Memorial Service 2:00pm Tuesday in Green Haven Cemetery, Lapland. Reverend Lloyd Gillieo Officiating. Family flowers only. DIES AT AGE 101
Boudreau - Lillian - Gladys - 101 of Bridgewater, Lunenburg County, died September 25, 2005 in MaHone Nursing Home, MaHone Bay.
Born in Dartmouth she was the daughter of the late Captain Ronald and Emma (Myers) Blakeney. She is the last surviving member of her immediate family. She was a life member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 24 Ladies Auxiliary, Bridgewater, past President of the Ladies Auxiliary Branch 61, DELTA BC, a life member of the South Shore Regional Hospital Auxiliary, a member of Bridgewater Seniors Citizens Club, The Veterans Association, St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Bridgewater and the Eastside Church Group. She was a survivor of the Halifax Explosion.
She is survived by daughters Marjorie Dillman, Dartmouth, Jean (Silvin) Rafuse; Dowling, Ontario, Alma Evans and Faye Veinot, Bridgewater; step-children, neices, nephews, grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. Predeceased by husbands Percy Wile (1939) and Mansfield Boudreau (1973); brothers Ernest and Roy; sisters Lena, Ella, Hazel, Bernice and Amy; grandsons Kenneth and Joey Veinot; son-in-laws Arnold Veinot, Boyde Evans and Gordon Pollock.

Clara Hue
Hue - Clara - 92 of Bridgewater, Lunenburg County passed away peacefully surrounded by family September 26, 2005 in Fisherman’s Memorial Hospital, Lunenburg. Born in Halifax she was the daughter of the late Jonathan and Amanda (Drysdale) Chandler. Clara was very active in the community for many years. She was a volunteer at the Dawson Memorial Hospital in Bridgewater. A member of the Bridgewater United Church Women’s group, a Sunday school teacher and Explorer leader. She enjoyed her card games with her many friends, especially her bridge group. Her family was her main focus and light of her life. She will be greatly missed and always remembered with love and fond memories. She is survived by son Wilbert (Bill) Hue and his companion Karen, Wolfville; daughter Nancy (Jim) Whynot, Bridgewater; sister Lillian Hales, Halifax; brother John Chandler, Kentville; beloved grandchildren Michele, Vancouver, Andrea (Robbie) Inness, Bridgewater, Natalie Whynot, Newcastle, Australia, Christopher Whynot, St. Mary’s University, Halifax; special great grandchildren Olivia and Nate. Predeceased by husband Reginald; sisters Gertrude, Ruby, Freda; brother Bill.

Born in Bangor, USA, he was a son of the late Lenus and Leona (McLaughlin) Rioux.
Surviving are his wife the former Kathryn Ling. Sons Darrell Ling, Bridgewater, James Jr. (Common-law-wife Krista Rafuse) Auburndale, Dustin (Karen Anderson), Truro, Christopher, New Germany; brothers John (Maggie) Quebec; Tom (Sue) Ontario; Frances ( Sue Ann) N.W.T. Dale(Cathy)Ontario; sister Camilla(Fred)Ashley, Saskatchewan. Grandchildren Angelica, Isaac and Isabelle.

Richards, Elmer Leon - 76 of Pleasantville, Lunenburg County, died July 18, 2004 in Camp Hill Veteran’s Memorial Building, Halifax.
Born in Pleasantville, he was a son of the Late Calder and Gladys (Haughan) Richards.
His life long love of the sea was spent in the fishing industry and retired as Chief Engineer. He was a Merchant Navy Veteran during World War II, spending most of his adult life at sea.
Surviving are his wife, the former Carol Hutchins; daughters Shar (Clarence) Herman, Lake Centre, Suzanne, Bricton, NS; sons Brian (Theresa) Pleasantville, James (Susan) Branch LaHave, Michael, Bridgewater; brothers Clifton (Lillian) Havre Boucher, Ralph (Margaret) Halifax, Eldred (Joan) Pleasantville; sisters Vera (Lee) Baker, Pleasantville, Norma (Gerald) Seaboyer, LaHave; grandchildren Colin, Tyler, Paul, Becky and Catlin, step-grandchild Charlene; numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by brother Russell.

Born in Lapland, he was a son of the Late Enoch and Blanche (Whynot) Zwicker.
Surviving are his wife, the former Diane Langille; children Wendy (Gary) Feindle, Liverpool, Charles Zwicker, Bridgewater, Trudy (Derrick) Langille, Pleasantville, Jeannette (Peter) Jefferson, Hebbville; step children Dwayne (Sharon) Whynot, Middlewood, JoAnn Robar, Bridgewater, Micky Whynot, Halifax; sisters Rhoda Dauphinee, Ann (Sherman) Tanner, all of Bridgewater, Doris (Walter) Perry, Lapland; grandchildren Ryan, Ashley, Aaron, Kayla, Mallory, Channelle; step grandchildren Garret, Jamie, Cameron; numerous nieces and nephews. He was a member of St. Matthew’s Presbyterian Church, Conquerall Mills. He was retired from C.N.R. after 25 years of service. He was a Veteran of the Second World War.
