Morris David Robinson
ROBINSON, Morris David "Moe" - 69, Halifax, passed away peacefully Thursday, July 4, 2002, in the New Halifax Infirmary, QEII. Born February 2, 1933, in Halifax, he was a son of the late William and Edna (Hurshman) Robinson.
Moe worked for DND for 43 years, at Base Supply CFB Halifax and retired on December 31, 1992. He loved to play darts and played with the Civic Workers Club, City League and Tri-Service in Windsor Park. He used to pitch baseball on the Halifax Commons and kept a watchful eye on his favourite team, the Toronto Blue Jays. He loved to play his accordion and his musical talents will be missed by all.
Moe is survived by his daughter, Marilyn Dumas, Lower Sackville; companion of many years, Bella, New Brunswick; stepdaughter, Chrystal Allen, Lower Sackville; sisters, Pearl Worthen and Hazel Kidston, Lower Sackville; Ada Lowe and Florence Bradley, Halifax; grandchildren, Angela, Joshua, Jacob; many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by sisters, Marjorie Pottie and Lottie Landry; brothers, Gerald, Robert. Cremation has taken place.
His remains will rest in Atlantic Funeral Home, 6552 Bayers Rd., Halifax, with visitation 2-4, 7-9 p.m. Sunday, where the funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Monday, July 8. Interment in St. John's Cemetery, 3950 Kempt Rd., Halifax. Reception for family and friends in Atlantic Funeral Home Family Reception Centre following the interment. Antonio Arriola Sr. Inciong
INCIONG, Antonio Arriola Sr. - 79, Halifax, passed away peacefully Saturday, July 6, 2002, in the VG Site, QEII. Born October 30, 1922, in Balayan, Philippines, he was a son of the late Sotero and Maria (Arriola) Inciong.
He participated in the Young at Heart Day Program, sponsored by and held at Northwood Centre. He enjoyed cooking, gardening and raising love birds.
Antonio is survived by his children, Zenaida (Dan) Aquino, Antonio Jr. (Ofelia), Erlinda (Tito) Platon, Ernesta (Toto) Ulalia, Carmencita (Arman) Febre, Imelda Montinola, Amelita (Abel) Herrera; brother, David (Josefina) Inciong; grandchildren, Mithi, Mutya and Mayumi Aquino, Rommel Inciong, Erick and Elaine Platon, Charito and Anthony Ulalia, Emmylou, Abigail and Christine Febre, Pamela Ann and Juan Antonio Montinola, Ivan Jr., Golda and Martin Herrera; great-grandchildren, Awyy and Miggy Ticzon, Pierre Angelo Umali; several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his wife, the former Gloria Magsumbol Viray.
His remains are resting in Atlantic Funeral Home, 6552 Bayers Rd., Halifax, with visitation 4-9 p.m. today. Funeral mass will be 2 p.m. Tuesday in St. Lawrence Roman Catholic Church, 3473 Dutch Village Rd., Halifax, Father Owen Connolly officiating. Reception for family and friends in Atlantic Funeral Home Family Reception Centre following the mass. Mr. Inciong will be transferred to the Philippines for visitation, funeral and interment.
Douglas John Blundon
BLUNDON, Douglas John "Doug" - 41, Westphal, died Saturday, July 6, 2002. Born April 28, 1961, in Halifax, he was a son of Charles and Margaret (Dawn) Blundon, Lawrencetown, Halifax Co.
Doug worked at Drug Dependency for a number of years and was currently employed at CFB Stadacona.
He is survived by sons, Douglas, Cole Harbour; MacKenzie, Dartmouth; sister, Sandra Cunningham (Ron), Cole Harbour; brother, Tom (Joan), Lake Echo; many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by brother, John in infancy; maternal grandparents, Edward and Audrey Dawn; paternal grandparents, Hezekiah and Elizabeth Blundon.
His remains are resting in Atlantic Funeral Home, 771 Main St., Dartmouth, with visitation 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday, and where funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday, Rev. Patricia Malin officiating. Reception in Atlantic Funeral Home Reception Centre immediately following the service. Cremation will follow with a private family interment at a later date. Adam Nathan Hogg
HOGG, Adam Nathan - 21, Cole Harbour, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, on Wednesday, July 3, 2002, after a brief but courageous battle.
Adam was a lifelong resident of Cole Harbour and was greatly interested in all sports. He particularly loved playing baseball, golf and skydiving. He had a vibrant sense of humour that brought joy to his friends and family. He graduated from Cole Harbour High School (French Immersion) and was currently attending St. Mary's University, completing a degree in computer science. His high grade point average had earned him a scholarship for the 2002-03 year and he was also on the Dean's list.
Adam is survived by his loving parents, William Donald and Marilyn Theresa (Spence) Hogg; beloved brothers, Matthew Ryan, Christopher Ian, Cory Alexander; maternal grandparents, Ross and Rita Spence; paternal grandmother, Kathleen Lenora (Hogg) Silvester; many aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was predeceased by paternal grandfather, Arthur D. Hogg. Cremation has taken place.
His remains are resting in Atlantic Funeral Home, 771 Main St., Dartmouth with visitation 2-4, 7-9 p.m. today, where the funeral service will be held 10 a.m. Saturday. Rita Irene Stewart (Conrad)
STEWART (Conrad), Rita Irene - 64, Williamswood, passed away peacefully Wednesday, July 3, 2002, at home. Born in Halifax, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Grace (Churchill) Conrad.
Rita is survived by her loving husband, Lewis; daughters, Brenda Nicholson (Garnet), Kathleen Cameron (Mike), Juanita Dwyer (John); son, Lewis (Cheryl); granddaughters, Tracy, Ashley, Kelly, Erin; grandsons, Daryl, John, Jeremy, Darin; sisters, Jean Clark, Halifax; Margaret Perkins (Arthur), England; brothers, Leo (Joyce), Halifax; Roy, British Columbia.
She was predeceased by her grandson, Charles Cameron in infancy. She will be greatly missed by her special pet, Missy.
Cremation has taken place under the direction of Atlantic Funeral Home, 6552 Bayers Rd., Halifax. No flowers. Dorothy P. Burfitt
BURFITT, Dorothy P. - 79, Dartmouth, passed away peacefully Wednesday, July 3, 2002, at home, with her family by her side. Born March 15, 1923, in Halifax, she was a daughter of the late Roderick and Nora (Ryan) MacDonald.
She enjoyed making crafts including pottery, ceramics, knitting and sewing along with other things.
Dorothy is survived by her daughter, Patricia Burfitt, Dartmouth; sister, Marion West, Edmonton; several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband, Russell Gordon; son, John Murray; sisters, Margaret, Grace, Ida, Joyce; brothers, Hugh, William, Angus, Augustine.
Cremation has taken place under the direction of Atlantic Funeral Home, 6552 Bayers Rd., Halifax. A private family interment will be held in St. John's Cemetery.

Jennifer Marie Bowser
BOWSER, Jennifer Marie - 16, Halifax, passed away peacefully Wednesday, July 3, 2002, in IWK Health Centre, with her loving family at her side.
Jennifer had fought a long hard battle against MPS. We will always remember Jennifer for her chubby cheeks and warm smile.
Jennifer will be sorrowfully missed by her mom and dad, Barry and Shirley (Duffett) Bowser; brother, BJ; grandmothers, Eliza (Organ) Baker and Ada Bowser.
She was predeceased by her grandfathers, Douglas Duffett, Gerald Bowser and Ervine Baker.
