Passed away, on Wednesday, Jan. 30, 2002, at Cambridge Memorial Hospital, in her 88th year. Anne was the beloved wife of the late John Johnson (1998) and dear mother of the late Ralph John Johnson (1963). Anne is survived by her brother, Edward Ast and his wife Mabel, as well as a niece and nephews in Saskatchewan. Anne was born and raised in Fort Qu'Appelle District of Saskatchewan. Her parents were Frank and Mary Ast. It was in Saskatchewan where Anne met her husband John, who came to work on their farm. They moved to Preston in the early 1940šs. For many years they lived on Moore St,, then Peteršs Place, then finally Golden Years Retirement Lodge. Anne loved life. She enjoyed going for walks, her church and playing cards. She was a very close friend of the Pisarchuk family. She will be dearly missed by Katie Pisarchuk, who considered Anne to be like a sister to her. Cremation has taken place. MILLS, Donald Frederick
Passed away, at Cambridge Memorial Hospital, on Wednesday, Jan. 30, 2002, at the age of 71. Loving husband of Colleen Mills (nee Shaw); beloved father of Scott and his wife Lina of Stoney Creek, Brad and his wife Gloria, Dean and his wife Terri, all of Cambridge and Linda Halls and her husband Pat of Calgary, Alta. Donald will be especially missed by his grandchildren, Don, Brad, Hazel, Megan, Brandon and Janessa. He is survived by his mother, Alice Edgar (Mills); brother, Ray Mills and sister, Joyce Spring and their families, all of Cambridge. Predeceased by his father, Herbert and stepfather, James Edgar. Don owned and operated Don Mills Garage in Galt for 30 years. Memorial visitation will be held at Corbett Funeral Home, 95 Dundas St., Cambridge, this evening (Thursday) 7-9 p.m. and Friday afternoon from 2 p.m. until the time of the service at 3 p.m. The family would like to offer their special thanks to the 5th Floor and ICU doctors and nurses and to Father Sherlock for their care and kindness. On Dec. 18, 2001, peacefully, at Pioneer Care Center, in her 91st year. Adoring wife of the late Joseph Percy Collingwood (1995). Ruby devoted her life to her family and grandchildren. Beloved mother of Sharon Johnston and her husband Gord of Paris, Gary Collingwood and his wife Karen of Maryhill, Melissa Wildfong and her husband Bob of Cambridge, Craig Collingwood and his wife Beryl of Ayr. Much loved by 13 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. Ruby is predeceased by one grandson, Adam (1979). Resting at the Corbett Funeral Home, 95 Dundas St., Cambridge where the family will receive friends today (Thursday) from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Friday, Dec. 21, 2001 at 2 p.m. at the Funeral Home Chapel with Father Bob Schroeder officiating. Peacefully, gone home to the Lord, at Cambridge Memorial Hospital, on December 19, 2001, in his 82nd year. Adriaan was a loving husband to Frances; beloved father to Adrian and his wife Cheryl of Winnipeg, Man., Simon and his wife Lea of Winnipeg, Man., Fred and his wife Peggy of Cambridge and Frances Zylstra and her husband Auke of Brantford. He was a cherished grandfather to Duane and his wife Debbie, Sherrie, Bradley and his wife Heather, Kenneth and his wife Sonya, Bob Lang and his wife Wendy, Michael, Ryan, Matthew, Amy and Laura, Adam Zylstra, Joshua and Sarah; cherished great-grandfather of Jessica, Angela, Riley, Vivian, Evan and Alexis Lang. Adriaan is survived by four brothers, as well as other family members in the Netherlands and Australia. Mr. Versluis will be resting at the Lounsbury Funeral Home, 1766 Franklin Blvd., Cambridge, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. on Friday. Mark was a second year student at Mohawk College, Hamilton, enrolled in Computer Software Engineering. He was a graduate of Southwood Secondary School. Peacefully, at St. Luke's Place, on October 23, 2001, in her 100th year. Dearly beloved wife of Edgar Rahn of Cambridge and Carol Shank and her husband Philip of Fort Wayne, Indiana and treasured grandsons, Daniel and Roger Shank and his wife Melinda and great-granddaughters, Olivia and Emme. Daughter of a Methodist minister, she lived in various Ontario communities and had many friends. She taught kindergarten in the Hamilton Public Schools. Her love for God, family and neighbours was seen in her faithful friendships and kindly acts. She worshipped and served At Wesley United Church, Elmira and First United Church, Cambridge. Funeral service will be held at little's Funeral home, 223 Main St. E. Cambridge at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 27. Friends will be received for one hour prior to the service. Lovingly remembered by his mother, Uita Kublek and two brothers, Charles and his wife Bea of Cambridge and Bert and his wife, Eleanor of Nova Scotia. Predeceased by his father, Ernest Kublek. He will be sadly missed by his niece, Wendy and nephews, Johnny, Kurt and Tyler. Mr. Kublek was born in Glace Bay, N.S. and had been a resident of Cambridge for the past 43 years. He was retired from Dana Canada, a member of St. Clement's RC Church and a life member of the Royal Canadian Legion Preston Branch 126.
