Dahms, Kathleen Alice (Kay)

Peacefully and with dignity at Leisureworld Caregiving Centre, Elmira on Ocotber 1, 2009 at the age of 95. Kathleen was born in Gotham, Ontario and was the daughter of the late Albert & Margaret (Fullerton) Hammond of Atwood. Daughter-in-law of the late Charles & Lucille (Attridge) Dahms of Milverton.
Survived by her children Eleanor & Arthur Schmidt of St. Jacobs and Murray & Claire Dahms of Wiarton. Remembered by grandchildren Brad & Trish Schmidt of Elora, Brian & Kim Schmidt of McKellar, Kimberly Dahms, Brent & Wendy Dahms all of Kitchener and great-grandchildren Gregory, Scott, Benjamin, Zachary, Simon and Xavier. Missed by sisters-in-law Helen Dahms of Kitchener, Kathleen & Bert Currie of Baden. Kathleen was predeceased her husband Gordon, son Donald in infancy, sister Ellen Hammond, sisters-in-law Muriel & Charlie Cudmore, Bernice & Oscar Schneuker, Winnifred & Delton Bast, Geraldine & Don Smith, Doreen & Ed Seguin, brothers-in-law George Dahms, Stan Dahms and Austin Fink. Kathleen was the last surviving member of her family.
A service to celebrate Kathleen’s life will be held on Monday October 5, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at the Mark Jutzi Funeral Home, 7 Spencer Street, Milverton where Rev. Mark Hartburg will officiate. Visitation will occur from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Interment to follow in Greenwood cemetery , Milverton with a reception to follow back at the funeral home. Anyone wishing to make a donation in memory of Kathleen may consider the Canadian Cancer Society.

Roth, Lloyd

Died: September 24, 2009
passed away on Tuesday September 29, 2009 at Stratford General Hospital. Lloyd resided in Milverton and was formerly of Newton. He was born 66 years ago in Mornington Township and was the son of the late Clarence & Alma (Leis) Roth.
Dear brother of Doris & husband Del Lichty of Millbank. Sadly missed by his nieces, Rhonda & Brian Mainland, Teresa & Mike Beitz, Heather & Dwayne Brubacher, nephew Dale & Sarah Lichty and his great nieces and great-nephews, Roslyn & Deanna Mainland, Ethan Beitz, Luke & Cole Brubacher, Carson & Jack Lichty. Lloyd was a member of Riverdale Mennonite Church, Millbank. He enjoyed watching sports and playing games with his many friends at Millwood Manor.

Waldie, Karl Heinz

Karl Heinz Waldie, of Milverton and formerly of Rostock, passed away at Stratford General Hospital on Tuesday, September 22, 2009.
Karl was born 77 years ago, a son of the late Frederick Waldie and former Mary Bieser.
Beloved husband of the late Mae Thelma Waldie (2006). Father of Larry and his wife Sandra Waldie of Rostock. Dear brother of Inge & Harvey Fleischauer of Stratford, Ruth Debus of Kitchener, Stan & Shirley Waldie of Mitchell and Elizabeth (Betty) de Boer of Guelph. Karl was predeceased by brothers-in-law Norman Debus and Bill de Boer.
Karl was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 565, Milverton and St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Moserville.
Visitation at the Mark Jutzi Funeral Home, 7 Spencer Street, Milverton on Thursday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will take place at the funeral home on Friday, September 25, 2009 at 11:00 am Pastor Art Hodgson officiating. Cremation to follow with inurnment in Greenwood cemetery.

Poole, Mabel

Mabel passed away peacefully at the age of 90 years surrounded by her family at Knollcrest Lodge in Milverton on September 10, 2009. She was born in Mornington township a daughter of the late Joseph and Leah (Kropf) Ropp. Mabel was a member of Poole Mennonite Church where she had been secretary of the sewing circle for many years and a member of the over 50 club. Mabel enjoyed flowers, playing games, knitting, tatting and crocheting as her hobbies.
Beloved wife of Lorne Poole whom she married August 18, 1940. They had farmed south of Poole for 40 years before retiring in Milverton in 1987. Loving mother of Wayne & his girlfriend Crystal of Milverton and Sandra McGaughey of Listowel. Dear grandmother of Kyra, T.J. & Samantha, Nathan & Nicole, Josh and Samantha. Special great-grandmother of Destiny, Tabitha & Katrina. Also remembered by son-in-law Bob McGaughey of Milverton. Mabel will be sadly missed by all family members. Mabel was predeceased by her brother Irvin and his wife Eleanor Ropp, her brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law William & Fanny Poole, Norman & Ruby Poole, John & Emma Poole, Clara & Gordon Schultz, Roy & Sylvia Poole and Emma & Elroy Schultz.

Maureen was born 88 years ago in Ellice Township, a daughter of the late Amos Brunk and former Mattie Nafziger and step daughter of the late Mary (Gerber). Maureen resided in Stratford and was formerly of R.R. # 1 Milverton.
Beloved wife of Harvey Zehr of Greenwood Court, Stratford with whom she shared almost 65 years of marriage. Loving mother of Ferne & her husband John Cottrelle of Regina, Saskatchewan, Laverne & his wife Betty Zehr, Ruth & her husband Kevin Mead, all of Stratford. Loving grandmother of Orenda & Francis Yuzicapi, Janice Cottrelle & Brian Greyeyes, Michele Zehr, Kelly Mead & Mike Ford, Christopher Mead & Angie Baty, and great-grandmother to Richard Francis Jr., Jacob, Jordan and Samuel.

Answering the Lord’s call, Leonard passed away peacefully at his home in Brunner with his faithful companion at his side on Saturday September 5, 2009, after graciously suffering Parkinson’s disease for the past 10 years.
Leonard was born 80 years ago in Mornington Township a son of the late Menno L. & Susan (Nafziger) Jantzi. He had farmed on the home farm at RR#1 Brunner prior to his retirement. Leonard was a member of Fellowship Haven Amish Mennonite Church, Monkton. He was ordained on May 17, 1970 to the ministry and served in the Mornington, Fairhaven and Fellowship Haven Amish Mennonite Congregations.
Beloved husband of Mary Jane (Kuepfer) Jantzi who he married January 3, 1952. Loving father of Marie & Harold Erb of RR#1 Milverton, Elaine & Laverne Ropp of RR#3 Monkton, Rosemary & Stephen Ropp of RR#1 Brunner, Paul & Nancy Jantzi of RR#2 Milverton, Larry & Beatrice Jantzi of RR#1 Brunner. Sadly missed by his 35 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. Also remembered by sisters Katie & Aaron L. Jantzi of Wellesley, Laurene & Floyd Kuepfer of Milverton and by sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law Elmina Jantzi of Wellesley, Katie Jantzi of RR#1 Milverton, Katie Wagler of RR#1 Brunner, Norma & Elmer Mast of Tennessee, Jack & Katie Kuepfer of Milverton, Melvin & Amy Kuepfer of Millbank, Mervin & Norma Kuepfer of Listowel.

passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family on Thursday September 3, 2009 at his residence Knollcrest Lodge, Milverton. Laverne was born 69 years ago in Palmerston and was the son of the late Gordon & Della (McArthur) Johnston.
Dear father of Ron & wife Terralene Johnston of Tavistock, Mike & wife Tracey Johnston of Stratford and Shelley Johnston of Guelph. Sadly missed by his grandchildren Robert (Shauna), Tyler, Krystalyn, Kieran, Ashley (Burke), Adam, Taralyn, Megan, Jeremy, Ryan, Jesse, Sydney and his great-grandson Darius. passed away peacefully and quietly at her residence Knollcrest Lodge in Milverton on Sunday August 30, 2009. Lillian was formerly of Stratford and was born 94 years ago in Mornington Township.
Beloved wife of the late Ivan Leask who predeceased her in 1979. Lillian is survived and lovingly remembered by her sons David (Eleanor) Leask and Ken(Dawn) Leask all of Kitchener, grandsons Alex, Stephen and Jamie. Dear sister of Dorothy Graul of R.R. # 1 Brunner. Fondly remembered by Diane, Barbara, Lisa, Amy, Becky and Kennedy. Lillian was predeceased by her parents Andrew & Ida (Eggert) Reibling, sisters Florence (Jack) Golightly, Viola (Emmanuel) Schroeder, Helen, brothers Lincoln (Ella), Fred, George, Jack and brother-in-law Wilmot Graul.
