Spenler, Sarah
Born: October 15, 1918
Died: November 19, 2008

passed away peacefully on Wednesday November 19, 2008 at her residence Knollcrest Lodge, Milverton. Sarah was born 90 years ago in Mornington Township and was the daughter of the late Peter S. & Mattie (Zehr) Spenler.
Sadly missed by her sisters Mary Schmidt of Newton, Madeliene Gerber of Millbank and her brothers Jake & wife Dorothy Spenler of Mooretown and John Spenler of Brunner. Also remembered by a number of nieces and nephews. Sarah was predeceased by her sisters Leah, Emma, Elizabeth, Amanda, sisters-in-law Gladys Spenler, Erma Spenler and brothers-in-law Lorne Schmidt and Norman J. Gerber.
Sarah was a member of Fairhaven Amish Mennonite Church, R.R. # 1 Milverton.
Family and friends may call at the Mark Jutzi Funeral Home, 7 Spencer Street, Milverton on Friday November 21, 2008 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m..The funeral service will take place on Saturday, November 22, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. at Faith Mennonite Church, 1533 Chalmers-Forrest Road, Wellesley Township (Kingwood) with Bishop Melvin Roes officiating. Interment to follow in Mornington Amish Mennonite cemetery , R.R. # 1 Milverton. As expressions of sympathy donations may be made to Masters International Ministries or Knollcrest Lodge, Milverton.

Somerville, Cornelia (Connie)
Born: December 07, 1936
Died: November 16, 2008

passed away after a brief illness at Knollcrest Lodge, Milverton on Sunday, November 16, 2008 in her 72nd year. Connie resided at Knollcrest Lodge where she had been a resident for the past 8 years. Beloved daughter of the late Joseph Somerville and former Cornelia Couchman. Connie was also predeceased by her brothers Ronald Somerville & Bruce Somerville. She will be ever remembered by her friends and fellow residents at Knollcrest Lodge, Milverton.
At Connie’s request, cremation has taken place. Friends may gather to visit and share memories at Knollcrest Lodge, 50 William Street, Milverton on Tuesday, November 18, 2008 from 2:00 p.m. until the time of the service to celebrate her life at 3:00 p.m.. Pastor James Stewart officiating.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to Knollcrest Lodge would be appreciated.

Honderich, Mary Kathleen
Born: March 13, 1925
Died: November 07, 2008

passed away on Friday November 7, 2008 at Knollcrest Lodge, Milverton. Mary resided in Milverton and was born 83 years ago in Listowel. A daughter of the late Samuel & Florence (Ferguson) Poag.
Beloved wife of the late William Honderich whom predeceased her October 3, 1994. Loving mother of Lee & Cor van Berkel of London, Mark & Darlene Honderich of Callander, Tom Honderich of Stratford, Jane Honderich & Steve Galloway of Waterloo. Sadly missed by her grandchildren Nicole Honderich & Curtis Runions, Adam van Berkel, Kyle & Natalie Galloway.
Cremation has taken place. A memorial visitation will take place on Tuesday, November 11, 2008 from 4-7 p.m. at the Mark Jutzi Funeral Home, 7 Spencer Street, Milverton. Interment in Greenwood cemetery , Milverton. As expressions of sympathy donations may be made to Knollcrest Lodge, Milverton, Stratford General Hospital or Ritz Villa, Mitchell.

Zehr, Katie
Born: April 28, 1921
Died: October 24, 2008

passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Friday October 24, 2008 at her residence Knollcrest Lodge, Milverton. She was born 87 years ago in Wilmot Township and was the daughter of the late Moses J. & Catherine (Roth) Bender.
Beloved wife of the late Vernon B. Zehr whom predeceased her August 17, 1999. Loving mother of Carol & husband Gerry Gerber of St. Jacobs, Sharon & husband Norman Roes of R.R. # 1 Milverton, Hazel & husband Murray Gerber of R.R. # 1 Millbank, Brenda & husband Ray Schultz of Milverton, Ruth & husband Bud Gerber of R.R. # 1 Milverton, Rosie & husband Fred Lichti of Listowel. Sadly missed by her 16 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. Also remembered by brother Nelson Bender of Tavistock, sisters-in-law Ruby Bender, Olive Bender, Katie Bender, Lillian & husband Sam Lichty, Joyce Zehr, brothers-in-law Ron & wife Ruth Zehr, Glenn & wife Mary Ellen Zehr. Katie was predeceased by a son Wayne in infancy, foster son Rick Sharpe, brothers & sisters, Wilmer & wife Marion Bender, Elmina in infancy, Arthur & wife Dorothy Bender, Lydia & husband Mahlon Zehr, Alvin Bender, Elon & wife Marie Bender and brothers-in-law Orville Bender, Armand Bender and Daniel Zehr.
Katie was a member of Steinmann Mennonite Church, Baden and was a former member of WMSC. Katie enjoyed gardening, hand work, crocheting, knitting and quilting.
Family and friends may call at the Mark Jutzi Funeral Home, 7 Spencer St., Milverton today (Saturday) October 25, 2008 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m.. The interment will take place on Sunday October 26, 2008 at 1:30 p.m. at Poole Mennonite Church. The celebration of Katie’s life will follow at 3:00 p.m. at Steinmann Mennonite Church, Baden, with Pastor Steve Drudge, Pastor Ilene Bergen and Pastor Paul Dyck officiating. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Mennonite Central Committee, Knollcrest Lodge or charity of one’s choice.

Henning, Salome
Born: October 24, 1920
Died: October 18, 2008

passed away on Saturday October 18, 2008 at Stratford General Hospital. Salome resided at Knollcrest Lodge, Milverton. She was born 87 years ago in Poole and was the daughter of the late Christian & Mary (Steckly) Eicher.
Beloved wife of the late Ivan Henning who predeceased her December 27, 1990. Loving mother of Murray & wife Diana Henning of Milverton and Mary & husband Lloyd Schade of R.R. # 2 Milverton. Sadly missed by her grandchildren Bonnie Jennings, Jeanette Lamb, Steven & Marcy Henning, Gary Schade, Donna & Erik Pedersen, Linda & Ken Lehmann, Judy & Steve Benner, and great-grandchildren, Craig, Scott & Tiffany Jennings, Natasha & Kirk Lamb, Deana & Steven Henning, Jordan, Joshua & Jarett Pedersen, Brandon & Travis Lehmann, Nia, Kali & Gage Benner. Also missed by sister Magdalena Schwartzentruber of Stratford, sisters-in-law Helene Eicher of Milverton and Margaret Henning of Stratford. Salome was predeceased by brothers Joseph in infancy, David & Helen Eicher, William Eicher, sister Adeline & Irivne Greve and brothers-in-law Harold Roth, Serenus Schwartzentruber, Albert Henning, Fred & Elizabeth Henning, sister-in-law Katie & Elmer Voll.
Salome was a member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, Milverton. Salome was past member of the Milverton Senior Citizens and she enjoyed quilting.
Family and friends may call at the Mark Jutzi Funeral Home, 7 Spencer St., Milverton Monday (tonight) October 20, 2008 from 7-9 p.m. and again Tuesday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m.. A family interment will take place prior to the service on Wednesday October 22, 2008 at Greenwood cemetery , Milverton. The funeral service to celebrate Salome’s life will take place on Wednesday October 22, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, Milverton with Pastor Chrisite Morrow officiating. As expressions of sympathy donations may be made to CNIB or St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, Milverton.

Gray, Janice Lynn
Born: January 07, 1961
Died: October 04, 2008

passed away on Saturday October 4, 2008 at Stratford General Hospital. Janice resided in Milverton and was born 47 years ago in Listowel.
Beloved daughter of Marlene (Manz) Gray of Milverton and the late Richard (Dick) Gray. Sadly missed by her fiancé Andrew Little of Atwood. Dear sister of Paul Gray of Whitehorse, Yukon and the late Stephen Gray. Also missed by aunts, uncles, cousins and her many friends.
Janice attended Milverton Public School and Stratford Central Secondary School. She was a graduate of the University of Guelph.
There will be no funeral home visitation. A private family service will take place at the Mark Jutzi Funeral Home, 7 Spencer Street, Milverton on Tuesday October 7, 2008 with Pastor Frank Manz officiating. Interment to follow in St. John’s Lutheran cemetery , Poole. As expressions of sympathy donations may be made to The Terry Fox Foundation (Cancer Research) or charity of one’s choice.

Kuepfer, Aaron J.
Born: April 12, 1917
Died: October 05, 2008

passed away on Sunday October 5, 2008 at Knollcrest Lodge, Milverton. Aaron resided and farmed at R.R. # 1 Newton and was born there 91 years ago. He was the son of the late Joseph Z. & Lydia (Jantzi) Kuepfer
Beloved husband of Mary Kuepfer whom he married November 14, 1939. Dear father of Lydiann & husband Joel Wagler, Harold Kuepfer, Adeline & husband Germain DeBrouwer, Joseph & wife Rosanna Kuepfer all of R.R. # 1 Newton and Muriel & husband Larry Harvey of Meaford. Sadly missed by his 22 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren. Also remembered by sisters-in-law Sarah Streicher of Newton and Katie Wagler of Brunner. Aaron was predeceased by daughter-in-law Almeda Kuepfer, 5 grandchildren, 3 great-grandsons, brothers and sisters Solomon & wife Katie Kuepfer, Menno J. & wife Katie Kuepfer, Catherine & husband Aaron Streicher, Daniel & wife Mary Kuepfer, sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law Vera Kuepfer, Katie & husband Jacob Kuepfer, Lavina & husband Solomon Wagler, Sarah & husband Lorne Kuepfer.
Aaron was a member of Morningview Amish Mennonite Church, R.R. # 1 Newton where he had served as a minister for 55 years.
Family and friends may call at the Mark Jutzi Funeral Home, 7 Spencer Street, Milverton on Tuesday October 7, 2008 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m.. A family service will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday October 8, 2008 followed by the funeral service at 1:00 p.m. at Morningview Amish Mennonite Church, R.R. # 1 Newton where Bishop Kenneth Kuepfer will officiate. Interment in the church cemetery. As expressions of sympathy donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Ontario, Listowel Memorial Hospital or Knollcrest Lodge.

Horst, Vera
Born: October 23, 1924
Died: September 07, 2008

Peacefully called to her eternal home on Sunday September 7, 2008 at her residence R.R. # 2 Milverton. Vera was born 83 years ago in Wellesley Township and was the daughter of the late John R. & Mary (Nafziger) Lichty.
Beloved wife of the late Henry Horst who predeceased her February 7, 2005. Loving mother of Ken & wife Loreen Horst of Kenabeek, Ervin & wife Erma Horst of New Hamburg, Elroy & wife Eva Horst of Milverton, Marjorie & husband Wilmer Gerber of Wellesley, Lester Horst & friend Barb Delapenotiere of Stratford, Mary Lou & husband Gary Kuepfer of Millbank, Norm Horst & friend Kim Jacobs of Milverton and Marilyn & husband Doug Hiller of Milverton. Also remembered by daughter-in-law Pauline Horst of Millbank. Sadly missed by 31 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren. Dear sister and sister-in-law to Sam & wife Lillian Lichty, Selina Zehr, Noah & wife Leona Lichty, Florence Lichty and Margaret Lichty. Vera was predeceased by her brothers Lorne & wife Laura Lichty, Ervin Lichty, John Lichty, Ivan Lichty in childhood and brothers- in-law Earl Kropf and Jonas Zehr.
Vera was a member of Bethel Conservative Mennonite Church, Millbank.
Family and friends may call at the Mark Jutzi Funeral Home, 7 Spencer St., Milverton tonight (Tuesday) from 7-9 p.m. and again on Wednesday from 3-5 & 7-9 p.m.. The funeral service will take place on Thursday September 11, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. at Bethel Conservative Mennonite Church, Millbank with the Ministry at Bethel officiating. Interment to follow in the church cemetery. As expressions of sympathy donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society or Christian Aid Ministries.
