BERNER, Theodore Edward "Ted" - 79, of Goderich, on Saturday, December 29, 2007. Beloved husband of Shirley Jean (Sommerville). Much cherished grandfather of Cazzandra Gavigan at home. Ted has also been Cazzandra's father and hero. He will be greatly missed. Loved father of Dennis (Jean) Berner of Saugeen Twp and grandfather also of Andrew and Alec. Ten was born November 23, 1928 in Waterloo Twp. He worked for years at Seegmiller in Waterloo. The family moved to Saugeen Twp in 1976 and operated the North Bruce Garage. Ted and Shirley moved to Goderich in 1985 where they retired. Survived by brothers, Willard of Owen Sound and Jack of Brampton. Predeceased by his daughter, Tammy; parents, John and Edna (Plate) Berner; half-brothers, Charles, Harold and Howard Berner. A funeral service will be held on Monday, December 31, 2007 at McCallum and Palla Funeral Home Cambria Rd at East St., Goderich. Ronald Wayne Mohr, 69, of Courtright, and formerly of Rodney and Tavistock, passed away at Bluewater Health Centre, Sarnia, on Saturday, July 18, 2009. He was born on September 29, 1939, a son of the late Robert Mohr and the former Pansy Goldie Blanchard. Ron had worked as a Heavy Equipment Operator and during his lifetime he received great pleasure from racing and attending races. He is survived by two sons, Wayne Mohr and Trevor Mohr; two grandsons, Brandon and Joshua Mohr; two brothers, Robert and wife Jo-Ann Mohr of Kitchener, Barry and wife Marlene Mohr of Tavistock; four sisters, Sharon and husband John Miller of Petersburg, Shirley and husband Frank Wabro of Tavistock, Wendy and husband Larry Wagler of RR 2, Tavistock, Judy and husband Cordell Assman of Kitchener; two aunts, Garnett Dell of Waterloo, Mary Eby of Baden; one uncle, Wilfred Dietrich of Kitchener. Marie is survived by her 11 grandchildren, Matt (Trish), Luke (Michelle), Jake, Dane, Andrew and Christine Rohrbacher; Terry (Deb) and Rick Kraemer, Michelle (Bill Ridley) Forrest, Lisa Watson, Rob Laderoute and she was known as Grandma the Great to 12 great-grandchildren, Jade, Codi, Kyro, Jesse, Logan, Jorja, Katie, Ryan, Becky, Brinley, Elisabeth and Kyla; lovingly missed by her sisters, Barbara (Pat) Strollo, Patricia (Bill) Wunder; her brothers-in-law, Joe Cinquino, Ed Kipfer and many nieces and nephews. Born in Rama, Saskatchewan, Lilian entered into eternal rest at Lisaard House, Cambridge, Ont., on August 1, 2009 in her 92nd year. She moved to Ontario in 1948 and to Kitchener in 1951 where she was employed by Uniroyal for many years. In Kitchener, Lilian's home became a place of prayer and was open to people from many nations. She became a spiritual mentor to many. She will be remembered for her commitment to and involvement with: Highland Baptist Church as a life deacon, Sunday school teacher, nursery caregiver and a beloved "grandma" to Carmichael school children at the Breakfast Club; Central Park Lodge where she conducted a weekly Bible study for many years and accompanied the hymn singing with her autoharp. Lilian received a number of awards for her years of volunteer service at the Lodge; Catholic Charismatic Group in home Bible Study and Prayer groups. Lilian is predeceased by her parents, George and Nora (Moores); brothers, George (Edith), William (Helen), Winston and Tom and sisters, Dorothy, Margaret and Nora and brother-in-law, Edwin Ashdown. She is survived by her sisters, Rosalie Ashdown, Penticton, B.C., Miriam Miller, Nanton Alta., Mabel Johnson, Kelowna, B.C. and two sisters-in-law, Rae, Edmonton, Alta. and Dora, Toronto, Ont. She was loved and respected by numerous nieces, nephews, great and great-great nieces and nephews. Lilian will be fondly remembered by cousins in Canada and England.
