Josie Spetko
1923 - 2012

Spetko, Josie - peacefully at Gateway Haven, Wiarton on Friday August 31, 2012. The former Josepha Marie Brenner at the age of 89 years. Loving wife of the late William Spetko (2004). Cherished mother of Nancy and her husband Bob Bearinger, of Owen Sound; Alec and his wife Donna, of Wiarton; and Michael, of Vancouver. Grandmother of Courtney, Sarah, Melody, Joshua, Jesse, Zachary and Robert. Predeceased by parents Albert and Catherine Brenner; brothers and sisters Oscar, Lawrence, Cyril, Peter, Eileen, Monica, and Priscilla; and grandson Billy. Cremation has taken place, with a burial of ashes at Mt. Hope cemetery , Kitchener occuring on Friday, September 7, 2012 at 1 o'clock. A Celebration of Life service for Josie will be held at the Purple Valley Community Hall on Sunday, October 14, 2012 at 1 PM. Donations to the Ontario Wildlife Federation, Alzheimer's Society, or to Nature Conservation would be appreciated. Arrangements entrusted to the Thomas C. Whitcroft Funeral Home & Chapel, 814 Bruce Rd. 8, Sauble Beach. A Red Maple tree will be planted beside William�s tree in the Funeral Home meadow by the family.

Larry Barfoot
1946 - 2012

Barfoot, Larry - of Clavering, at his residence on Monday, August 20, 2012. Larry Wain Barfoot at the age of 66 years. Loving husband and best friend to the former Linda Ward for 39 years. Cherished father of Troy and his partner Tanya Williamson, of Clavering, and Chris and his wife Kim, of Hepworth. Devoted Papa of Mackenzie Boswell, Madison Barfoot and Owen Barfoot. Brother of Ken and his wife Barb, of RR#3 Hepworth, Sheila and her husband Carl Schultz, of Wiarton; brother-in-law of Wayne Ward and his wife Anne, of Wiarton, Ruth and her husband Milton Casemore, of Owen Sound, Grace and her husband Clayton Mackie, of Lion's Head, Norma and her husband Jack Campbell, of Wiarton. Son-in-law of Ab Ward, of Wiarton. Sadly missed by his many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Russell and Laura (nee Bumstead); mother-in-law Hazel Ward; brother-in-law Wray Ward; and sister-in-law Jean Ward. Larry proudly served his community coaching Minor Ball and Hockey and with his wife and sons running the family operated business Barfoot Contracting and Excavating Ltd. for 10 years. Larry's family invite you to gather with them for visitation at the Thomas C. Whitcroft Peninsula Chapel, 272 Berford St., Wiarton (519) 534-5341 on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Begin, Margaret - of Wiarton, peacefully surrounded by her family at Gateway Haven, Wiarton on Wednesday, August 15, 2012. The former Margaret Forsyth Borland at the age of 93 years. Much loved wife for over 71 years to the late O. Douglas Begin. Beloved mother to Sandy and her husband Don Elliott, of Red Bay. Cherished gramma to Doug Elliott (partner Ana Balint), of Oliphant; Nancy Davis (Ben), of Burlington; and Bill Elliott, of Burlington. Great-gramma to Rachel, Cassie, Bill, Mikila, and Sydney. Sister-in-law of Bill Begin and his wife Grace-Anne, of Conroe Texas, Linda Begin, of London and Carol Trimble, of Burlington. Predeceased by her sister Agnes Yeates; and step-brother John Trimble. A memorial service to celebrate Marg's life will be held at Gateway Haven, 671 Frank St., Wiarton on Saturday, August 18, 2012 at 2 o'clock, with visiting one hour prior to service. Cremation has taken place. Interment with her loving husband in Woodland cemetery , Hamilton. Donations to Friends of Gateway, or the Salvation Army would be appreciated. Stevens, Rosalind - of Kitchener, peacefully with her family surrounding her on Thursday, August 9, 2012. The former Rosalind Katri Nashkewa at the age of 78 years. Loving mother of Angie (husband Larry Misquadis) and Debbie Solomon, all of Kitchener, Russell Jr. "Sonny" Stevens, Gwen Stevens, and Reynold Stevens, all of Saugeen First Nation #29, Flip Stevens, of Kitchener, Ed Stevens (wife Jo), of Stoney Point, and Denise (husband John Brenner), of Kitchener. Devoted grandmother of Lance Smith, and Becky Loewen; Scott Stevens, Perry Stevens, and Amanda Mandawoub; Dewey, Sabrina and Joshua Misquadis; Ziggy Stevens, Shalene Stevens and Elysia Mason; Channelle, Travis, Russell and Cylas Stevens; and Kyle Wood. Great-grandmother of 28 and great-great-grandmother of 1. Sister of Gerald Nashkewa, of Vancouver, and Glen Nashkewa, of Owen Sound. Sadly missed by her many nieces, nephews and good friends. Predeceased by her parents Issac and Florence; devoted husband Russell; son Perry; grandson Chad Smith; brother Lawrence Nashkewa; and sister Alice Nashkewa. Cherished mother of Allan, of Seattle, Tina (husband Rick Hill), of Wiarton, and Jackie (husband Peter Tenute), of Ottawa. Devoted grandmother of Christopher Johnston, Graham (wife Amie) and Scott Hill (wife Darla Kaupilla), and Peter, Hillory, and Matthew Tenute; and great-grandmother of Anthony, Anika, Oasis, and Zephyr. Sister of Ernie Nadjiwon (wife Lil), of Cape Croker, and Annette Keeshig, of Cape Croker; and sister-in-law of Charles Johnston (wife Betty), Ted Johnston (wife Phyllis), and Keitha (Donald Keeshig), all of Cape Croker, and Bernice Hill, of Hagersville. Predeceased by her parents Francis and Ethal; brother Clifford Nadjiwon; sister Vera Kukhta; brothers-in-law Giles Keeshig, Eric Johnston, Orville Johnston, Lorne Hill, Mickey Keeshig, and Nick Kukhta; and sisters-in-law Eva Nadjiwon, Dolly Johnston, Iola Keeshig, and Delina Johnston. Family invite friends to gather for visitation at the Maadookii Senior's Centre, Cape Croker on Thursday, August 2, 2012 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. A Funeral Mass will be conducted from the St. Mary's Catholic Church, Cape Croker on Friday at 11 o'clock. Cremation to follow. A family interment service will take place at St. Jude's cemetery , Oakville on Monday, July 23, 2012 at 2 o'clock. Survived by several nieces and nephews; especially Rev. David Leggatt (Carolyn). Cherished mother of Dennis McArthur (wife Jeriann), of Newfoundland, Carla Watson (partner Art Van De Byl), of Tobermory, Janice (husband Jamie Thompson), of Sturgeon Falls, and Bob Schreiber (wife Corrine), of Sauble Beach. Devoted grandmother of Hunter, Logan, Kobi (husband Tim), Ben (girlfriend Krista), Tamara (husband Jeff), Shannon (fiance Matt), Jonothon, Joseph, and Kathryn; and great-grandmother of Mattias, Shamus, and Jaxon. Sister of Wayne (partner Teresa), of Durham, Clark (wife Linda), of Oliphant, Bonnie (husband Richard Desormeaux), of Tobermory, Janet (husband Doug Robbins), of Pike Bay, Karen (husband Stu Hodgson) and Carl (wife Karen), both of Tobermory; and sister-in-law of Lynn Watson, and Lorna Schreiber. Darren Wilkinson
1960 - 2012

Wilkinson, Darren Nelson - of Hepworth. Sadly the family announces the passing of Darren on Friday, November 16, 2012 at the age of 52 at the Wiarton Hospital. Dearly loved son of Lorraine Wilkinson of Sauble Beach and the late Glen Wilkinson (2009). Loved brother of Theresa Poulin (Don) and nephew Brandon, of Orillia. Darren fought his health battle for 3 years with strength and courage. Sadly he lost the battle and can now rest in peace with his Dad. Darren was an avid hunter and fisherman as he loved the outdoors. Sadly missed by many Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, and Friends, and his pal "Shelby". At Darren's request, there will be no visitation or service. Memorial donations to the Children's Burn Unit at Victoria Hospital, London or any Children's Benefit would be appreciated. Ritchie, Mary Louise - of Saugeen First Nation on Tuesday, November 13, 2012 at Grey Bruce Health Services Owen Sound after a courageous battle with cancer. Louise "Weezie" Ritchie in her 48th year. Cherished mother of Danielle Price: much loved sister of Philip Ritchie (aka Poodaman). She will be sadly missed by her nephew Patrick Ritchie; cousins Dean Martin, Barry Diamond, Ben Diamond, John Buffalo, Mike Buffalo, Krista John - to name a few; aunts Gladys and Marina Thompson; uncles Gordon Thompson, John and Mervyn Buffalo. Very special Auntie to Cecily Keeshig, Caleb Keeshig, Alicyn Keeshig, Jessica Pedoniquott, Emarie Solomon-Claridge, and baby Trent Ritchie. She will be forever and fondly remembered by her loving cousins "across the road" who were there for her to the end - Paul, Fran, Melissa (Mecca), Sheena, Brendon, Darren, Jeff, Shane, Char, Gabe, Sherry, Richelle and Greg; and Martin Roote - her special friend and confidant. Predeceased by her parents Lincoln Ritchie and Alberta (Thompson) Ritchie; and uncles Frank and Carl Shawbedees. Friends were invited to gather at the family home located at 6382 Highway 21, Saugeen First Nation for visitation on Thursday, November 15 from 7-9 p.m. and Friday, November 16 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A service to celebrate Louise Ritchie's life was conducted at the James Mason Memorial and Cultural Centre on Saturday, November 17 at 11:00 a.m. Interment Saugeen Village cemetery. Donation to Weezie's favourite team - the Saugeen Rezmen Fastball Team would be appreciated. Arrangements entrusted to the Thomas C.
