1954 - 2012

Harold, Philip - of Red Bay suddenly at Grey Bruce Health Services Owen Sound on Thursday May 3, 2012. Philip John Harold at the age of 58 years. Cherished father of Shawn Harold and Bryan Trudel, of Red Bay, and Joe Trudel, of Windsor. Loving son of Laura (nee Mitchell) and the late Chuck. Brother of Stan, of Beaver Dell, BC, Jennifer Harold, of Sierra Leone, and Kathy (Ray Gadoury), of Penetanguishene. Sadly missed by his many nieces, nephews and friends. Predeceased by his sister Nancy. Cremation has taken place. A service to celebrate Phil's life will be announced at a later date. Donations to the Bruce Peninsula Association for Community Living or the Salvation Army would be appreciated. Funeral plans arranged at the Thomas C. Thomas-Hepburn, Baby Tayja Mae - at home, surrounded by her loving family, in Wiarton on Friday, April 20, 2012. Baby Tayja Mae Thomas-Hepburn at the age of 9 days. Beautiful, precious child of Trina Thomas and Kirby Hepburn. First and forever loved grand-child of Chris Thomas (partner Vali Verdes), and Roger and Donna Hepburn, all of Wiarton. Beloved great-granddaughter of Howie and Maisie Hepburn and Mel and Bernice Bartley. Treasured niece of Clark, and Courtney Hepburn, of Wiarton; and loved by her many great-aunts and uncles, and many cousins. Predeceased by her great-grandparents Roma Bartley, and Shirley and Jim Thomas (Hoot and Poppa). Tayja will be missed by her special protector "Daisy" the dog. Family invite friends to gather with them on Saturday, April 21, 2012 from 1-4 pm at the Thomas C. Whitcroft Peninsula Chapel, 272 Berford St., Wiarton (519) 534-5341. A service celebrating Tayja's short time with us will be conducted from St. Paul's Presbyterian Church, Gould St., Wiarton on Sunday afternoon at 2 PM. Thomas, Les - of RR#1 Wiarton, peacefully at Grey Bruce Health Services Wiarton on Thursday, April 12, 2012. Leslie Robert Thomas at the age of 90 years. Loving companion of Florence Ronnenberg. Cherished father of Sharon (Neil McKeachnie), of Owen Sound, Bob (Gloria) and Mike (Colleen), both of Wolesley, Linda (Larry Isbester), and Kim (Doug Briggs), both of Wiarton. Devoted grandpa of Cathy, Adam, Karen, Laurie, Rob, Carrie, Charles, Les, Robert, Sarah, Letitia, Thomas, and Katelin; and great-grandpa of Natalie, Jarrett, Larissa, Lacey, Stacey, Erica, Tamara, Nathan, Avery, Colton, Zachery, Ava, Olivia, Erin, and Luke. Sadly missed by aunt Shirley McArthur; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law Audrey Thomas, Jo-Anne Thomas, June Moore, and Garry, Dan and Bryan Hewitt; and his many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his loving wife Alba (nee Hewitt); parents Bob and Gert; brothers Jim, Iv, Charlie, and Stan; and sisters Nora Moore, Win Rouse, Marg Peer, Sade McLeod, and Dot McLay. Joe Bell
1959 - 2012

Bell, Joe - of Wiarton, after a courageous battle with cancer at Grey Bruce Health Services Owen Sound on Saturday, April 7, 2012. Joseph Robert Bell at the age of 52 years. Loving husband to Jodie (nee Butchart) for over 20 years. Much loved son of Gail and her husband Ken Firkser, of Newmarket, and the late Jack Bell. Cherished brother of Tom Bell (Roberta), of Newmarket, Sue (Ralph Primerano), of Aurora, and Brenda (Doug McLean), of Richmond Hill; and brother-in-law of Jan Butchart, and Debbie (Keith Gilbert), all of Wiarton, and Raymond Butchart (Karen), of Agassiz, BC. Extraordinary uncle to Lyric Butchart Thajer, Michael Primerano (Kristina), Jaclyn Primerano, Kristina Primerano, John McLean, Robert McLean, Nick McLean, Brandee (Fred Medeiros), Cayley Gilbert, and Scott Gilbert. Predeceased by his father and mother-in-law Rae and Peggy Butchart; and nephew Brandon Cameron. Joe will be forever remembered for his love of family, community and especially children. He served as a proud member and Past President of the Wiarton and District Lions Club. Joe was employed by Leon's Furniture in Owen Sound for 19 years. His amazing magic tricks were a delight to every child Joe went out of his way to entertain. Kids and adults alike were in awe of the "Magic Man". Friends may call at the Thomas C. Whitcroft Funeral Home & Chapel, Sauble Beach (519) 422-0041 on Wednesday April 11, 2012 for visitation from 6-9 PM. A service to celebrate Joe's life will be conducted from the Sauble Christian Fellowship Church, 25 Southampton Pkwy., Sauble Beach on Thursday afternoon at 1 o'clock. A Lions Service will be held Wednesday afternoon at 5:45 pm at the funeral home. Spring interment in Bayview cemetery , Wiarton. Donations to the charity of your choice would be appreciated.

Cherished father of Victoria, at home. Caring son of Thelma Castell, of Wiarton. Brother of Eric (partner Wendy Palynchuk , of Sooke, BC. Sadly missed by his mother-in-law Lily Feil, formerly of Waterloo; sister-in-law Darla Shelkey; brother-in-law Alan Feil (Tanya); nephew of Charles Warwood (Jean), and Dave Warwood (Lynda); and nieces and nephews Aaron Shelkey, Rachelle, Katie, Jennifer, James, Taylor, Spencer, Aaron Feil, Tanya and Tony. "Uncle Brian" will be fondly remembered by Angela, Janet and Marilyn. Predeceased by his father Nelson; brother Danial; and father-in-law Clayton Feil. Friends may call at the Thomas C. Wonch, Rita - suddenly at her Wiarton residence on Friday, March 23, 2012. The former Rita Winnetta McLeod at the age of 81 years. Loving wife to the late Norman Wonch (1997). Cherished mother of Joanne and her husband Tom Theriault, of Puslinch; Pat Kerr (Brian McCarthy), of Elora; Billy Kerr (fiancee Kathy), of Guelph; Bobby and his wife Roxanne, of Owen Sound; Norma Wonch (Benny Dinapoli), Mary Wonch, and Norman (partner Anna Boyd, all of Hamilton; and Marjorie Wonch and her husband Allan Doerr, of Cambridge. Devoted grandmother of 16; and great-grandmother of 18. Caring sister of Laura (late Ralph Blakely), of Brampton; Howard MacLeod, of Hamilton; Catherine (Wilbert Bartley), of Owen Sound; Doug MacLeod (Marilyn), of Elliott Lake; and Anne (Wayne Ward), of Wiarton. Sadly missed by her extended family and her many nieces, nephews and friends. Predeceased by her parents William and Minnie; her son Roy (2001); grandchildren Joey Kerr, and Sherry-Lynn Theriault; her brother Archie McLeod (and late wife Marion); and Clayton Kerr. In respect to Rita's wishes there will be no visitation or service. Cremation has taken place. Loving husband to the late Thelma Caudle; and late Dorothy Caudle. Survived by Gary Caudle and his wife Viviane, and grand-children Nicola and Olivier of Port Elgin; and step-father of Jo Anne and her husband Larry McCartney, and grand-children Marshall McCartney of Wiarton and Amber McCartney of Hepworth; and great-grandfather of Grace McCartney-Geerdink. Predeceased by his daughter Bonnie Caudle; and step-son John Rouse who is survived by Beth Greatrex, of Wiarton and grand-children Brandi-Lynne and Jared Rouse. Beloved brother-in-law of Margaret (Ben Hatt), of Clavering, Gwen (Ted Arnold) and Eleanor (Don Nuttall), both of Clavering, Keith Smith (Joan), of Owen Sound, and Harry Smith (Theresa), of Kenora. Sadly missed by his many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents David and Kathleen; brother Harry Caudle; sisters Marguerite Lemcke, and Lorna Heppenstall; and sister-in-law Joyce Long. Beloved husband of the former Nancy Forrester. Devoted father of Sandra Lee and her husband Dick Hibma, of Owen Sound, Ted and his wife Tammy, of Hepworth, Victoria and her husband Don Scarlett, of Wiarton, John and his partner Sandra Ringel, of Hepworth, Suzy and her husband Don Richardson, Pam and her partner Lonnie King, all of Wiarton, and Mark, of Hamilton. Cherished grandfather of Andrew (wife Melodee), Kristen, John, Amanda, Crystal, Amanda (husband Jason), Aaron, Kayla, and Hayley; and great-grandfather of Logan Barber. Dear son of Eva Schneider, of Walkerton; brother of Edith (Terry McMillan), and Wanda Cook, all of Hanover; and brother-in-law of Cynthia (Ken Fodor), of London. Sadly missed by his nieces, nephews, and many friends. Predeceased by Maw and Johnny McCaw; and his precious granddaughter Robin (2008). 1931 - 2012

Conyard, Ken - The Venerable Kenneth J. Conyard passed away suddenly at Winston Park in Kitchener on Thursday February 23, 2012. Ken Conyard of Cambridge and Sauble Beach, in his 81st year. Beloved husband of Joan (nee MacKay). Loved father of Tim Conyard (Carolyn), of Cambridge; Linda Meulenbroeks (John), of Orono; Ian Conyard (Kate), of Waterloo; and Susan Johnston (Brent), of Kitchener. Lovingly remembered by his nine grandchildren: Alison, Liam, Skylar, Hayley, Lauren, Kelson, Leila, Beatrice and Lucas. Dear brother of Robert (Irene), of Sauble Beach; Gerald, of Goderich; and Fern, of London; and brother-in-law of Bruce MacKay (Sharon), of Toronto. Predeceased by his parents Henry and Amy, of London; brothers: Alfred, Leonard; and sister Winnifred Miehm. Ken was raised in Stratford and attended Western University and Huron College. He served in the Diocese of Huron in the parishes of Sarnia, Kitchener, London, Galt and Brantford from 1957 to 1990. Ken retired to Sauble Beach. Friends may call at Trinity Anglican Church, 12 Blair Road, Cambridge Tuesday, February 28 from 7 - 9pm. The funeral service will be conducted from Trinity Anglican Church on Wednesday February 29 at 2:30 PM. Grandfather of Jerry (wife Monique), Terry (partner Christine), Gary (wife Carol), Sherry, Cory (partner Chloe), Lana, Devin (wife Lynne), Kimberly (husband Nicholas); and great-grandfather of Kerrick, Branden, Brandie, Cody, Dillon, Dakota, Morgan, Logan, Emilia, Justine, Reese, Ella, Christine, Kaylee, Jayden, and Annika.
