Fred was born in Tara, November 5, 1920. Beloved husband of the former Dorothy Drury and the late Helen Leonard (1985). Loving father of Leonard and his wife Marianne of Belleville, Patricia Sneddon and her husband Ralph of Aylmer, Maureen Chittenden of Owen Sound, Jim and his wife Mary-Grace Drury of St. Paul, Alberta and Dorothy Mae Hall and her husband Dennis of St. Catharines. Lovingly remembered by his three grandchildren: Hannah, Christopher (C.J.) and Charlotte. Loving brother of Norah Pettit of Ingersoll. Predeceased by one brother Robert (1986) and one sister Frances Chittenden (2005). Fred was a veteran of World War II. He served five years in the RCAF as a wireless operator on Wellington bombers (424 Squadron) and received the Distinguished Flying Cross after completing two tours of operations over Germany and Italy. Fred was Manager of The General News Company in Brantford until retiring in 1975. He was a member of the Owen Sound Royal Canadian Legion.
