Peacefully at the Country Care Seniors Residence in Allenford Sunday morning October 24, 2004. The former Edna Broadfoot of Allenford in her 87th year. Beloved wife of the late Earl French. Edna was a Registered Nurse; Veteran Nursing Sister WWII; Royal Canadian Army Medical Corp, and will be lovingly remembered by her many friends. Dear sister-in-law of Louise Broadfoot of Tara. Dear aunt of Jim Shirreff and his wife Janis of R.R.#3 Allenford, Beth Shirreff and her friend Gary Schlonies of Kitchener, Mary Austin and her husband Len Eckel of Elmira, Betty Grewcutt and her husband Ted of New Westminister, B.C., Earl Broadfoot and his wife Elizabeth of London and Robert Broadfoot and his wife June of Owen Sound, seven great nieces and nephews and two great-great nephews and one great-great niece. Grandpa’s great lifetime stories will be remembered by Steph, Jenn, Janine, Michael, Kristel, Katie, Matt and Geoff and his former son-in-law Russ and his wife Ginny Anderson of Toronto. Lovingly remembered by her four grandchildren Patrick, Carter, Elizabeth and Benjamin. At St. Peter’s Hospital in Albany, New York Thursday afternoon January 27, 2005. The former Lois Primmer of Albany, New York in her 99th year. Wife of the late Leslie H. Slavin. Mrs. Slavin is survived by several nieces and nephews in Canada. Daughter of the late Charles E. Primmer and late former Mary Anne Beaton. Mrs. Slavin was born in Amabel Township. She spent her childhood attending school at Hepworth, Maple Grove and Northern Business College in Owen Sound. Her adult years were spent in the Albany Capital District. She was a retired bookkeeper and a member of the Patroon #1994 Chapter of A.A.R.P.. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church and active in the Dorcus Society of that church. Mother of Chad and his wife Angela of Milton; Mitchell and his wife Kristianna of Owen Sound and Cheney and her husband Jonathan of St. Catharines. Survived also by her loving mother and friend Mary Ellen Mollet of Arran Sideroad 20. Catherine was predeceased by her father Fraser Mollet. Dear sister of Sheridan, Claudia and Trent, all residing in Bruce County. She is lovingly remembered by one grandchild, four nephews and two nieces.
