She spent her childhood attending school at Hepworth, Maple Grove and Northern Business College in Owen Sound. Her adult years were spent in the Albany Capital District. She was a retired bookkeeper and a member of the Patroon #1994 Chapter of A.A.R.P.. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church and active in the Dorcus Society of that church.
