JACKMAN, Lena - At home, in the loving arms of her family, on Sunday, June 20, 2004. Lena Mary Jackman (Kent), beloved wife of the late Douglas Jackman. Cherished mother and best friend of Colleen (Tom) Best, Colin (Deb) Jackman, Jacqueline Krusky, Joanne (Paul) Barker, Carolin (Paul) McCausland, Cynthia (Ross) Williamson, Jeanette (Mike) Francoeur, Douglas Jackman. Loving nanny to Chris, Leanne, Anthony, Jesse, Sarah, Stephanie, Emily, Laura, Robert, Katie, Natalie, Benjamin, Nathan, Jack, Sadie and Jason and great-grandmother to Bradford. Dear daughter of the late Peter and Margaret Kent and sister to Loretta (Gene) Button, Rita (Joe) Murphy, Elizabeth (Gord) Strubb and daughter-in-law of Helen Jackman. Predeceased by sisters, Eileen, Margaret and Annie and brothers, Frank and William. Friends will be received at Little's Funeral Home & Cremation Centre, 223 Main St. E., Cambridge Tuesday from 7-9 p.m. and Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Ambrose RC Church, Chalmers Street South at South Street, Cambridge on Thursday, June 24, 2004 at 10 a.m. The parish rosary will be recited at the funeral home on Wednesday evening at 8:30 pm. Interment New Hope cemetery. Remembrances to the Cambridge Memorial Hospital Foundation 'Medical Day Care" would be greatly appreciated by the family.

HOFFER, Doris K. (nee Bird) - Peacefully, at Groves Memorial Community Hospital, Fergus, on Sunday, June 20, 2004, in her 90th year. Beloved wife of the late Arthur Hoffer. Loving mother of Ralph H. Hoffer and his wife Marian of Elora, Raymond A. Hoffer and his wife Beverley of Owen Sound and Ronald V. Hoffer and his wife Diane of Summerside, P.E.I. Dear grandmother of Julianne Galbriath and husband Paul, Jennifer Harrison and husband Scott, Jocelyne Bridle and husband Byram, Lauren Hoffer and Courtney Hoffer. Great-grandmother of Meghan, Eric and Madelaine. Survived by her brother, Jack Bird and wife Rosemary; sister, Margaret Fladd and husband Bob and brother-in-law, Ken Pritchard. Predeceased by her sister, Phyllis Pritchard. Missed by many nieces and nephews. Friends will be received at Graham A. Giddy Funeral Home and Chapel, 37 Church Street, Elora on Tuesday, June 22, 2004 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will be held in the chapel on Wednesday at 2 p.m. Private Interment Elora cemetery. HEIMPEL, Goldwin "Goldy" - passed away on Sunday, June 20, 2004 at his residence after a courageous battle with cancer. Goldy Heimpel, 76 years of age, was the beloved husband of Pearl (nee Bolduc) for 56 years. Dear father of Larry Edward and his wife Carol, Karen (Karis) Burkowski and her husband Forbes. Loving grandfather of Sharon, Brian, Steven, Adriane and her husband Ian Taylor; great-grandfather of Kaeden, Kaia. Survived by sister, Gertrude Wagner and brother Walter Heimpel and his wife Yvonne. Predeceased by parents, Allen Heimpel and Catherine (nee Wagner); step-father Herbert Moser; siblings, Allen (Jack), Wilfred, Margaret, Deborah (Dora), Jean. Goldy was in the automotive business all of his life. At Goldy's request, cremation has taken place, there will be no visitation and a private family service will be held. Funeral arrangements entrusted to the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 749-8467. 1931-2004
At K-W Health Centre of Grand River Hospital, on Saturday, June 19, 2004. Louise Felker, age 72. Much loved mother of Patricia Felker (Kevin Blain). Sister of Ted (late Grace) Tennant, Hazel (John) Cook, Mary (Bert) Hale, Phyllis (Murray) Betts, Marion (Fred) Heise, George (Evelyn) Tennant, Cerise (Bob) Clark and Audrey (late Dave) Chappell. Louise will also be missed by her many nieces, nephews, and by MacKenzie. She was predeceased by her parents, Mancil and Rose (Peake) Tennant and brothers, Richard, Morris and Charles. A special thank-you to Dr. K. Bedrosian, the nursing staff of 5D north at Grand River Hospital, the staff at the Grand River Cancer Centre and Heather from Care Partners for all their help. A Service of Remembrance will be held in the chapel of the Edward R. Good Funeral Home, 171 King Street South in Waterloo on Thursday June 24th, 2004 at 11 a.m. Cremation has taken place. Following the service, friends and family are invited to the Reception Room of the funeral home for refreshements and a time to visit with the family. ERNEST "ERNIE" EWERT
1928 - 2004
At St. Mary's Hospital in Kitchener, on Thursday, June 17, 2004, age 75 years.Brother of Peter Ewert, Cathy and her husband Jake Wiens of Waterloo, Martha and her husband Don Johnstone of Thunder Bay and Elfrieda and her husband John Krahn of Pener Island, BC. He will also be remembered by his brother-in-law, Fred Pfisterer and his wife Kay of Waterloo and sister-in-law Irene Rowden of Port Hope.He was predeceased by his parents, Helen (Riediger) and Isaac Ewert; brother Rudy Ewert and sister Helen Pfisterer. His sister-in-law Elenor Ewert died within hours on the same day as Ernie.Ernie was a member of Grace Mennonite Brethren Church in Waterloo.Friends are invited to share their memories of Ernie with his family at the Edward R. Good Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo today (Monday) from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held in the chapel of the funeral home on Tuesday, June 22, 2004 at 2 p.m., with Pastor Jim Cober officiating. Bill Conrad, age 74 years, of Elora, formerly of Elmira.Dear husband of Keitha (Heubach) Conrad of Elora. Dear father of Scott and Melissa of Elora. Also lovingly remembered by his brothers, Al and Margaret, Keith and Sherry, Ken and Gloria, all of Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. Sadly missed by his family, friends, neighbours and his two best pals, Ransom and Brodie.Predeceased by his parents, Frank and Edna (Stoddart) Conrad; his five brothers and two sisters.Bill owned and operated MidTown Appliances in Kitchener for over 35 years.At Bill's request, cremation has taken place. HADENKO, Mary - Peacefully, in her sleep, after several courageous battles with cancer, on Sunday, June 20th, 2004, at Freeport Health Centre of Grand River Hospital. The former Mary Glushkoff, aged 77 years. Dear mother to Judy and her husband David Reck of Kitchener; loving sister to Richard Glushkoff and his wife Margaret of Mississauga; cherished grandma to Jennifer and Andrea. Predeceased by her parents, Nicholas and Chana Glushkoff; her husband, Peter in 1976 and one sister, Rita. JANTZI, Fannie - passed away peacefully, on Monday, June 21, 2004, at Stratford General Hospital. Fannie resided at RR 1, Newton and was formerly of RR 1, Milverton. She was born 92 years ago in North Easthope Township a daughter of the late Daniel L. and Lydia (Nafziger) Jantzi. Fannie was a member of the Old Order Amish Faith. Beloved wife of Joseph K. Jantzi whom she married January 26, 1937. Dear mother of Aaron J. and his wife Martha Jantzi of Milverton, Sarah Albrecht of Newton and Elizabeth Albrecht of Milverton. Lovingly remembered by 13 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren. Also remembered by brother, Joseph N. Jantzi of RR 1, Milverton; brother-in-law, Noah K. Jantzi of Newton; sister-in-law, Lavina Jantzi of Milverton and many nieces and nephews. Fannie was predeceased by daughter-in-law, Ester Jantzi; by sons-in-law, Jonas Albrecht and Tobias Albrecht; by two great-grandchildren; by sister, Elizabeth Jantzi and by sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Lydia Jantzi, Nancy and Menno Kuepfer, Samuel K. and Christena Jantzi, David K. Jantzi and John and Daniel Jantzi (in infancy). Friends and relatives may call at the home of Solomon Jantzi, #6684 Perth Rd. 129, RR 1, Newton, today (Tuesday) after 2 p.m. and until Thursday, June 24, 2004 where the funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. with Bishop Reuben Streicher officiating. LANDRY, Ruby (nee Klentz) - passed away suddenly, at home, on Saturday June 19, 2004, at the age of 72. Ruby joins her husband, Maurice (1981). Loving mom of Ann (Jean Paul) Savard, Sandra (Gary) Landry, Kathleen (Rose) Landry, David (Donna) Landry, Barb (Bill) Prior, Ken (Joanne) Landry. She will be sadly missed by her 19 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren. Ruby is the beloved sister to Nelson, Arthur and Grace, all of Pembroke. Special friend to Barb and Dorothy and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents, Fred and Elizabeth Klentz; son, Ron; brothers, Lorne, Kenny, Stanley, Gordon; sister, Rene and son-in-law, Al.Friends and family were invited for visitation to Schreiter-Sandrock Funeral Home and Chapel (742-4481) 51 Benton at Church St., Kitchener, Monday and are invited today (Tuesday) from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A funeral service will be held in the chapel of the funeral home on Wednesday, June 23, 2004 at 2 p.m. with Canon David Hartry officiating. MacLEAN, Mary Evelyn Catherine - passed away at her residence, on Monday, June 21, 2004, at the age of 58. Beloved wife of James MacLean. Loving mother of Debbie Burns and her husband Mike, Richard MacLean and Heather MacLean. Mary is survived by her brother, Bill Campbell and his wife Pat and their children Julie (Morgan) and Jennifer. She will be remembered by her sisters-in-law, Diane Graham (Raymond), Pat Lyttle (William) and brother-in-law, Ian MacLean (Linda) and their families, all of Nova Scotia. Predeceased by her parents, Murdo and Evelyn Campbell and brother, Kenneth Campbell. Resting at Corbett Funeral Home, 95 Dundas Street, Cambridge, where the family will receive friends on Wednesday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The service will be held in the funeral home chapel Thursday, June 24, 2004, at 1 p.m. Interment will follow at Evergreen cemetery , Milton. SKINNER, William Preston - Peacefully, surrounded by his family and friends, at home in Wendover, on Sunday, June 20, 2004, at age 50. Dearly loved spouse of Marie Villeneuve. Preston was the cherished and youngest son of Jean (nee Gilbride) and the late Roland Skinner. Dear father of Evan (Samantha Donald) and Mikyla. Adored grandfather of Ethan. Preston is survived by two brothers, Doug (Linda) and Ward (Madge). He will be sadly missed by a niece, five nephews, Romeo, Madeleine Villeneuve and their family.He was also supported throughout his illness by many close friends, Dr. Paul Lyons, his staff, the team of dedicated professionals at CCAC, especially Syncia and Anne-Marie and the caregivers at the Ottawa Regional Cancer Centre.Preston will be remembered by all he knew for his kindness, his love of music and his sense of humour.Friends may visit at Theo Brunet & Sons Funeral Home, 2419 Laurier St., Rockland, Ont. on Wednesday, June 23 (today) from 11 a.m. A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, June 23, 2004 (today) in the Chapel at Theo Brunet & Sons Funeral Home at noon.
