WILKINSON, Alice Pauline - Was taken by the grace of God, on Monday, June 21, 2004, at St. Mary's General Hospital. Alice is survived by her two sons, Daniel Craig and Mark Bradley with love's embrace to her daughters-in-law, Donna and Myrna. Loving grandma to Matthew, Natasha and Bradley and three great-grandchildren. Lovingly remembered by Tiki. Dear sister of Betty and her husband Gerald Wamsley of Kitchener, Joyce and her husband Lorne Heuckroth of Cambridge, Beverley and her husband Raman Sundararaman of Lisle, Illinois and step-sister, Yvonne Young of Guelph. Survived by many nieces and nephews. Alice will always be remembered by her closest and dearest friends, Gladys McClement and Trudy Allensen and her everlasting friend, Mushtaq Mannu of Rome, Italy. Alice has been reunited with her mother, Alma Hollatz, who passed away May 19, 2004 and her father, August, who passed away May 21, 1984. Visitation will be held at The Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home and Cremation Centre, 621 King St. W., Kitchener 745-9495, on today (Thursday) from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. and Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Saturday, June 26 at 2 p.m. with Rev. Frank Haggarty officiating. Following the interment at St. Peter's Lutheran cemetery , a reception will be held in the Ratz-Bechtel Family Centre. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to the charity of your choice and may be arranged by contacting the funeral home or online through 1057@alderwoods.com. Alice's love of life was inspired by all those she touched and one of her last desires was to return that love.

WINGERT, Diane M. (nee Schnurr) - At K-W Health Centre of Grand River Hospital, suddenly, on Sunday, June 20th, 2004. Diane Marie Wingert aged 62 years. Cherished wife to Mike; treasured mother to Kim of Waterloo, Cathy and her husband Jim Adams of Kitchener, Michael and his wife Monica of Texas, Dave and his wife France of Drayton and Beth and her husband Lee Van Cromvoirt of Kitchener; precious daughter to Linus and Margaret Schnurr of Kitchener and daughter-in-law of Barbara Wingert of Kitchener, beloved sister to Gerry Schnurr and his wife Margie of Kitchener and Ray of Waterloo and sister-in-law to Marianne Hoegler of Waterloo; devoted and ever giving grandma to Emily, Sarah, Mary, Grace, Alexanne, Claudia and Adam. Diane was a member of St Michael's Church and the C.W.L of St. Agnes. Friends may call at The Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home and Cremation Centre, 621 King St. W., Kitchener, today (Wednesday) from 2-4 and 7-9, where parish prayers will be recited at 3:30 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday at 10 a.m. from St. Michael's Church, with Father James Malone officiating. Interment will be in Parkview cemetery.Donations may be made to The Grand River Regional Cancer Centre or St. Mary's Cardiac Care Unit as expressions of sympathy through the funeral home.

ELLIGSON, Ella May - Age 82, of 34-300 John Street South, Stratford passed away peacefully, at Stratford General Hospital, on Sunday, June 20, 2004. Born in Pugwash, Nova Scotia, she was the daughter of the late Athol Peers and the former Bessie Mitchell. She was a member of Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, Stratford. Beloved wife of Ralph Edward Elligson who predeceased her on January 22, 2003. Dear mother of Sylvia Foster of Stratford. Beloved grandmother of Lieutenant Colonel William R. Foster, M.V.O. and wife Jane of Valcartier, Quebec. Cherished great-grandmother of James and Tess. Dear sister of Amy Hislop of Stratford. Besides her husband and parents, she was predeceased by a grandson, Steven Foster on May 9, 2002 and three brothers. Relatives and friends will be received at the Heinbuck Funeral Home, 156 Albert Street, Stratford, today (Tuesday) from 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, June 23, 2004 at 1:30 p.m. Vicar Rob Wiesner will officiate. Interment will follow in Avondale cemetery , Stratford. CONRAD, William "Bill" - Peacefully, on Sunday, June 20, 2004, at Groves Memorial Community Hospital, Fergus. Bill Conrad, age 74 years, of Elora, formerly of Elmira.Dear husband of Keitha (Heubach) Conrad of Elora. Dear father of Scott and Melissa of Elora. Also lovingly remembered by his brothers, Al and Margaret, Keith and Sherry, Ken and Gloria, all of Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. Sadly missed by his family, friends, neighbours and his two best pals, Ransom and Brodie.Predeceased by his parents, Frank and Edna (Stoddart) Conrad; his five brothers and two sisters.Bill owned and operated MidTown Appliances in Kitchener for over 35 years.At Bill's request, cremation has taken place. Friends are invited to share their memories of Bill with his family at Dreisinger Funeral Home, Elmira on Wednesday from 7-9 p.m. only. A Memorial Service for family and friends will take place at Bethel Mennonite Church, RR 1, Elora on Thursday, June 24, 2004 at 11 a.m. with Pastor Darrell Jantzi officiating.In his memory, donations to Groves Memorial Community Hospital would be appreciated by the family as expressions of sympathy.

BRNA, Jan - Died at home, beside his beautiful rose garden on June 22, 2004, age 84. Beloved husband of Mary (Kachur); father of Ruzena Mudrochova of Slovakia and Juraj Mudroch (Maria) of Switzerland; step father of Valerie Hill, Kitchener, Sandra (Robert) Gott, Orangeville and Terry (Lise) Hill of Orillia. Much loved grandfather of Brent and Stephanie (Munger), Adam and Andrew (Hill), Christine and Belinda (Gott), Susie, Juraj and great-grandson, Mark (Mudroch). Predeceased by his parents, Jan and Maria; sister, Dareena and brother, Paul. Jan was born in Yugoslavia to Slovak parents. The family returned to Slovakia, to a farm in Bratislava where he was raised and first developed a passion for the land. As a young man, he served in the military, in both the British and Canadian forces as well as the Foreign Legion. His postings took him to Africa, the Middle East and Europe where he lost his foot in a tank explosion. After extensive travel in the U.S., he came to Canada in 1951 where he worked as a tool and die maker. Jan married Mary in 1972, in Toronto. Jan and Mary moved frequently and each time he would leave behind a garden oasis of his own creation. His delicious wine - blended using his own secret formulas - was a family legend and when, at 80, he decided to learn to use the computer, he did so with his usual enthusiasm and intelligence, mastering every aspect within months. Jan's ashes will be sent to Slovakia where he will be interred with his parents. A memorial service takes place today, (Thursday), June 24, 3 p.m. at Edward R. Good Funeral Home, 171 King St.E., Waterloo (745-8445). Expressions of sympathy to War Amps of Canada.

CARTER, Marguerite - At the Grey Bruce Regional Health Centre, Owen Sound on Wednesday, June 23, 2004. Marguerite Jean (Bunn) Carter, of Mount Forest in her 80th year. Beloved wife of the late Ken Carter. Dear mother of Melissa Anne Gray of Toronto, Michael Thomas Carter and wife Suzanne Gauthier of Toronto and Scott Anthony Carter and wife Kelly of Toronto. Loved grandmother of Alexander Jason Gray, Caitlin Kristene Alexandra Carter and Cameron Anthony Boyd Carter. Great-grandmother of Sarah Kristen MacLeod, Erika Jade Gray and Spencer Thomas Gray. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Mass will be held at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Mount Forest on Saturday, June 26 at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers memorial donations to the charity of one's choice would be appreciated by the family. WITT, Mrs. Margaret (nee Armstrong) - Passed away, at her home in Kitchener, in the loving arms of her son, on Tuesday, June 22, 2004, at the age of 75. Margaret was a longtime member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Kitchener. Dearly loved mother of Cameron Witt and his wife Patty of Waterloo and Sandra Witt of Langley, B.C. Cherished grandma of Hannah and Noah. She will be greatly missed by her many lady friends. Predeceased by her husband John Witt in 1991, her parents, and her siblings. Peacefully surrounded by his family at K-W Health Centre of Grand River Hospital on Monday, June 21st, 2004. Gerry Such in his 71st year. Cherished husband of Yvonne Such (Bonnie). Father of Cathy and her husband Bob Bell, Sandy and her husband Dave Telfer, Kelly and her husband Brian Schott, Jerri Lynn and her husband Ron Daum, David and his wife Juli Such, and Trish and her husband Dean Dietrich. Grandfather of Joshua and Jaclyn Bell, Amanda and Chelsea Telfer, Alana Schott, Kayla and Jenna Daum, Terry and Madison Such, and Cassidy and Kyle Dietrich. Brother of Bob and his wife Andrey Such of London, Frank and his wife Helen McDonald of Ottawa and the late Sister Marie. Gerry is currently President of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 530 Waterloo and has been since 1999. He was the proud recipient of the Queens Jubilee Medal in 2002. Gerry is also a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, and has been actively involved within the community. He was employed by SunarHauserman where he worked for over 35 years. Friends are invited to share their memories of Gerry with his family at the Edward R. Good Funeral Home, 171 King Street South in Waterloo on Thursday, June 24th, 2004 (today) from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A legion service will be held at the funeral home on Thursday evening at 7 p.m. The funeral service in celebration of Gerry's life will be held at St. John's Lutheran Church, 22 Willow Street, Waterloo on Friday, June 25th, 2004 at 11 a.m. with Rev. Doug Kranz officiating. Interment in St. Paul's Lutheran cemetery Erbsville. ROBERT C. "BOB" STONER
1926 - 2004
passed away after a brief illness at the K-W Health Centre of Grand River Hospital, on Tuesday, June 22, 2004, at the age of 77 years. Bob is survived by his loving wife Dorothy, his son David Stoner of Edmonton, AB, two grandsons Jeffrey and his wife Sara Stoner, Michael, and great-grandson Troy, all of Edmonton, AB. Bob is also survived by his sister Ruth and her husband Harold Hayne of Waterloo as well as many cousins, nieces and nephews. Bob was predeceased by his son Philip in 1984. Bob was a longtime employee in Sales and Management with Mutual Life until his retirement. He enjoyed playing the organ at the church in the 1950's as well as piano for the Sunday school and will be remembered for his love of telling jokes. Friends are invited to share their memories of Bob with his family during visitation at the Edward R. Good Funeral Home, 171 King Street South, Waterloo on Friday, June 25 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service to celebrate Bob's life will be held on Saturday, June 26 at 1:30 pm in the chapel of the funeral home with the Rev. Ron Brugler of the Church of the Good Shepherd officiating. Interment to follow at Memory Gardens cemetery , Breslau. A time of fellowship with the family will follow in the reception room of the funeral home. The family wishes to extend their thanks to the doctors and nurses in Emergency and I.C.U of the Grand River Hospital who showed not only real professionalism and care but also great personal kindness. In loving memory of Bob, donations may be directed to the Church of the Good Shepherd or the Grand River Hospital Foundation and can be arranged through the funeral home by calling 745-8445
