Vlcek Irene Mary, at her residence, Tiverton, on Wednesday March 19, 2003. Irene Vlcek, (nee Rieger) of Tiverton in her 84th year. Wife of the late Jerome F. Vlcek. Dear mother of Dorothy and her husband Rick Robillard of Tiverton, John and his wife Jan of Port Elgin, Jerry of Inverhuron and Jim and his wife Wendy of Kitchener. Dear sister of Charles (Chic) Rieger, Peggy Kokoski, both of Hamilton and Gloria Thornewell of Collingwood. Sadly missed and fondly remembered by her grandchildren, Jerry, Arin, Alex, Andrew, A.J. and Luke and by her great grandchildren, Benjamin and Olivia. Also survived by her dear friend, Lorraine Inglehart of Hamilton. Predeceased by her brother, Herbert. At Irene’s request there will be no Visitation nor Funeral Services. Cremation. Interment of Ashes, Southampton cemetery. Expressions of Remembrance to the Saugeen Memorial Hospital Foundation. Arrangements entrusted to the Eagleson Funeral Home, Southampton.

Dear mother of Ted and his wife Janine of Cambridge, Pastor Ron and his wife Susan of Owen Sound, Lynda and her husband Brian Rothenberg of Southampton and Deborah Stephen of Owen Sound. Also survived by her son-in-law Richard Bosch of Tiverton. Dear sister of Dorothy and her husband Gordon Adams of Owen Sound and Lorraine and her husband Ross Wark of Port Elgin. Sadly missed and fondly remembered by her grandchildren Jason, Jennifer, Brent, Dean, Andy, David and by her great grandchildren, Aidan and Devan. Predeceased by her husband, William Edward (Bud) Baker, by her daughters Patty and Lois and by her sister Audrey. At Marjorie's request there will be no Visitation, nor Funeral Service. Cremation. Private Interment of Ashes, Southampton cemetery , at a later time. Expressions of Remembrance to the Canadian Cancer Society or to the Diabetes Association. Dear father of Wayne and his wife Sandra of Port Elgin, Dan of Phoenix, Arizona and Karen and her husband Paul Levette of Port Elgin. Loving grandfather of Nicholas, Dana and Sara. Always remembered by his brother Ralph of Amherst, Nova Scotia and his sisters Anita and Tina (Alexina) of Sault Ste. Marie, Betty (Elizabeth) of Trenton, Aurore of Lindsay & Nelly (Nelida) of Edmonton. Predeceased by brothers Louis, Arthur and Donald and sisters Yvonne, Lorraine, Alice, Exhilda and Gloria. A Service of Remembrance will be held on Tuesday, May 27th, 2003 in the Chapel of the Eagleson Funeral Home, 234 Palmerston Street, Southampton, at 1 p.m. with interment to follow at Sanctuary Park cemetery , Port Elgin. Expressions of Remembrance may be made to the Critical Care Unit of the Grey-Bruce Regional Health Centre, Owen Sound or to the Salvation Army.

Doran, Morice Seaman, at Grey Bruce Health Services, Southampton, on Sunday June 1, 2003. Morice Doran of Southampton in his 90th year. Husband of the late Madeline Doran (nee Bettridge). Morice is survived by his sons and their spouses, Wayne and Donna of Kitchener, Marvin and Linda of Richmond and Dale and Barb of Waterloo. He will be missed by his granddaughters, Heather and Robert Schumann, Lisa and Chris Stermann, Beth and Tyler Brown, Amy and Jeff Streit, Jessica, Jamie and by his grandson John, and by his great grandchildren, Jacob, Katrina and Emily. He is survived by his brother Hartley Doran of Southampton and by his sister-in-laws, Flora Doran of Southampton and Cecelia Bettridge of Owen Sound. Predeceased by his parents, Nathan and Nettie Doran, by his 3 sisters, Eloise, Ruth and Dorothy, and by his brother, Ralph. Sadly missed by his many nieces and nephews and their families. Morice was a resident of Southampton since 1926. He was a radar mechanic during WW2. After the war, with his brother Ralph, he owned and operated Doran Bros. Crest Hardware, Southampton and Doran's Boat Livery (Sauble Clipper) , Sauble Beach. He particulary enjoyed the many friends he made both in Southampton and during the many summers at Sauble Beach. He had many interests, including the United Church Choir for 60 years, amateur radio (VE3BDA), curling, billiards, and bridge. He enjoyed repairing 'vacuum tube' radios and televisions up until this past year. A Celebration of Morice Doran’s life will be held at the Southampton United Church on Saturday June 7, 2003 at 2pm. Reverend Ken Russ will officiate. A time of fellowship will follow in the Church Social Hall. Private Interment Southampton cemetery. Expressions of Remembrance to the Southampton United Church or the Saugeen Memorial Hospital Foundation ,Southampton. Arrangements entrusted to the Eagleson Funeral Home, Southampton.

Beloved husband of Elizabeth (Betty) Weiss (nee Currie) of Southampton. Dear father of Joanne and her husband Tom Henry of Southampton. Proud and loving grandfather of Beth, at home. Also survived by his sister, Gladys and her husband James Geddes of London. Dear brother-in-law of Lorne and his wife Barb of Southampton, Isabel Cutting of Kemble and Gary and his wife Barb of Port Elgin. Fondly remembered by his nieces and nephews, cousins, by his friends of the neighbourhood and the community. Predeceased by his parents, William and Zillah Helene Weiss and by his brother, Harley. At Art’s request there will be no visitation. Private family Funeral Services will be conducted by the Eagleson Funeral Home, Southampton, on Wednesday April 16, 2003. Interment Southampton cemetery. Dear stepmother of Rose Anne and her husband Fred Cromwell of Red Bay, Dorothy and her husband John King of Cambridge and Suzane and her husband Keith Hall of Guelph. Special grandmother of 7 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Dear sister of Dorothy and her husband Bill Molson of Mount Forest and Birdie and her husband Ray Point of London. Sister-in-law of Dorothy Todd of Ayr. Fondly remembered by her nieces and nephews and by her friends and comrades of both the Galt and Southampton Legions. Predeceased by her parents Arthur and Clara DeVere. Visitation from the Eagleson Funeral Home, Southampton, on Sunday May 11, 2003 from 2-4 and 7-9pm. The Funeral Service will be conducted in the Chapel of the Funeral Home on Monday at 11am. Reverend Margaret Greenhow will officiate. A time of fellowship will follow in the Family Centre of the Funeral Home. A Service of Committal will be held at Mount View cemetery , Cambridge, on Tuesday May 13, 2003 at 11am. Expressions of Remembrance to the Heart and Stroke Foundation. Southampton Legion Branch #155, will hold a joint Memorial Service at the Funeral Home, Sunday evening at 7:30pm.

Dear mother of George, Arnold and his friend Sandra Cameron, Virginia Roote, Sharon and her husband Wayne Cameron, all of Saugeen First Nation, Fred and his wife Ilene of Sarnia and Erma and her husband Joseph Bennett of Massey. Sadly missed and fondly remembered by her 15 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild. Predeceased by her parents Elijah and Sophia Wabegona (Cook), by her sons, Ormond, Orley and Roy, by her grandson David and by her brothers Andrew, John and Peter. Visitation will be from the home of Sharon and Wayne Cameron, #6550 Highway 21, Saugeen First Nation, on Sunday June 1, 2003 from 7-9pm and on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9pm. The Funeral Service will be conducted on Tuesday June 3, 2003 at 2pm, from the James Mason Centre, Saugeen First Nation. Interment French Bay cemetery. Dear brother of Fred, Bernadette and her husband Ernest Owl, both of Saugeen, Dorothy and her husband Sam Jones of Cape Croker, Clarence and his wife Andrea and Jeremiah and his wife Wuline, all of Saugeen. Fondly remembered by his many nieces and nephews, by his friends of the community, of the church, and of the Billiard League. Predeceased by his father Wellington Mitchell, by his sister Mary Besito and by her sons, Lenny and Philomen, and by his great niece, Tiffany John. Visitation will be held, at his residence, 207 Scotch Settlement Road, Saugeen First Nation, on Saturday May 3, 2003, from 7-9pm and on Sunday from 2-4 & 7-9pm. The Funeral Service will be conducted from the James Mason Centre, Saugeen First Nation, on Monday May 5, 2003 at 2pm. Interment French Bay cemetery. Proud grandmother of Mary (Molly) and her husband, John Roberts, of Guelph, David White of Southampton, Heather, Laura Mary and Michael Sinclair, all of Tara, and of her great granddaughter, Meredith Roberts of Guelph. Dear sister of Muriel and her husband, Ross Aiken, of Allenford, Ruth McLeod of Sauble Beach and Gerald Walker of Arran Township. Also survived by her sister-in-law, Mae Walker, of Owen Sound. Fondly remembered by her many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Robert and Carrie Walker, by her brother Allan and his wife Viola, by her son-in-law, Lorne White and by her brother-in-law, Ian McLeod.
