Root, Edward Wayne, at his residence, Saugeen First Nation, on Monday September 22, 2008. Wayne Root of Saugeen First Nation in his 62nd year. Beloved partner of Pamela Kewageshig of Saugeen First Nation. Dear father of Dwayne Johnson and his wife Kathleen of Saugeen First Nation. Dear brother of Beulah and her husband Rick Johnson, Hubert and his wife Vida, Herman and his wife Pat, Ken and his wife Susie and Bertha all of Saugeen First Nation. Proud grandfather of Philip Dwayne Jr., Felicia and Kayla. Sadly missed and fondly remembered by his many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Edward and Hilda Roote, by his sisters Muriel and Sarah and by his nephews, Tom and Will. Visitation from the Wesley United Church, Saugeen First Nation, on Tuesday, September 23, 2008 from 7-9pm and on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9pm. The Funeral Service will be conducted from the James Mason Cultural Centre, Saugeen First Nation on Thursday at 2pm. Interment French Bay cemetery. Expressions of Remembrance to the Wesley United Church.

Survived by his brother Wilson and his wife Joan of Port Elgin. Fondly remembered by his many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Maurice and Isabella Brown. Visitation from the Eagleson Funeral Home, on Friday October 10, 2003 from 7-9pm. The Funeral Service will be conducted in the Chapel of the Funeral Home, on Saturday at 11am. Special friend of Marienne and Robert LaBlance of Goulais River. Fondly remembered by his nieces and nephews and his friends of the community. Predeceased by his daughter Francis Gibson and by his brothers, Stanley and William. Visitation from the Eagleson Funeral Home, Southampton, on Saturday October 25, 2003 from 12-2pm. Fondly remembered by Kees’s family, Peter of Kincardine and Paul and his partner Kathy and their children, Kyle and Konner of Southampton. Sadly missed by her god daughter, Anke Weddig of Oakville. Also survived by her sister, Barbara and her husband Gerald Bassett and by her brother, Ian McIntyre, both of England. Predeceased by her parents Frederick and Louisa McIntyre. Beloved husband of Janet Wilson (nee Thomson) of Southampton. Loving father of Doug and his wife Lisa Marie of Utterson. Proud grandfather of Amanda and her husband Greg Plester of Fredericton, N.B., Kimberley of Edmonton, AB., Brandon and Andrew both of Utterson. Loved great grandfather of Liam and Ronan. Also survived by his sister Isabel Omand of Scotland. Predceceased by his parents Robert and Jane Wilson and by his 6 brothers and 3 sisters. On his retirement Sandy moved to Southampton to be near his family and pursue his passion for fishing. Sandy will be fondly remembered by his neighbours and friends in the community but especially missed by his Scottish and other coffee club companions. In keeping with Sandy’s instructions there will be no visitation. Cremation. A Graveside Service for the Interment of Ashes, and the Sharing of Memories, will take place on Monday July 6, 2009, 2pm at the Southampton cemetery. Loving husband of Frances (Wade) McRae of Corunna. Very much loved by his daughters, Cindy (Gary) Wilson of Corunna and Penny (Doug) Campbell of Corunna. A very special and loving grandfather to Cory, Laura, Krista, Lisa and Sarah. He will be fondly remembered by his sisters Annie Linn of Southampton, Janet (Keith) Gark of Sarnia, and Mary Lou Majury of Paisley. Brother and sister-in-laws Willard (Freda) Wade, Helen Porter, Marian (Michael) Semenciw, Doris Kazarian, Dorothy (Jim) Theobald, James Engel and Ross Lisle. Predeceased by two infant sons, his parents Archie and Lila, sister Edna Engel, brother William Alfred “Fred”(Linda), brother and sister-in-laws Lorne Majury, Bill Linn, Elna Wade, Bruce (Eleanor) Wade, Evelyn Jean (Pat) Crawford, Rae Lisle, Les Porter, Harry Kazarian, and James Robinson. Sadly missed by many nephews and nieces. Graham was a member of St. Lawrence Lodge #131 AF & AM, Southampton, for over 50 years. Visitation from the Eagleson Funeral Home, Southampton, on Friday July 3, 2009 from 2-4 and 7-9pm. The Funeral Service will be conducted in the Chapel of Eagleson Funeral home, on Saturday at 11am.
