February 23, 1934 - February 11, 2001

Funeral arrangements by Nicholls Funeral Home

Suddenly at his residence, Midland on Sunday February 11, 2001 in his 67th year.

Jack Therrien, beloved husband of the late Jean Hayward. Dear father of Janice Forsyth and Debbi Bradley, both of Midland. Loving grandfather of Jami and Amanda and great grandfather of Haley Marie.

Dear brother of Robert Therrien and his wife Ethel, Anne Firth and her husband Rodney and the late Daniel.

Resting at the Nicholls Funeral Home 330 Midland Ave., Midland on Tuesday February 13th from 7-9 p.m. and Wednesday February 14th from 2-4 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Wednesday at 7 p.m. Spring Interment at St. Patrick’s cemetery in Perkinsfield.

Memorial donations to the Ontario Heart & Stroke Foundation or the Georgian Bay Lung Association would be appreciated.

Robert (Bob) Richard Rogers
May 15, 1922 - February 23, 2001

At the Huronia District Hospital on Friday February 23rd, 2001 in his 79th year.

Pre-deceased by his parents. Will be sadly missed by his friend Chris D’Aoust of Guelph, formerly of Balm Beach and his many friends and associates.

Long time and former resident of Balm Beach and proprietor of Bayview Grocery Store.

Resting at the Nicholls Funeral Home, 330 Midland Ave., Midland on Wednesday March 7th from 2 p.m. until time of Funeral Service in the chapel at 3 p.m. Cremation.

Memorial donations to the Shriners Hospital for Crippled Children would be appreciated.

George Marshall McGhee
October 30, 1921 - February 21, 2001

Served in the Royal Canadian Navy. Retired engineer of C.N.R. after 35 years of service. Member of the Masonic Order, Midland District Shriners Club of Rameses Shrine Temple and the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 80.

Suddenly at the Huronia District Hospital, Midland on Wednesday February 21, 2001 in his 80th year.

George McGhee of Midland, beloved husband of Flossie Christopher. Dear father of Wayne Christopher and his wife Audrey of Belleville and Bruce Christopher and his wife Vivian of Los Angeles. Dear grandfather of Ronald, Paul and wife Lezlie, Bruce, Bruce Jr. and Robert Wayne. Great grandfather of Julian and Sarah. Loving brother of Helen Clarke of Wasaga Beach. Uncle of Rick Ball and his wife Margo, and Rebecca and her husband Daryl. Will be sadly missed by his brother-in-law Arnold McEwen and his wife Josi of Rockland. Predeceased by parents Zeta Smith and Milt McGhee.

Resting at the Nicholls Funeral Home, 330 Midland Avenue, Midland on Friday February 23, 2001 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A funeral service will be held in the chapel on Saturday February 24th at 10 a.m. Spring Interment at Lakeview cemetery.

Service under the auspices of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 80, Midland will be held Friday evening at 7:30 p.m. and the Masonic Order, Branch #249 A.F. & A.M. at 8 p.m.

Memorial donations to the Ontario Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.

William James (Jim) Dennis
April 9, 1931 - February 27, 2001

Resident of Midland, Ontario. Died on Tuesday February 27, 2001 after a lengthy illness in his 70th year at North Bay Civic Hospital with loving friend Yvonne Robidoux at his side.

Survived by his mother Mrs. Jean Dennis of Toronto, sons Daryl of Victoria Harbour, Sean of Midland, Bob of Toronto and his three grandchildren, Paul, Rachel and Jessie. Also friends forever Maxine, Ray and Edith. By request, Cremation. No visitation. Interment and service in the Spring at Victoria Harbour Union cemetery.

Donations to the Huronia Hospitals Foundations (PGH Dialysis Unit) or the charity of your choice would be appreciated and will be received by the NICHOLLS FUNERAL HOME, 330 Midland Ave., Midland, Ontario L4R 3K7.

October 28, 1908 - February 26, 2001

At Midland on Monday February 26th, 2001 in his 93rd year.

(Former teacher of Harboard Collegiate, Toronto and Member of the South Georgian Bay Amateur Radio Club VE3PB).

Loved husband of Muriel (Loblaw), father of Betty Nelson and her husband George, grandfather of David Nelson (Renate), Mary Rodriques (Rocky), Stephen Nelson (Joanne), and great grandfather of Sarah, Jennifer, Darija and Xavier. Uncle of Paul and Natalie. Remembered fondly by numerous friends including Paul and Jill Marion of Midland.

No visitation. Cremation. A Service of Remembrance will be held at St. Paul’s United Church, 308 King St. Midland on Saturday March 17th , at 2 p.m.

Loving grandfather of 16 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren.

Dear mother of Mary Green of Toronto. Predeceased by her daughter Linda. Loving sister of Walter of Midland, Alice (Mrs. Don Rutherford) of Toronto and the late William, James, Tom, Charlie, Dora Crerar and Mary Reynolds.

A memorial service will be held in the Chapel of the Nicholls Funeral Home, 330 Midland Avenue, Midland on Thursday March 8th at 1 p.m. with visitation one hour prior to service. Cremation has taken place.

Loving grandfather of Aaron, Jennifer, Ryan, Jillian, Cody and Chantel. Lovingly remembered by Judy Fenton. Dear brother of Wayne Mandley and his wife Edna Mae of Bell Ewart, Shaun Mandley and his wife Debbie of Rexdale and Eric Mandley of Toronto. Will be sadly missed by his nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held at the Nicholls Funeral Home 330 Midland Ave., on Saturday March 17, 2001 from 7-9 p.m. and Sunday March 18th from 1-4 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Sunday March 18 at 4 p.m. Cremation.
