May 29, 1910 - March 23, 2001

Lillian May Johnstone passed away at the Villa Community Care Centre, Midland on Friday March 23rd, 2001, Lillian Bergeron of Midland, in her 91st year.

Beloved wife of the late Frederick Johnstone. Dear mother of Guy Johnstone and his wife Kathy of Midland, Jean Johnstone Maloney and her husband Earle of Texas, George Johnstone and his wife Brenda of Barrie. Loving grandma of Beth, Darcy, Allan, Bruce, Ted, Bryan and Claire. Great grandma of Kathryn, Erik, Jennifer, Ashley, Shannon, Oliver, Hope and Lily. Sister of Irene Beaulieu of Florida, Adelaide and her husband Frank Hunter of Cornwall. Predeceased by 3 brothers and 2 sisters.

The family will receive friends at the Nicholls Funeral Home, 330 Midland Ave., Midland on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Margaret’s Church, Midland on Monday March 26th at 10:30 a.m. Interment later St. Margaret’s cemetery , Midland.

If desired, memorial donations to the Villa Community Care Centre Volunteer Group would be appreciated.

Bertha Evelyn Grace Lindsay
January 22, 1922 - March 25, 2001

Entered into rest at Hillcrest Village, Midland on Sunday March 25, 2001 in her 80th year, Bertha Harman of Midland, beloved wife of the late Reverend Warden Lindsay.

Dear mother of David, Roger and his wife Mary of Richmond Hill, and Lawrence of Calgary. Loving grandmother of Warden and Cory. Predeceased by her sisters and brothers.

Friends will be received at the Nicholls Funeral Home, 330 Midland Avenue, Midland on Tuesday March 27th from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will be held at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, 845 Yonge Street, Midland on Wednesday March 28th at 11 a.m. Spring interment at Wyevale cemetery. Service under the auspices of the Royal Canadian Legion, Ladies Auxiliary, Branch 80, Midland will be held Tuesday evening at 7:30 p.m.

Memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or Holy Cross Lutheran Church Building Fund would be appreciated.

John Joseph Lesperance
March 27, 1934 - March 30, 2001

Loving grandfather of Kyle. Dear brother of Rita Hennan and her husband Al of Midland and Richard Lesperance and his wife Vera of Midland.

Resting at the Nicholls Funeral Home, 330 Midland Ave., Midland on Monday April 2nd from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Margaret’s Church, Midland on Tuesday April 3rd at 10 a.m. Cremation to follow. Spring Inurnment at St. Margaret’s cemetery. Parish Prayers will be held at the Funeral Home Monday evening at 7:30 p.m.

Dear mother of Keith Cleary and his wife Judy of Brampton, Ken Cleary and his wife Marsha of Fredericton, N.B. Dave Cleary and his wife Isabelle of Tiny Township and Judy Meyers and her husband Carl of Charlotte, North Carolina. Dear grandmother of 6 grandchildren.

Dear sister of Dean Vincent and his wife Irene of Penetanguishene, Betty Puddicombe and her husband Peter of Midland and the late Stanley, Bill and Aaron Vincent.

Cremation. Visitation will be held on Saturday April 14, 2001 from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. at Nicholls Funeral Home 330 Midland Avenue, Midland. A Memorial Service will be held in the Chapel at 2 p.m.

Memorial donations to the Alzheimer’s Society or to the Wye Marsh wild flowers would be appreciated.

Mary Elizabeth (Betty) Forrester
May 19, 1924 - April 11, 2001

Suddenly at the Huronia District Hospital, Midland on Wednesday April 11, 2001 in her 77th year. Betty Begg of Port McNicoll, beloved wife of Jim Forrester.

Dear mother of Lynn Baker and her husband Rob of Port McNicoll and Julie Sebok and her husband Joe of Orangeville. Loving grandmother of David, Debbie, Justin and Jordan Baker, and Joey and Nickholas Sebok. Will be sadly missed by her brother James Begg and his wife Florence of Newmarket. Predeceased by sisters Emily and Isobel. By her request, no Funeral Service.

Beloved husband of the late Ruth Gendron. Dear father of Laurie Belsey and his wife Lise of Honey Harbour, David Belsey and his wife Pam of Regina, Lois Belsey of Irian Jaya, Indonesia. Grandfather of Michael and his wife Karen, Paul, Debbie and her husband Neil, Susan and her husband Wayne, Maryruth and Heather. Great grandfather of Sydney, Ainsley and Bryn.

He will be sadly missed by his sister Clara Belsey of Midland and the late Myrtle Belsey, Muriel Boden, Bertha Russell, Dorothy Leighton, Bill, Alfred and Stanley Belsey.

The family will receive friends at Nicholls Funeral Home, 330 Midland Ave., Midland on Wednesday from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m., Thursday at the Alliance Church from 10-11 a.m. Funeral Service will be held at the Alliance Church, 829Young Street, Midland on Thursday April 19th at 11 a.m. Interment Lakeview cemetery , Midland.

Loving step-father of Wendy Macey and her husband Bruce of Orillia. Grandfather of Troy Macey and his wife Laura of Edmonton. Dear brother of Laura Simon of Kitchener, Victoria Dupuis and her husband Garland of Toronto, and William of Toronto.

Predeceased by Guy, Sylvester, Ralph, Mary, Margaret, Robert and Stanley. Will be sadly missed by nieces and nephews.

Parish prayers will be held in the Funeral Home Friday evening at 8:30 p.m.

Loving grandfather (Bampa) of Kim Campbell and her husband Bob, Kevin Cowden and his wife Helen, Nicole Vieira and her husband Andy, and Mark Gignac. Great grandfather of Graham, Michelle, Samantha, Gracie and Harrison. Will be sadly missed by his sister Norma McGee. Predeceased by his brothers Howard, Stuart and Norman.

Resting at the Nicholls Funeral Home, 330 Midland Avenue, Midland on Monday April 23rd from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A funeral service will be held at Knox Presbyterian Church, 539 Hugel Avenue, Midland on Tuesday April 24th at 1:30 p.m. Cremation to follow.

Memorial donations to the Huronia Hospital Foundation (HDH) would be appreciated. Services under the auspices of the Caledonian Masonic Lodge #249 A.F.& A.M., Midland will be held in the funeral home Monday evening at 7:30 p.m.
