Peacefully, on Sunday, March 4, 2001 at Rideaucrest Home for the Aged in her 93rd year.

Beloved wife of the late Ford. Loving mother of Jeanette (Don) Lines, Kingston; Betty (Rudy) Gervais, Kingston; and Donna (Paul) Gabourie, Picton. Dear Grandma of 10 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. She will be lovingly remembered by her twin sister Sadie Langdon (Watertown, NY) and her sister Edith Jones (Kingston). Sadly missed by her many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by 9 brothers and sisters.

Friends will be received at the township chapel of the Gordon F. Tompkins Funeral Homes, 435 Davis Dr. (Waterloo Village), on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday at 11 a.m., at St. Paul the Apostle Church, 1111 Taylor Kidd Blvd., Rev. Fr. Leo Byrne officiating. Rite of Committal with Prayers at Glenhaven Memorial Gardens, Glenburnie, Ontario.

Surrounded by her loving family, peacefully at her home on Sunday March 4, 2001, aged 78 years. Megan (Helsby) beloved wife of the late Earl Joseph Blaney.

Loving mother of Earl and wife Lillian of Sault Ste. Marie, Ann-Marie Blaney-Garrett and husband Bill, Marilyn Blaney, Peter Blaney and wife Sari Cross, Paul Blaney, Beverley Blaney, Gregory Blaney, Kevin Blaney and wife Sylvia and special son John Smythe, all of Kingston.

Loved grandmother of Earl and Erin Blaney, Jason and Lori Kauppinen-Blaney, Frederick Blaney and Sean Blaney-Light, Meagan and Emily Smythe, Christopher Blaney-Kulba and Sarah Blaney. Dear sister of Mrs. Eva Scrutton and Mrs. Annie Bearance. Fondly remembered by her many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Following mother’s request, there will be no visitation. Cremation has taken place.

Friends and family are invited to the Mass of Christian Burial in St. Mary’s Cathedral on Tuesday March 6th at 10:00 a.m. Private family interment at a later date. More details of a reception after Mass will follow.

Suddenly on March 8, 2001, Buck McNutt, in his 71st year, passed away in LaBelle, Florida.

Beloved husband of Sadie Verna Dartt and son of Alice Grace Matheson of Brentwood, Nova Scotia and the late George Matheson.

Father of Clem (Mary Hoare) of Sydenham, Eric (Donna Coburn) of Joyceville, Andy (Betty Jean Gorrell) of Kingston and Rhonda Corriveau (Guy) of Ottawa. Dearly loved by 13 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Step-brother of Elsie Decker of Dartmouth, Nova Scotia.

Friends will be received at the Central Chapel of the Gordon F. Tompkins Funeral Homes, 49 Colborne Street. (at Clergy) on Tuesday from 7-9 p.m. and Wednesday from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held in our Chapel on Thursday, March 15th at 2 p.m. Cremation to follow.

Peacefully, at her home, on Friday, April 20, 2001 at the tender age of 5 years with her Mommy and Daddy, Grandparents and friends by her side. Cherished daughter of Ken and Jennifer of Kingston. Precious granddaughter of Mildred Hall & the late Douglas Hall of Plattsville and Jim & Audrey Shearer of New Hamburg. Kailey will be sadly missed by her loving aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Although Kailey’s years were few, the impact she made was great, bringing stronger faith and richer love to the many lives she touched. She truly was a special gift from Heaven. Ken and Jennifer want to thank everyone for the many prayers, acts of kindness and generous support over the past 5 years. They are forever grateful.

The family will receive friends at the Township Chapel of the Gordon F. Tompkins Funeral Home, 435 Davis Drive, (Waterloo Village) Kingston on Monday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Prayer Vigil Service at the funeral home Monday evening at 8:00 o’clock. Mass of the Angels will be Celebrated at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, 490 Days Road, Kingston, on Tuesday, April 24 at 10:30 a.m. Thence to the Glendinning Funeral Home, 40 William Street, Plattsville, Ontario where the family will receive friends on Wednesday, April 25 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will be held at the Chesterfield United Church, R.R.#1, Bright, Ontario on Thursday, April 26 at 2:00 p.m. followed by cremation. Private family Interment in the Shearer Family cemetery , New Hamburg at a later date. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations made to the Children’s Cancer Fund, 25 King Street West, Kingston, K7L 5P9, would be greatly appreciated by the family.

After a brief illness at the Mount Sinai Hospital, New York, New York, on Tuesday May 29, 2001 in her 59th year. Gail, beloved daughter of the late Gordon and Katherine Yanover.

Dear sister of Judith Elman and her husband Michael of Montreal and Jerald Yanover of Ottawa. Dearly missed by her nephews Ken (Orly) and Lawrence Elman and niece Kayla Elman.

Funeral Service will be held in Beth Israel Synagogue, 116 Centre Street, Kingston on Friday June 1, 2001 at 12 noon. Interment in Son’s of Jacob cemetery , Belleville.

In her 80th year quietly on Wednesday September 26th at the Kingston General, with her family by her side, following a stroke at home Monday evening. Danusia will be fondly remembered by her husband Bolek (Bill), and her daughter Alexandra (Wayne Daugherty) and her grandchildren Shannon and Geoff (Nepean), cousins Marynia and Stachna (Warsaw) Irene (Australia) and other family members world wide. She will be greatly missed by her "extended family" in Kingston and all over the world.

Danusia took part in the Warsaw Uprising, was taken to a concentration camp in Germany, and late emigrated to Canada in 1949. Danusia’s humanitarianism and example of Christian love and charity was immeasurable. She loved to travel and explore, meet new people and make new friends. She was a tireless member of the Polish National Union Branch 5 and the Kingston Polish Refugee Committee. Her energy and talents were constantly admired as a volunteer in Guatemala, Poland or in her beloved city, Kingston. Her folk art is a part of so many homes. She catered to the needs of foreign students, new immigrants, community members and neighbours. "Danusia was everywhere."

Friends will be received at the Central Chapel of Gordon F. Tompkins, 49 Colborne Street (at Clergy Street) on Friday between the hours of 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary’s Cathedral. Following Cremation, a private Rite of Committal will take place at Glenhaven Memorial Garden’s cimetiere Resurrection cemetery. Memorial donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or to the Charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated.
