On Thursday November 23, 2000, Lloyd McGhan of Sherwood Park passed away at the age of 90 years.
He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 63 years, Eileen, children; Carman (Stephen), Bruce (Marilyn), Ross (Pat), Margot (Wayne), and Gordon, twelve grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, and numerous other family and friends.
He was predeceased by his grandson Jason, and his brother Lester.
Lloyd was a longtime resident of the Wye district.
Funeral Services will be held on Monday November 27, 2000 at 1:30 P.M. at Glenwood Funeral Home (52356 Range Road 232, Sherwood Park) with Interment to follow in Glenwood Memorial Gardens.
Memorial donations may be made to the charity of one’s choice.

William (Bill) Edward James Crawford
October 25, 1941 - December 27, 2000

On Wednesday December 27, 2000, Bill Crawford of Sherwood Park passed away at the age of 59 years.
He will be lovingly and gratefully remembered by his wife Dolores; children Heather (Jon), Glen, sister Judy of Calgary and numerous other family and friends.
Bill was well known in the community and will be missed by many.
Those wishing to pay their respects may do so on Monday January 1, 2001 between 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. or one hour prior to the Funeral Service which will be held Tuesday January 2, 2001 at 10:00 a.m. at Glenwood Funeral Home (52356 Range Road 232, Sherwood Park). Cremation to follow.
Bill’s final resting place will be Glenwood Memorial Gardens.

Ernest Cosgrave Parker
June 4, 1914 - February 6, 2001

On Tuesday February 6th, 2001, Ernest Parker passed away in Edmonton at the age of 86 years.
Ernie will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by Eleanor, his wife of 60 years, and daughters Linda (Dave) Mead, and Phyllis (Jim) Mead. He will also be proudly remembered by seven grandchildren, Scott (Gina) Mead, Ken (Laura) Mead, Jon (Jackie) Mead, Chris Mead and Robin Mead, Rhonda (Kent) Williams, and Joanne Kirkland. He is also survived by eight great-grandchildren, Jessica, Mitchell, Emily, Chloe, Lily, Amber, Danielle and Robin Evan, as well as six nieces and nephews.
As a young man, Ernie excelled in the local sports scene, helping to win championships in cricket, baseball, hockey, and marksmanship. Ernie also excelled in soccer, golf, and horsemanship.
Ernie's career as a member of the RCMP was interrupted by World War II when he served for five years with the Royal Canadian Air Force, attaining the rank of Warrant Officer. After a brief time in the Alberta Game Branch Ernie rejoined the RCMP, serving in Regina and Edmonton and retiring from "K" Division as a Staff Seargent. He then served as manager of the new Belvedere Golf Course East of Edmonton for three years. Following this, Ernie was a case worker with Alberta Social Services.
Ernie will always be remembered as a warm, caring, and considerate friend to all.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, February 9th, 2001, at Glenwood Funeral Home, 52356 Range Road 232, Sherwood Park (across from Salisbury Greenhouse) with Interment to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations in Ernie's memory may be made to the Arthritis Society, Alberta and N.W.T. John Neville Wright
July 21, 1918 - February 20, 2000

On Tuesday February 20, 2001, John (Nev) Wright of Edmonton passed away at the age of 82 years.
He will be lovingly remembered by his children; Wayne (Donna), Sandra (Allan), Debbie (Ivan), grandchildren; Rick, Barb, Susan, Todd, and Crystal, seven great-grandchildren, sister Mary Turner, and numerous other family and friends.
He was predeceased by his wife Ardath, son Bob, grandson Danny, and brothers, Norm and Al.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday February 23, 2001 at 2:00 P.M. at Glenwood Funeral Home (52356 Range Road 232, Sherwood Park). Cremation will follow.
Final Resting place will be at Glenwood Memorial Gardens in Sherwood Park.

Clarence William Ranger

On March 31, 2001, Clarence Ranger passed away at the age of 90 years.
He is survived by his seven children, Darlene (Hugh), William (Ellen), Daniel (Ann), Elaine, Michael, Natalie (Bill), Ben (Jan); 20 grandchildren; 3 honorary grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren; two sisters, Louella and Angie, as well as numerous other family and friends.
He was predeceased by his wife, Helen; two brothers and three sisters.
Those who wish to pay their respects may do so one hour prior to the Prayer Service which will be held on Monday, April 2, 2001 at 8:00 P.M. at Glenwood Funeral Home (52356 Range Road 232, Sherwood Park). A Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, April 3, 2001 at 1:00P.M. at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Roman Catholic Parish (13 Brower Drive, Sherwood Park) with Reverend Father Wilf Murchland as Celebrant. Interment to follow at Glenwood Memorial Gardens.

Joan Stella Edwards
April 9, 1935 - January 14, 2002

On Monday January 14, 2002, Joan Edwards of Edmonton, formerly of Brandon and Medora, Manitoba passed away peacefully at the age of 66 years after a courageous year long battle with cancer. She will be sadly missed and forever remembered by her children; Leigh Ann (Allan) Sexton of Smoky Lake, Darla (Brad) Lucy of Carlyle, Sk., Kerry (Tannis) Edwards of Lethbridge, Ab., grandchildren; Katrina, Jerilyn, Grant, Matthew, Tyler and Gerrit, sister, Donna, brothers; Vic, Blake and Randy, and numerous nephews, nieces and friends. She was predeceased by her son, Grant; brothers, Larry and Terry; her parents, Agnes and Donald; and her special long time companion, Lloyd.
At her request cremation has taken place and her Final Resting Place will be in Medora, Manitoba. A Memorial Service was held in Sherwood Park, Alberta. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Cross Cancer Institute, 11560 University Ave., Edm., T6G 1Z2.
