At London Health Sciences Centre, Victoria Campus on Thursday, August 30th, 2001 Emily Thompson Annable (Birrell) in her 92nd year. Beloved wife of the late Ross Annable (1989). Dear mother of Judy (Tom) Barker, Drew (Ethel) Annable, Peter (Pam) Annable. Fondly remembered by grandchildren Mike Barker, Heather (Scott) Sims, Chris, Jeff, Rob, Dan, Darryl, Carrie Annable and great grandchildren Ross and David Sims.

Sister of Irene House and sister-in-law of Ada Ross. Predeceased by 5 sisters and 2 brothers. Also remembered by numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends at Memorial Funeral Home (1559 Fanshawe Park Road East, London) from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. on Sunday, September 2nd, 2001 where the Funeral Service will be held on Monday at 1 p.m. Interment at Siloam cemetery.

Donations to the Canadian National Institute of the Blind would be acknowledged by the family.

Albert Anderson
November 01, 1920 - December 08, 2001

Peacefully in his sleep at Toronto East General Hospital on December 8, 2001 at the age of 81. Loving husband of Shirley for 56 years. Beloved father to John and Catherine, father-in-law to Nancy and friend to J. Patrick Doyle. Known as “Gampa” to his grandchildren Bryan, Jason and Michael, brother to Stan and Fred. Albert will also be fondly remembered by his nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends will be received at St. Aidan’s Anglican Church, southwest corner Queen Street East and Silverbirch (between Woodbine and Victoria Park Ave.) on Wednesday, December 12, 2001 from 1-2 p.m. A funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. with Interment at Resthaven Memorial Gardens.

Chester Douglas Anderson

After a lengthy and courageous battle with Alzheimer's at the Henderson General Hospital, on Wednesday, November 28, 2001, in his 91st year. Beloved husband of Marion (Langballe). Predeceased by his wife Elda (1976). Dear father of Beverly of Bridgewater, Nova Scotia and Neil of Barrie. Remembered by five grandchildren and one great-granddaughter. Also remembered by his stepsons Edward, Gordon and Peter Langballe.

Mr. Anderson was a retired bank manager for the Bank of Nova Scotia, D.D.G.M. Wellington District (1974) and 32nd degree member of the Scottish Rite. Special thanks to the staff of the Victoria Gardens for their care and compassion.

Mr. Anderson is at the DODSWORTH & BROWN Funeral Home, ROBINSON CHAPEL (King Street East at Wellington), on Saturday from 1 p.m. until the time of the Service at 3 p.m. Cremation to take place. Memorial tributes to the Alzheimer Society of Hamilton or the Cancer Assistance Program would be appreciated by the family.

Friedo Franz (Fred) Bader
April 09, 1935 - March 29, 2002

Surrounded by his loving family at his home in Tecumseh on March 29, 2002 at the age of 66.Beloved husband of Christa. Loving father of Pete and wife Cathy, of Pickering; Norm and wife Kristi, of Elmira; Susan and husband Don Regnier, of La Salle. Will be terribly missed by his grandchildren Nolan, Zachary, Tyler, Jasmine, Brianna, Jadelyn, Eric and Emma. Fred is survived by his sisters Franziska Henke, Karin and husband Wilfried Bottcher, and many relatives in Germany, Austria and Sweden. Fred will by sadly missed by his many friends in Windsor and Toronto and colleagues from GM and Windsor Tool and Die.

Our thanks to Dr. Yoshida, Dr Jones and Alison Sherwood from Hospice, and the nurses from St. Elizabeth. Friends may call on Sunday from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. and Monday 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at The Marcotte Funeral Home and Chapel, 12105 Tecumseh Rd., Tecumseh (519-735-2830) The Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, April 2, 2002 at 11:00 a.m. A cremation will follow. As your expression of sympathy, a donation to the Windsor Regional Cancer Centre or the War Amps of Canada would be appreciated.

A tree will be planted in memory of Fred Bader in the Janisse, Marcotte, Sutton Melady Heritage Forest. A dedication service will be held on September 29, 2002. All are welcome.

Leonard "Len" James Autton
June 17, 1918 - March 31, 2002

He went home to be with his risen Lord on Easter Sunday, March 31, 2002 at Centenary Hospital at the age of 83. Beloved husband for 53 years of the late Elsie Phyllis Autton (nee Parkes). Dear father of Phyllis and the late Jim Autton. Father-in-law of Nancy. Doting grandfather of Neil Jeffrey, Kailee Nicole and Gillian Ryan. Len is predeceased by Mildred and Wilfred Paddock. Like a father to John and Betty Galbraith. Lovingly adored as "Chief" by Matthew, Laura Bethany and David. He will be fondly remembered by his Church family from Fallingbrook Heights Baptist Church (Church at the Centre), as well as the Old Young People's Group. Len will be missed by the residents and staff of Scarborough Retirement Centre.

Friends may call at the Sherrin Funeral Home, 873 Kingston Rd., Toronto (west of Victoria Park Ave., 416-698-2861), on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A funeral service will be held in the Chapel on Friday at 1:30 p.m. Interment Resthaven Memorial Gardens.

Peacefully at her home on Wednesday July 11, 2001. The Lord called to himself Phyllis Elizebeth Balogh (nee: Smith) of Hamilton in her 79th year after successfully fulfilling her mission in life. Phyllis was well known for her involvement and giving to her church, family and community. She is the beloved wife of the late Thomas Balogh (1994) Loving mom of Gisele and her husband Bob Fisher of Stoney Creek, Suzanne Withers of Hamilton and Helene and her husband Stephen Seymour of Burlington. Dear gramma of Roger, Charlotte, Shari, Jason, Shawn, Michelle and Jonathan. Dear great gramma of Scott, Trevor, Daniel, Alana, Mark and Nikita. Dear sister of Helen, Hilda, Alma and Roberta. Sister-in-law of David and Albert.

Peacefully after a lengthy illness, at the Kingston General Hospital, in the arms of his loving wife. Josip, age 70 years, beloved husband for over 40 years of Anka. Father of Kris of B.C. Dear brother of Slavko Balog(his late wife, Ida) of Croatia, and step sister, Rozina of Croatia. Fondly remembered by his many nieces, nephews and cousins in Canada and Croatia. Dearly missed by his many dear friends here in the Kingston area.

Friends will be received at the Township Chapel of the Gordon F. Tompkins Funeral Homes, 435 Davis Drive, (Waterloo Village) on friday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.

Mass of Christian Burial in St. Mary's Cathedral on Saturday, March 9 at 10:30 a.m. Rite of Committal with prayers in Resurrection cemetery at Glenhaven Memorial Gardens.

Peacefully at The Meadows Long Term Care Centre, in Ancaster, on April 19, 2002, in her 84th year. Loving wife of the late Wesley Walter Ball (1991). Beloved mother of Eric and his wife Susan of Georgia, Norman and his wife Philippa of Toronto, Ken and his wife Lynn of Georgia, Gary and his wife Susan of Florida, Linda and her husband Michael Prinsthal of Ancaster. Will be sadly missed by her sister Gladys Johnston of Ridgeway, Ontario, grandchildren Cindy, Alex, Heather, Jana, Marla, Eric, Ryan, Graeme, Ashley, great-granddaughter Ashton and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by granddaughter Lani, brother Eric and sister Cecelia.

She will be deeply missed for her loving kindness, abiding faith, deep optimism and her infectious laughter.

On Thursday, November 1, 2001, in his 81st year. Recently of Cambridge, but formerly of Cornwall, ON and for 40 years, of Hamilton, ON.

Survived by his beloved wife, Janet Elizabeth (Simms); daughter, Anne McIlroy and her partner Bill Aird of Willowdale; sons, Michael of Cornwall and Christopher of Hamilton; and grandson, David McIlroy and Christie. Also survived by sisters, Audrey Putman of London, England and Hilary Power (Michael) of County Tipperary, Eire; nephew, Adrian Putman (Trisha) of London, England; his Aunt Peg Hamilton (Lionel) of London, England; sister-in- law, Doris Glenn of Vancouver, BC; brother-in-law, Frank Simms (Suzanne Dery) of Knowlton, PQ; and niece, Kedrin Simms of Washington, DC, as well as many cousins in Britain, Canada and the U.S.A. Predeceased by wives, Kay (nee Allen) and Wilma (nee Glenn) and daughters, Deborah and Jacqueline.

Originally with the Taxation Accounting Department of the former Middlesex County Council then from July 1938, sergeant with Middlesex Regiment. Later with 60 SL Regiment IIAA Divn. From 1941 Flight Lieutenant specialist Air Navigator 205 Squadron RAF, S.E.A.C. He spent four decades with Design Lithographers LTD, Hamilton. He was active with the Council of Printing Industries of Canada and with the Graphic Arts Industries Association. He served on the Board of the Children's Aid Association of Hamilton, the Canadian Association for Community Living in Cornwall, and was active in the Canadian Mental Health Association where he served as President of the Hamilton Branch, the Cornwall Branch, and the Ontario Division, as well as sitting on the National Board. As well, he chaired the Community Advisory Committee of the Cornwall General Hospital Mental Health Programs, and served as a member of the Community Advisory Board of Brockville Psychiatric Hospital and carried out assignments for the United Way and the District Health Council task forces in Hamilton. He is also a past member of the Hamilton Officers' Institute.

A Memorial Service will be conducted at Coutts & Son Funeral Home, 96 St. Andrews Street, Cambridge, on Saturday, November 10, 2001 at 1:30 p.m. Cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Mental Health Association, Hamilton Branch or the Cambridge Memorial Hospital Oncology Unit.The family invites friends & relatives to sign his Book of Visitation below.
