Resident of Holland Christian Homes, and formerly of Applewood Landmark, Mississauga, passed away in Brampton on Friday October 22nd, 2004.
Dearly loved husband and cherished friend of Doris (Boyce).
Son of the late Dollas and Medric, of Ottawa. Brother of the late Shirley Rooney, brother-in-law of Jean and of the late Ralph Boyce of Guelph, and the late Norma and Ted Fletcher of Burlington.
He will be missed by his nieces and nephews and their children, all of whom he loved as he would have his own.
Harold attended Lisgar Collegiate and Carlton University of Ottawa and Ontario Teachers College.
He served in the R.C.A.F. WW II, and as a career peacetime Officer, and highschool teacher with the North York Board of Education at C.W. Jefferies, for many years.
Harold was also a member of both Chinguacousy (Caledon) and of Brampton Golf Clubs for over 30 years. Also of Brampton Probus, and computer clubs.
Former member of Bloordale United Church, Etobicoke, and presently a member of St.Bartholomew's.
His hobbies besides golfing, included ham radio, tennis, bridge, painting and a great love of reading.
A Memorial remembrance of his life will take place on Monday November 1st, 2004 at 11a.m. at St. Bartholomew's United Church (22 Abbey Rd. S. Brampton) with a luncheon reception to follow at Brampton Golf Club (7700 Kennedy Rd. S.).
Cremation to take place privately with burial in Sydenham, Ontario in the Boyce family plot at a later date.
Donations to Holland Christian Homes Inc., or St. Bartholomew's United Church would be much appreciated.
