passed away peacefully and with courage after a lengthy battle with cancer on Wednesday, September 26, 2001 at the Hospital for Sick Children. Loving son of Jozefina (Hoeben) and Karol Komar and beloved brother of Janine Komar of Brampton, Ontario. Dear grandson of Nellie Hoeben of Oro and Mary Komar of Barrie. Dear nephew and cousin to the families of Jozefina’s sisters Toni Scarth, Mary Hoeben, Tini Campbell and Joanne Olberholzer. Dear nephew and cousin to the families of Karol’s brothers Steven Komar and John Komar.
David will be sadly missed by all his family, friends, his campmates at Camp Oochigeas and especially his grade three classmates and all the students, staff and teachers of Sacred Heart Catholic School in Brampton.
David was born in Brampton on February 9th, 1993. He was our special angel who loved life to the fullest to the age of 8 ½ years.
We sincerely and graciously thank the community of Brampton and everyone who provided support for new cancer treatment opportunities and donated to the David Komar trust fund. We are forever grateful to everyone at the hospital for Sick Children and Children’s Hospital in London for giving our son hope, love and care, during his cancer journey. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations for cancer research to the Hospital for Sick Children Foundation or to the camp Oochigeas Cancer Camp.

Loving brother of Tom ('Ing') and his wife Beverley, and their children Jessica and Peter. Dear nephew of Walter and Peggy Ross. Predeceased by his parents Maurine and Frank. Mike will be dearly missed and remembered by all of his relatives and dear friends. Mike was a longtime fan of the Montreal Canadiens and the Notre Dame 'Fighting Irish' .
