Dear father of Shelley (Randy Tiearney) of Toronto. Brother of Phyllis (Morton) of Millbrook. Best friend to Molly and Jake. A memorial service will be held at the NISBETT FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 600 Monaghan Rd. S., on Saturday March 26, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. Rev. Robert Flowers officiating. A private family inurnment will take place at Lakefield cemetery at a later date. A reception will be held at the Nisbett Reception Centre following the service. COWEY, Nigel Bruce - (P. Eng.) Suddenly on Wednesday January 26, 2005 in his 57th year. Dear son of Joan Cowey and the late Cecil Cowey. Nigel will be sadly missed by his brothers Neil of Haliburton, Roger (Karen) of Bridgenorth and sisters Heather (Gordon Jay) of Oshawa, Wendy (Glen Hough) of Ennismore, Barbara (Brian Moore) of Sarnia, Cindy (Peter Buchhorn) of Sydney, Austrailia, Heidi (Bob Franken) of Aurora and the late Jennifer. Nigel will also be missed by many nieces and nephews, especially Brian, Adam, Christina and Scott Hough, Michael-John and Rachael Clements, Andrew and Emily Buchhorn, Sarah, Katie and Joshua Franken. Fondly remembered by his co-workers at Public Works and Government Services Canada in Toronto and French River, and the Toronto Regional Conservation Authority. Graduate of University of Waterloo (Civil Engineering) and a member of the Alumni Association. A Queen's Scout in Peterborough at St. Luke's Church. Nigel was an avid collector and had a passion for researching his family's genealogy. Friends will be received at the NISBETT FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 600 Monaghan Rd. S. 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Monday. Beloved husband of Dorothy (McMillan). Dear father of Valerie (Eric Mann), Joan (Peter Lawless) and Paul (Tracey) all of the Peterborough area. Loving grandfather of David, Laura, Rachel, John, Calum, Griffyn and Tristan. Brother of Anthony (Kaye) of Toronto and Shirley Butler of England. He will also be missed by Doreen Wilkinson of Kitchener. Eric's sense of humour and love of life will be sadly missed by his family and many friends. He was actively involved in the Peterborough cycling community, the Kawartha Nordic Ski Club and was a longtime member of the Y.M.C.A. For 15 years he was a dedicated volunteer at the P.R.H.C. A memorial service will be held at Murray St. Baptist Church on Saturday August 21, 2004 at 2:00 p.m. Visitation at church 12:30 - 2:00 p.m. Rev. Evelyn Moore officiating.
