February 22, 1932 - April 30, 2003

SALIBA, Edward, 71 Years. Went into the loving arm’s of the Lord on April 30, 2003 at Hotel Dieu Grace Hospital surrounded by his loving family. Beloved husband of Connie (nee Cassar) of Windsor. Loving father of Simon and Matthew and wife Yvette, all of Windsor. Dear grandfather of Mark, Timothy and Derek. Dear brother of Joe Saliba of West Palm Beach, Florida, Al Saliba and wife Barb of Howell, Michigan, Mary Highland and Rose Davis and husband Bob, all of Boyne City, Michigan. Predeceased by Chuck Saliba and Dr. Paul Saliba. Edward was a retiree from Hotel Dieu Hospital as Central Stores Supervisor.

Visiting on Friday from 7-9 p.m. with Parish Prayers at 7:30 p.m. Funeral on Saturday, May 3, 2003 at 9:15 a.m. from the Janisse Bros-Marcotte Funeral Home, 1139 Ouellette Ave. (253-5225), then to St. Peter’s Maronite Church for Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Interment Windsor Memorial Gardens.

A tree will be planted in memory of Edward Saliba in the Janisse Bros-Marcotte Heritage Forest. A dedication service will be held on September 28, 2003. All are welcome.

Loving father of Jennifer and Patrick Stainrod. Loved son of Joyce and Wilfred Stainrod. Dear brother of David (Janet) Stainrod of Bowmanville and Trevor (Penny) Stainrod of Sydenham. Predeceased by his mother and father-in-law Irma and Jack O’Shea. Dearly remembered by his sisters-in-law; Maureen (Larry) Bolton, Debby (Perry) Fuller, Jackie (Ted) Broeders, Susan (Rod) Lappan and Denise (Larry) Brooks. Sadly missed by his many nieces, nephews, colleagues and friends. Friends will be received at the Township Chapel of Gordon F. Loving Dad of Chris and his wife Karen of Australia, Kurt and Ruby and her husband Cesar Ventura, all of Burlington. Wonderful grandpa (“Dad”) of Daegan and Alexander and his unborn grandchild. Dear brother of Johanna and her husband Stewart English of Thessalon, Henry and Grace Sieders, of Dundas, Jake and Rita Sieders and Lynda and Dave Hartman, all of Burlington. Loved son-in-law of Peter and Hazel Jansen of Hagersville. Kurt will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law and many nieces and nephews.

Loving mother of Gilbert & wife Sheila, Beverly Strickland & husband Jack, Linda McMullen, Roy & wife Sylvia, Ronald & wife Vivian, George & wife Pat, and Wayne. Predeceased by three sons Norman, Gary and Greg, one daughter Laura, and son-in-law Don McMullen. Sadly missed by 24 grandchildren and 34 great grandchildren. Dear sister of Joe Aussant and Cecil Coloti.

Robert "Skinner" Allen Westenburg

passed away at his residence on Wednesday, April 16, 2003, in his 63rd year. Allen leaves behind his mother Lillian Munro and stepfather James, brother Wayne, niece Shelley, nephews Jamie and Micheal, Aunt Gladys, many cousins and his best friend Dave. Allen was a member of the Bridge and Structural Workers Local 736. At the family's request cremation has taken place. NORRIS, Stanley Walter Born December 26, 1928. Entered his new life on April 11, 2003 and was greeted at the Golden Gates by his parents Stanley and Philomine (Howell) Norris. Survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Gladys Irene (Kerrison) Norris. Wonderful father to Rob and Suzanne Norris, Cheryl and Dave Baldwin, Candy and Lynn Montgomery, Cathy and Alain Johnson and Jodi and Sean Shearon. Loving grandfather of Wesley, Stacey, Jason, Rachelle, Michael, James, Sean Jr., Bobbie Sue, Charles, Cheryl, Jordan, Jesse, Karey and Lisa. Great-grandfather to Amber, Destiny, Jeremy, Amanda, Jorge and Jordan. Loving brother of Wayne, Allen, Marylin, Linda, Dolores, Jannette, Donna and Brian. Predeceased by siblings Corky, Richard, Patti, Baldy, Bonnie, Ruthanne and Billy. Last surviving uncle, Joe Lock. Loved by many nieces, nephews and cousins. Will be deeply missed by many, whose life he has touched. Elaine Murdoch (née Patchett)

It is with great sadness and heavy hearts the family of Elaine announces her sudden passing on March 24, 2003, at the St. Catharines General Hospital. Loving wife of Edward, devoted mother of Rebecca (Randy) and Stephen. Dear grandmother of Kieran. Sadly missed by sister Rita and niece Michele in England. Loving grandmother of Teresa, John, Lewis, Christine, Bryan Jr., Jeff and Troy. Great-grandmother of Tyler. Sister of Robert, Fred and Dorothy. Predeceased by her parents Cecil and Lora General and her brother Howard. Family will receive friends at the Welcome Inn Community Centre and Church on Friday, March 28, 2003, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., followed by a Service in the Church at 1:00 p.m. Interment at Woodland cemetery.
