85 years, passed away suddenly on July 28, 2004 in her beloved cottage country. Loving wife of the late Joseph Roy (1983). Dear mother of John (Carole) and Mary Beth Johns (Bill). Devoted grandmother to Paula of Toronto. Survived by her dedicated sisters, Gladys Lauzon and Pat Dougan. Predeceased by her parents Gladys and John Smith and in-laws Rose and William Pillon. Sister-in-law of the late Cal Lauzon, Bill Dougan, and Clarence and Madelyn Bessette. Loving Aunt Sylvia of many nieces and nephews. She will be missed by numerous relatives in Canada, U.S.A., England, and Spain. Sylvia will be fondly remembered by countless dear friends. Sylvia enjoyed a wonderful retirement having worked as a Trust Administrator with Canada Permanent Trust Co. She was an active community member of Tecumseh United Church, Dunchurch United Church, The Parry Sound District of the Women's Institute and the Sundown Estates Cottagers Association-Dunchurch. Sylvia enjoyed a full, productive life and will be fondly remembered by all who knew her. Visitation will be held on Sunday & Monday from 2-5 p.m. & 7-9 p.m. at the Marcotte Funeral Home & Chapel 12105 Tecumseh Road, Tecumseh (735-2830). Visitation will continue on Tuesday, August 3, 2004 from 10:00 a.m. until time of funeral service at 11:00 a.m. at Tecumseh United Church, 333 Lacasse Boulevard, Tecumseh. Rev. George McPhee officiating. Interment at Victoria Memorial Gardens. In kindness memorial donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation Windsor-Essex Chapter would be appreciated by the family. A tree will be planted in memory of Sylvia Pillon in the Marcotte Heritage Forest. A dedication service will be held on September 26, 2004. All are welcome.

She was a daughter of the late Ralph Ingram and Adelia Ingram Hubley. She is survived by sons, Michael, Vancouver; David (Susan), Lower Sackville; Danny, Toronto; Peter (Marlene), Lower Sackville; Anthony (Noreen), Beaver Bank; Gregory (LeeAnn), Halifax; daughters, Debbie Hum (Norman), Halifax and Sandra, Toronto; 13 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. She is also survived by her brother, Ralph Ingram (Eva), Cheverie; sisters, Carol Nicoll, Edmonton; Pauline Grace, Dartmouth; Judy Davis (Frank), Beaver Bank; former husband, Leslie Stymest; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by sister, Rita. She was a member and past president of the St. John Vianney Roman Catholic Church C.W.L., member of the Royal Canadian Legion 162, Sackville; Royal Canadian Legion Seniors' Club and the Sackville 50+ Club. Cremation has taken place. Arrangements have been entrusted to Atlantic Funeral Home, 125 Sackville Dr., Lower Sackville, where visitation will be 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friday. Funeral mass will take place at 10 a.m. Saturday in St. John Vianney Roman Catholic Church, 4 Beaverbank Rd. Reception to take place in the church hall following the service. Burial arrangements to be finalized. Family flowers only. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations in her name be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, Royal Canadian Legion, Victorian Order of Nurses or a charity of choice. The family would like to express their appreciation for support received from the Nova Scotia Cancer Centre and Palliative Care Unit, QEII, Victorian Order of Nurses and friends of family.

Delfina had a voice of an angel and was a proud member of the Italian Choir for St. John the Baptist Church and the Verdi Club. Delfina was a devoted hard working wife, mother and nonna who always put her family first. She had a vibrant personality and she lived life to the fullest.
