BELL, Donald (43 year employee of Ontario Motor Sales; Life member of Trinity Pentecostal Church) Peacefully, at Fosterbrooke, Newcastle, on Wednesday, May 15, 2002, in his 96th year. Beloved husband of Amanda for 65 years. Especially cherished father of Mary and her husband Peter Solotorow of Enfield, Heather and her husband Ted Marshall of Oshawa, Ruth and her husband John Knaggs of Mississauga. Devoted grandpa of Sylvia Keeling, Steven and his wife Laurie Solotorow, Becky and her husband Kelly Matthews, Murray and his wife Kipley Matthews, Christopher Adam and his wife Carolyn Knaggs, Amanda and her husband Marc Hoewing and great-grandpa to Samuel and Abigail Solotorow, Andrew Knaggs and Jonas Marshall. Predeceased by his parents Andrew and Elizabeth Bell and his brothers William, Samuel, John, James, Andrew, Archie and sisters Mary Baker and Bette Lawlor. Donald will be sadly missed by his friends and family in Scotland. Relatives and friends may pay their respects at the McIntosh-Anderson Funeral Home Limited, 152 KingSt. E., Oshawa (905-433-5558) from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. on Friday. A service will be held at Trinity Pentecostal Church, 900 King St. E., Oshawa on Saturday, May 18, 2002 at 3:00 p.m. with visiting from 2:30 p.m. until the timeof service. Interment will take place Tuesday, May 21, 2002 at 10:30 a.m. at Mount Lawn cemetery , Whitby. Donations made to Trinity Pentecostal Church - Building Fund or Gideon Memorial Bible Fund would be appreciated. 'Special thanks to the competent staff of Fosterbrooke for their tender loving care.'

BRANDT, Robert - Suddenly at home on Wednesday, May 15th, 2002 at the age of 65. Devoted husband of Lois. Loving father of Christopher and Nancy. Sadly missed by his brother Bruce and his wife Dorothy, his sisters Betty and her husband Benson Brown and Eleanor and her husband Ken Reid, brother-in-law of John and Doreen Matthews and Joan Matthews. FISHER, Nellie - (30 + years employee of Canada Post.) Peacefully with her family by her side on Tuesday, May 14th, 2002 at Ajax Pickering Health Centre in her 76th year. Predeceased by her husband of 51 years Fred Fisher. Loving mother of Fred and his wife Lynda of Whitby and Darren of Pickering. Loving Nana of Amanda and Jeremy. Predeceased by her 2 brothers and 2 sisters. Nellie will be sadly missed by her extended family and friends. GIASSON, Larry - Longtime member Local 30, Sheet Metal Workers. After a courageous battle with cancer on Thursday May 16, 2002 at his home in Oshawa at the age of 53. Larry, beloved husband of Judy, loving father of Barry and his wife Cathy, and Christopher, and loving step-father of Donna Tutkoluk and Dave Tutkoluk. Dear Papere of Brianne and Bryce. Dear brother of Gord and hiswife Diane, Pat and her husband Bill Johnston, Marge and her husband Bob Derbyshire, and his twin brother Garry and his wife Sandy. Dear son in law of Florence Haug. Larry was blessed with many close friends and family and hewill be sadly missed. Friends may call at the ARMSTRONG FUNERAL HOME, 124 King Street East, Oshawa on Friday May 17th from 2-4 and 7-9pm. Dear sister of Earl Knight and his wife Barbara, Alice Major and her husband Homer and the late Caroline McFarlane, Lois Thompson, Doris Knight, and sister-in-law of Mary and her husband Leo Blais, Geraldine Queen, Denis and his wife Lorraine Hogan and Sheila Elik. HURLBERT, Joyce Mary - Entered into rest at Lakeridge Health Oshawa on Thursday May 16, 2002 in her 65th year. Joyce, beloved wife of Richard (Dick). Loving mother of Janet and Chris, Deanna and Keith, Donna and Danny. Dear grandmother of Ricky, Corrina, Natasha, Cody, and John. Fondly remembered by her adopted daughters Candy and Kim. KIMMERLY, Helen Marie (Smith) - With great love and respect, Helen's family released her into the thanks of God on Wednesday May 15, 2002. Predeceased by her husband of 50 years Donald Kimmerly. Helen's spirit lives on in her 26 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren. She will be missed always by her children and their spouses: Ken and Sharon Kimmerly, Laura and Glenn Mulligan, Sue and John Mulligan, Nancy and Ron Stairs, Mary and Ron Hall, Kathy and Dale Woods, Barbara and Gary Stairs, Betty and Brian Farrow, Margaret and Dave Lecuyer, and Marie and Elton Barnes. Loved mother of Dale McClurg and Teresa, Brian McClurg and Valerie Kernohan, Debra and Clarence Stephenson, Terry McClurg and Karen Hayden, Sharon Flieler and Charlie Tilling, Dwayne McClurg and Cindy, Greg McClurg, and Dawn Mount and Rick Mappin. Proud grandmother of 23 grandchildren and one great grandson. Dear sister of Harold Brooks and his wife Barb, Glenn Brooks and his wife Gail, Wayne Brooks and his wife Merete, Elmer Brooks (deceased), and Lyall Brooks (deceased) and his wife Dorothy. SANDERS, Lena Marion - Suddenly at home on Wednesday May 15, 2002. Lena Sanders (nee Shaw) in her 67th year. Beloved wife of the late Robert "Bob" Orville Sanders. Loving companion of Lawrence Gosick. Dear mother of Bill and his wife Valerie of Bowmanville, Doug and his wife Sue of Oshawa, Linda Vail and her husband Ted of Timmins, and Carl of British Columbia. Lovingly remembered by her grandchildren Kirk, Sabrina, Nicole, Lee, Crystal, Todd, Bobby, Danielle and Jordan and by her great grandchildren Alyssa and Jordan. Predeceased by her brothers Irwin and Ray. Lena will be lovingly remembered by the Gosick family. LOVEKIN, The Hon. Eric Richard (Dick), U. E., (retired Judge, Ontario Superior Court of Justice; R.C.A.F. F/L, WWII; Life-long member of St. George's Anglican Church; member and Past-President of the Newcastle Lions Club)-peacefully at his home Kilcolman, surrounded by his family, on Wednesday May 15, 2002, in his 79th year. Beloved husband of Lynn. Cherished father of Kathy Ewert (Charles), Carol Little (Dean), Rick (Susan), and Janet; step-father of Susan Davis (Mark) and Michael Housley (Sonya). Proud grandfather of Robyn, Jennyn, Sarah, Laura, Jamie, Danny, David, Sara, Rylan, Morgan, Lauren, Brooke and great-grandfather of Krystyn and Benjamin. Predeceased by his parents Clarence Reginald Lovekin and Helen Beatrix Lovekin Anderson, and his brother Professor James P. Lovekin. He has touched the lives of many people and will be greatly missed. His spirit will live on in the hearts of those who love him. The family wishes to thank the many doctors and caregivers in Toronto and Bowmanville for their care and compassion over the past year.
