FOGALE, Eldo "Aldo" Giovanni - Passed away, peacefully, at LaPointe Fisher Nursing Home, Guelph, on Monday Oct. 21, 2002. Aldo Fogale, in his 81st year, was the beloved husband of Rose (nee Topan) Fogale. He was the dear father of Mary of Brantford. Aldo is fondly remembered by two grandchildren, Andrea and Amy; by his daughter-in-law, Susan of Guelph; by nieces and nephews and by his sister, Mary Frattin of Italy. Aldo is predeceased by his son, Joseph and by his two brothers, Gino and Mario. The family will receive friends at the Gilbert MacIntyre & Son Funeral Home and Chapel, 252 Dublin St. N., Guelph, on Wednesday (today), October 23, 2002 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Vigil for Aldo will be held at the funeral home at 8:30 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Church of Our Lady, 28 Norfolk St., Guelph, on Thursday, October 24, 2002 at 10 a.m. Interment Marymount cemetery , Guelph. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario would be appreciated by the family.

BLACK, Florence Marjorie (Kinzie) - February 08, 1923 - October 25, 2002. Wife of Donald I. Black, for more than 58 years, making their home in Guelph, following Don's discharge from the Canadian Navy in 1946. Survived by Barba Lee Clark (Bob) and granddaughters, Katie (Andy) and Julie, all of Plant City, Florida and Drew (Beth) of Sacramento, Calf. and grandchildren, Meredith of St. Catherines, Morgan of Cambridge and Yue Fu of Waterloo and a great-grandson, Joey. Sister of Laureen McKenzie of London and Larry (Carol) Kinzie of Cambridge. Predeceased by a brother, Gordon (1988) and his wife Isabel (1989) and brother-in-law, Gary McKenzie (2002). Survived by nieces and nephews, Dorothy, Lorna, Laura, Lisa, Brenda, Glenn, Gordon, Bradly and Brian. Involved in family business, Guelph Services for Physically Disabled, Guelph Mental Health, Red Cross and church activities worldwide. She travelled the world by freighter. Ever grateful for the gift of good health, Marj has willed her body for medical education to the University of Western Ontario, London. Rested at the Gilbert-MacIntyre and Son Funeral Home, 252 Dublin St. N., Guelph. A celebration of Marjorie's life will be held at the University of Guelph Arboretum at a later date. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Canadian Red Cross would be appreciated by the family.

McCrystal, Michael John - Peacefully, at K-W Health Centre of Grand River Hospital, Kitchener, on Sunday, October 27, 2002. Michael John McCrystal, in his 69th year, was father of Lisa and Lesley (Dave) Baird. Grandfather of Tyler and Riley Baird. Step-father of Steven (Brenda) Daigle and Tim Daigle. Dear brother of Martin, Leo, Kathleen Allen, Brian and the late Phillip and Maureen Bailey. Resting at the Gilbert MacIntyre & Son Funeral Home, 252 Dublin Street N., Guelph, where the family will receive friends on Tuesday evening 7-9 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, October 30, 2002 at 11 a.m. in the funeral home chapel with Sister Christine Leyser officiating. HANNA, Lawrence Charles (Chuck) - Peacefully, at Guelph General Hospital, on Sunday, October 27, 2002. Fondly remembered by many friends and relatives. THOMAS, Shirley B. (Moulton) - Peacefully, at her home, with her family by her side, in Guelph on Saturday, October 26, 2002. Shirley Thomas, beloved wife of David C. Thomas. Loving mother of Nancy Samis and her husband Randy, David and his wife Lee-Ann Sauer and Lisa Binden. Nanna of Meagan and Matthew Samis, Amberlynn Binden and Cory Drumm. Sister of Millicent, Heberling, Emily, Diane, Darryl and the late Alan. Daughter of the late Albert and Elizabeth Moulton of Burin, Newfoundland. A special thank you to nurses Doreen and Sandra, Case Managers Rebecca Roy and Anne Wadleigh. Thank you to all the homemakers with the Red Cross, especially Andrea and the Paramedics. Resting at the Gilbert MacIntyre & Son Funeral Home, 252 Dublin St. N., Guelph. At Shirley's request, there will be no visitation. A private service will be held on Tuesday, October 29, 2002. Cremation has taken place. PRICE, Willy Eva (nee Troost) - After a courageous battle with cancer, on Monday, October 28, 2002. Willy Price, in her 55th year was the dear wife and best friend, for 40 years, of Elwood Price of Guelph. She was the beloved mother of John and his wife Lisa Price of Kenilworth and Michelle and her husband Michael Blondin of Guelph. Willy was the dear grandmother of Wyatt and Anastasia. She was the dear sister of Eva Brandenburg of Guelph, Bill Troost and his wife Kathleen of Brampton, Ria and her husband Jack Marentette of Guelph and Kees Troost of Edmonton and the step-daughter of Bernice Troost. Willy was the dear sister-in-law of Dianna, Larry, Grant (Kim), Cora (Bill), Eugene, Pat and Tammy (Mark) and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, Jacob (2002) and Aria (1985) Troost. The family will receive friends at the Gilbert MacIntyre & Son Funeral Home and Chapel, 252 Dublin St. N., Guelph on Wednesday, Oct. 30 from 7-9 p.m. and Thursday, Oct. 31 from 11-12 noon. Immediately following this visitation, a Funeral Service will be held in the chapel at 12 noon. Interment Woodlawn cemetery , Guelph. GLADSTONE, Rosa (Rosemary) - After a prolonged illness, at the A.R. Goudie Eventide Nursing Home, Kitchener, Ontario, on Monday, October 28, 2002, with her family at her side. Rosemary was the devoted wife of J. Kenneth Gladstone of Kitchener, to whom she was married for 61 years. Mrs. Gladstone was born in Fort William (now Thunder Bay) Ontario on December 7, 1923. She moved to Guelph early in the Second World War, where she met husband to be. She was a Sunday School teacher for many years at Chalmers Church, in Guelph, before moving to Kitchener. After her children finished high school she enjoyed travels with her husband, living in most Provinces of Canada. She also enjoyed extensive foreign travels, particularly Israel, where she and her husband resided for ten years. She never tired of her trips to Jerusalem and marvelled in its biblical history and associated hymns that she had learned as a child. She resided in Thailand for three years, where she taught English to adults. She was the devoted mother of R. Wayne Gladstone (Brenda MacKay) of Gormley, Ontario and Glynne W. Gladstone (Ruth FitzGibbon and step-son John Denis) of the City of Waterloo. She loved two very special grandchildren, Laura (Mrs. William Terry) of Georgetown and Andrew Gladstone of Guelph. She is also survived by brothers, James (Bonnie) Blowers of Oakville, Thomas (Bess) Blowers of Edmonton, Bob (Joyce) Blowers of Camrose, Alberta, Warren Cusham of Englehart and David (Marion) Sloss of New Dundee. Mrs. Gladstone is resting at the Edward R. Good Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo (519-745-8445, www.edwardrgood.com), where her family will greet friends on Wednesday, October 30 (today) from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral services will be held in the chapel of the Funeral Home on Thursday, October 31 at 1 p.m., with Capt. Lauren Effer presiding, assisted by David Sloss. Interment will follow in the family plot at Woodlawn cemetery , Guelph, Ontario. Special thanks to the staff of Eventide, Dr. Jagas, Marie Parent and her family.

KERSEMANS, John Antoine - After a long and courageous battle with cancer, on October 27, 2002, at Guelph General Hospital, in his 61st year. Deepest and closest friend and companion of Hilda Wilson of Guelph; dear brother of Frank Kersemans of Guelph and Stephanie De Jaeger of Belgium. Dear son of the late Stan Kersemans of Acton and Adrienne De Jaeger of Belgium. The family received friends at the MacKinnon Family Funeral Home, "Shoemaker Chapel", 55 Mill St. E., Acton on Wednesday from 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held in the "Shoemaker Chapel" today (Thursday) at 1:30 p.m. Interment will follow at Fairview cemetery. Dear sister of Jack Kivell and his wife Audrey of Owen Sound and the late Gladys Hillis. LUNDVALL, Margaret Elizabeth "Betty" (O'Brien) - Peacefully, at her home, after a short battle with cancer, on Wednesday, October 30, 2002, Betty Lundvall, in her 62nd year, beloved wife of Norm Lundvall. Loving mother of Daniel of Guelph, Kimberlee and her husband Tim Ware of Cleveland, TN. Dear grandma of Zachary, Julia and Noah. Dear sister of Philip J. O'Brien of Toronto, Maureen O'Connor of Killaloe and the Philippines, Joan Henderson of London and Dr. Linda Lee O'Brien-Pallas of Toronto. Predeceased by her parents, Leo (February 5, 1984) and Bertha (October 30, 1983). AUBREY, Vera Eileen - Peacefully, at home, as she wished, on Wednesday, October 30, 2002. Vera (Welsh) Aubrey, at the age of 75 years. Beloved wife of the late Bruce Aubrey (1977). Loving mother of Lew Aubrey and his wife Jane of Guelph, Craig Aubrey and his wife Kathy of Oakville. She will be remembered as "Nin" to her grandchildren, Bruce, David, Larissa and "Gramma" to Patrick and Kelly. Dear sister of Jim Welsh and his wife Ina of Edmonton, Alberta, the late Kathleen and Lloyd. Vera was a volunteer at Guelph General Hospital in the Women's Auxiliary for 25 years, a longtime member of Harcourt Memorial United Church, the I.O.D.E. and the Order of the Eastern Star. She was an avid golfer and member of Victoria Park West. Friends may call at the GILCHRIST CHAPEL-McIntyre & Wilkie Funeral Home, One Delhi Street, Guelph on Friday, November 1 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. In accordance with Vera's wishes, a private family service will be held with The Rev.
