JONES (McKay), Kathleen - Passed away, on January 4, 2003, at Caressant Care, Fergus, at age 81. Predeceased by her husband, Hector, 1972. Loving mother of Doreen of Coniston (husband Keith), Leonard of Acton (wife Karla), William of Vancouver, Mark of Georgetown (wife Louise) and Darlene of Amherstview (husband Thomas). Predeceased by her parents, Bruno Owen McKay and Isabelle Chenette, sisters of Dorothy, Lila, Violet, Isabelle and twin sister, Irene, brothers, Tommy, Mickey and Lawrence. Survived by sister, Maudie Ferguson of Sardis, B.C. and brother, Roy McKay (wife Eileen) of South Porcupine. Loving grandmother of Valerie, Clifford, Sandra, Sophie, Deborah, Melanie, Billy, Kim, Darryl, Cathy, Tawnya, Tristan and Tory. Loving great-grandmother of Matthew, Tyler, Jessica, Thomas and Tiernan. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer's Society would be appreciated. Mass of Christian Memorial will be at St. Joseph's Parish, Acton, at 12 noon, Friday January 10, 2003.

BROWN, Mildred Gertrude - Peacefully, on Saturday, January 4, 2003, at the Guelph General Hospital, Millie Brown passed away with her family by her side, into the waiting arms of her dearly departed sons, George and Donald and daughter, Kathleen and husband Bert Brown. Beloved mother of Barbara and Tom Wilson (Guelph), Mary Halcovitch (Waterdown), Sally Mitchell (Hamilton), Allan and Darlene Brown (Freelton), Ken and Pat Brown (Port Elgin), Ron and Julie Brown (Port Elgin). Loving mother-in-law to Sylvia Brown (Freelton) and Alice Brown (Strabane). Devoted Gramma to James and Chris, Michael, John, Jeff and Carol Lee, Joanne, Brad, Terry, Sherrie, Scott, Jaimie Lee, Heidi, Steve, Randy, Angela, Ryan, Kimberly, Kelly and Dave, Tim and Niki, Tammy, Tracey, John, Katie. Loving great-grandmother to many. She will be sadly missed by her best friend and loved companion Jack Molyneux. Survived by her sister, Myrtle Reid (Hamilton). Cremation has been held. A private family service has taken place. Arrangements entrusted to the GILCHRIST CHAPEL-McIntyre & Wilkie Funeral Home, One Delhi Street, Guelph. Memorial contributions to the Alzheimer Society or Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario would be appreciated.

HOLMES, RUTH - January 4, 2003, at Brampton Memorial Hospital, in the presence of her loving family, at age 76. Ruth MacDonald, daughter of the late Hazel and Grant MacDonald. The very loving wife of Jack Holmes of Acton for 56 years. Cherished mother of Ruddy and Maureen Holmes of Acton, Glenn and Jodie Holmes of Lake Bluff, Ill. and Jack Jr. and Jocqueline Holmes of Toronto; beloved grandmother of Kate, Kelly, Matson, Cameron and Colin. Sister of Alan and Doreen MacDonald of London, Ont. Also missed by many nieces and nephews. Friends will be received by the family for a memorial tea at Knox Presbyterian Church, Acton, Saturday, Jan. 11, 2003 from 2-4 p.m. A private interment of her cremated remains will be in the spring. WRIGHT, Francis Leo (Frank) - Following a lengthy illness, at Wellington Terrace, in Elora, on Monday, Jan. 6, 2003, Frank Wright, of Pilkington township, in his 81st year. Loved brother of John of Hanna, Alta., Margaret Boland and her husband Jack of Lucan, Albert of the Wellington Terrace in Elora, Leo and his wife Hilda of Ariss, Joseph and his wife Evelyn of Owen Sound. Frank is also survived by a number of nieces, nephews and grand-nieces and nephews. Dear brother-in-law of Blanche Wright of Elora. Predeceased by his parents, Joseph and Paulin (Magnus) Wright; one brother, Stewart and one sister, Helen and sister-in-law, Mildred. The family will receive their friends at the Graham A. Giddy Funeral Home and Chapel, 37 Church St., Elora from 7-9 p.m. Tuesday and 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. today (Wednesday). A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the St. Marys RC Church, 267 Geddes St., Elora, on Thursday, Jan. 9, 2003 at 11 a.m., with Father P. Sherratt officiating at the service. Followed by interment at the St. Marys-St. Josephs RC cemetery in Elora. Remembrances to the St. Marys Building Fund in Elora or the Groves Memorial Community Hospital would be appreciated by the family.

JONES, Beatrice Adeline (nee-Calvert) - Of Guelph, passed away, at The Elliott Home, Guelph, on Friday, Jan. 3, 2003, in her 89th year. Beloved wife of the late John Lindsay Jones (2000). Loved mother of Howard and wife Maureen of California, Clarine and husband Doug Lace of Guelph and Glen Jones and wife Barb of British Columbia. Loving grandmother of Sandra (Don), Donna, Karen, Kevin, Kyla, Brian and Stephen. Great-grandmother of Justin, Emily and Faith. Dear sister-in-law of Audrey Jones; Sister Elizabeth (Verna) Jones and Clayton and wife Harriet Jones, all of Guelph. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by a twin sister, Blanche Gandier. Friends will be received at the Wall-Custance Funeral Home and Chapel, 206 Norfolk St., Guelph, Tuesday (7-9 p.m.) and Wednesday (10-11 a.m.). Funeral service will be held, in the funeral home chapel, Wednesday, Jan. 8, 2003 at 11 a.m. with the Rev. David Dyke officiating. (Reception to follow in the Wall-Custance Family Reception Centre). GEE, Roy Henry - Of Guelph, passed away peacefully, at Guelph General Hospital, Sunday, Jan. 5, 2003, in his 77th year. Beloved husband of Delores (Stone) Gee. Loved father of Pauline, Darla, Lorraine, Yvonne and Cynthia. Loved grandfather of six grandchildren; great-grandfather of nine great-grandchildren. Predeceased by a grandson. Loving father of Terry and his partner Cindy of Guelph, Steven and his wife Marie of Belwood, Cindy Male and her husband Anthony Verhart of Ingersol, Debbie Male and her husband Russell Dunbar of Guelph and Cathy and her husband Patrick Barr of Guelph. Loving grandfather of Laura, Meaghan, Adam, Alexandra, Jeremiah and Jessie. Loving brother of Harry, Gordon and Marion. Predeceased by his brothers, Roy and Bob and his sister, Florence. For many years Dan was employed with Guelph Campus Co-Operative and will be missed by many friends. Resting at the Gilbert MacIntyre and Son Funeral Home, 252 Dublin St. N., Guelph where the family will receive friend today (Monday) 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, Jan. 7, 2003 at St. John's church at 11 a.m. Interment at Marymount cemetery. TUSHINGHAM, Melville Arthur ("Bud") - Courageously, at Guelph General Hospital, with his family at his side, on Saturday, Jan. 4, 2003. Bud Tushingham, in his 61st year, was the beloved husband of Jacqueline (Goulet) Tushingham of Guelph. Loving father of Rhonda and her husband John Harbart, Muriel McMahon and Butch Mercer, all of Guelph, LeeAnn and her husband Rey Abruzzi of Niagara on the Lake and Bill McMahon and his wife Rebecca of Texas. Grandfather of Cassie, Breanna, Taylor, Lucas, Maizy, Sophie and on waivers; Michael, David M., David H., and Krystina. Brother-in-law of Jack Goulet and his wife Freda. For many years Bud was employed with Con Cast Pipe in Guelph and was an avid member of the Guelph Cutten Club. He leaves behind many, many friends. Resting at the Gilbert MacIntyre and Son Funeral Home, 252 Dublin St. N., Guelph where the family will receive friend today (Monday) 7-9 p.m. and Tuesday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A funeral service will take place at Dublin Street United Church (154 Dublin St., Guelph) on Wednesday, Jan. 8, 2003 at 1:30 p.m. with the Rev. HENDRY, Margaret Ida "Peggy" (nee Berry) - Peacefully, with her family by her side, at Guelph General Hospital, on Saturday, Jan. 4, 2003. Peggy Hendry, in her 79th year, was the loving wife of Patrick Paul Hendry of Guelph. Dearest mother of Paul and his wife Marie and Patricia and her husband Robert Dickinson, all of Guelph and Sharon Hendry of Victoria, BC. Dearest grandmother (Ayah) of Michael, Paul, Christopher, Crystal, all of Guelph and Richard and Rosemarie of Victoria, BC. Predeceased by her daughter, Debra and grandson, Gary. Peggy was a graduate of St. Joseph's Hospital Nursing (1946) and worked for St. Joseph's Hospital for many years, nursing in the Obstetrics Department, then transferred to Guelph General Hospital until her retirement in 1987. Resting at the Gilbert MacIntyre and Son Funeral Home, 252 Dublin St. N., Guelph, where the family will receive friends today (Monday) 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A funeral mass will be celebrated at Sacred Heart Church on Tuesday, Jan. 7, 2003 at 10 a.m. Interment Marymount cemetery , Guelph. A vigil for Peggy will take place this evening (Monday) at 7 p.m. As expressions of sympathy, donations to a charity of choice would be appreciated by the family.

MULLIN, Kenneth Gerald - At Guelph General Hospital, on Saturday, January 4, 2003. Ken Mullin, at the age of 81 years. Beloved husband of Barbara (Benedict) Mullin. Loved father of Barbara Lynn Mullin of Fergus, Pam Langer (Bob) of Chemainus, B.C., Colleen Calverly (Bob) of Victoria, B.C., Joanne Willis (Clae) of Hamilton, Carl Mullin (Liz) of Owen Sound and Jeff Mullin (Sue) of Blyth. Sadly missed by his 16 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Dear brother of Marion Turnhout (Art) of Guelph, Dorothy Weller (Howard) of Ingersoll, Jack Mullin of Guelph, Cleve Mullin (June) of Arthur, Grant Mullin (Pauline) of Elora, the late Lorraine Andrews, Jean McLelland, Edward and Harold Mullen. Always remembered by his many nieces and nephews. Ken was a retired truck driver with Inter City Truck Lines, a member of the 29th Field Artillery and the Sunshine Club at Trinity United Church.
