GREEN, Mary M. - Of Guelph, passed away peacefully, at Guelph General Hospital, Saturday, November 30, 2002, in her 90th year. Beloved wife of the late Fred Green (1997). Loved mother of Bill and wife Marilyn Green of Peterborough, Ted and wife Diane Green, Doug and wife Bernice Green, all of Guelph and was predeceased by her daughter, Peggy Cabeldu (1998) and her son-in-law, Gord Cabeldu (2000). Loving grandmother of Cathy, Susan and husband Steve, Jeff, Greg and wife Brenda-Lee, Brad and wife Shelley, Jodi and Jamie. Also survived by nine great-grandchildren. Predeceased by brothers, Jim, Henry, Andrew and Clarence Leachman and a sister, Eleanor Gilchrist. Mary and her husband Fred operated Green's Food Service for many years. Mary had been active on the board with the CNIB and was a faithful member of Calvary Baptist Church. Beloved brother of Grace MacNairn (Halifax); loving uncle of Cynthia (Seattle), Gwendolyn (Halifax), James (Michigan), Ian (Maryland) and Nancy (Halifax). Born in Toronto, November 1, 1915; grew up in China; graduated in Applied Arts from Mount Allison University; served in the Canadian Army; taught at the Erin District High School, the Guelph Recreation Centre and gave private lessons in his kitchen studio. His art ranged through oils and watercolours to work in leather, silver, copper, wood, soapstone, pottery and enamel - there was Art in his name and Art in his life, which he generously shared with all who knew him.
